Red for Filth by Alaska is exquisite!!! When Alaska said that she had been working on this for 10 Years, you could tell just by smelling it that she had been. My first time I got a head rush which was crazy, but interesting. You immediately are hit with what I think is cocaine, and then this gasoline smell emerges with an almost cinnamon type of note and from there the cocaine and cinnamon take effect. Think of an herbal cinnamon, not cinnamon candy. Those two notes, at least on me, stay throughout the rest of the day I wear it. By the way, it is an insane compliment getter. Every time I wear this I get stopped at least once or twice. I was afraid of blind buying it, but I do not regret it. If you prefer sweet or gourmand fragrances, you may dislike this scent. If you like earthy, woody, or chypre aromatic fragrances, this is up your alley. Packaging: when I first opening the box, it broke in half and I docked a point for that because the packaging was cheap. The bottle: Simple and generic, but I am thankful more time was spent on juice than packaging. Scent: 1000/10: Unique, Different, Outstanding EDIT: Been wearing this scent since May, and I wouldn’t purchase it again. I get tired of the smell after a while. However, I get nothing but compliments on it.

Way to go Alaska! This is androgynous. This is like a well-manicured freshly-cut grass where the mower accidentally ran over basil in the garden. It smells like tea time at grandma’s house if your grandmother is extremely wealthy and modern feminist former attorney. it reminds me of the Boston Revere’s white tea scent that they have pumping into the vents and into the lobby. It’s perfect for an office. Cookout with friends. Or like me, I’m wearing this today and tomorrow at Pride weekend. Oh, also, this is not cloying and it’s not heavy, but it isn’t empty either. It’s very crisp. Great for summer but would work for all seasons honestly. Excellent 5/5

Dear Alaska, your makeup may be terrible, but your fragrance is a winner, baby. All of these intriguing notes come together to give me the impression of funky hyper-real florals to start, quickly fading into sweet black ink from a ballpoint pen with a touch of lilac and saliva. I am living. I'm not very experienced in niche fragrances, so to me this is totally unique and exciting. The creativity is apparent, but its still very wearable, fun, addictive and not overly conceptual or weird. Its just weird enough. I'm so jazzed that Red for Filth became a real product and that I own it!

In my opinion, this smells like one of those dirty sexy scents that some people enjoy. What I mean is that it has a similar style (not scent) to Salome by Papillon or Muscs Koublai Khan by Serge Lutens. So, if you like that type of perfume, I think you will like this one too. Of course, those scents can be polarizing and so will this one, so if you have the ability to sample it first, definitely do that. If you are judging this scent just b/c it's from a drag performer, then you really are missing out on an interesting fragrance.

This is one of the best smelling fragrances I own, it lasts for a long time and smells great into the drydown. Received lots of compliments on it at work, I sprayed it on my skin around 9 am and I could still smell it on my skin at 9 pm. My only complaint is that I wish the scent came in a larger size because I’m going to need to repurchase this one again in the near future

Great perfume, I particularly enjoy the middle and base notes! More longwear than I expected it to be for the very reasonable price.

I thought the people saying this was overpriced were referencing the Ad at first, but it’s possible they’re just homophobic gleaming from what people are saying. It becomes quite tame after an hour but the longevity is descent. It’s quite a unique blend that brings down to earth resin, violet, and leathery notes with floral sharp lilac together. It’s quite earthy and hippie esque but doesn’t smell dirty like Boy Smells perfumes do. Overall I pretty sophisticated perfume from a celebrity line. Accurately priced too.

Bought this at drag con a couple years back and completely forgot about her til now! This is so weird and fun! It’s a synthetic and sharp opening, and it feels dirty and unnerving. Is this what drugs smell like? The turmeric is quite present and you can really get the labdanum! This, unfortunately, is not for me in the slightest. It reminds me a bit of a back alley. I like it more once it dries down. This is all leather and latex and a bad hook up. I will be keeping this as a drag and fragrance collector, but oh my goodness is this an odd one! Pretty on par for Alaska, though. There is a slightly addictive quality to it. Even though I don’t really enjoy, smelling it I can’t stop sniffing my arm. There is a wonderful floral note at the heart that is quite captivating.

I get the leather and violet leaf most prominently! It's a lovely scent that seems to be inspired a little by Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga Paris. Maybe with a little Pharrell Williams Girl thrown in! I'm not really picking up other notes right now. I was hoping to detect the turmeric and mimosa. I must be anosmic to cocaine, because it's never had a smell to me! I do know others who say they can smell it, though.

@sophie sanderson: girl, why? WHY? Why would you deliberately leave your opinion on a fragrance that’s is apparently not your taste? Why would you thrash the perfume without even smelling it first? And on the review section???? There is literally a post about it where you can actually leave your opinion, like... I will never understand why people likes to behave like this. /end of rant

as my perfumes are from well known perfume houses perfumes that are feminine and are worth buying the name of this is just well not appealing at all and isn't some thing I'd want in my perfume collection and also some of the notes are not to my taste no this does not interest me at all its a NO from me

I will only buy perfumes from well known designers and perfume houses that have bn around for yrs who know how to make perfumes that smell feminine that are worth buying the name of this is sadly not very appealing and some of the notes in this are also not to my taste this is definitely a no from me

My bottle came today. If you told me it was Tom Ford I would believe you. It’s interesting. I smell a tea. I smell leather and fruit, but unsure what. I really like this. Unisex for sure. Not sure what cocaine smells like, but the fragrance is addicting.

I cannot wait to get my nose on this! 😂 Straight on my want list without knowing what it smells like - and even though I’m in the UK and probably won’t be able to get hold of it anytime soon 🙁

Cocaine smells like the gasoline that is used to synthesize it (allegedly). Shall I make an all-natural imitation of this fragrance?

Forgive my non-review but: 1. Cocaine ABSOLUTELY has a smell. And a taste. 2. Red for Filth- Are you red-y for me? 😌

Cocaine does not smell! Attracting people on a false premise :-/
