McQueen Eau Blanche

Colour me surprised! What a luscious, refreshingly sweet tuberose scent this is! The reviewer below me, Anamandy, & also Seducianne described 'Eau Blanche' perfectly. It's a rich, bubble-gum tuberose (which I LOVE. Yay!). Same as the one you'd find in Mancera's 'Velvet Vanilla'. Except it's not thickened by the vanilla cream...instead airy & bright like spring! Initial spray on my skin I immediately get the tuberose and some tart greenness (never smelled violet leaf). What I like is the greenness is fresh, slightly aquatic and not herbal at all. As it develops on my skin I get more ylang-ylang than jasmine, however it's so easy to detect both flowers! Honestly I am not a fan of pure florals. And tuberose is an iffy note that can give vintage vibes...But that's SO not the case here! The bubble-gum tuberose and ylang ylang combo gives 'Eau Blanche' delicious velvety, banana facets. The dry down is a faint musk, a hint woodsy with 0 powder (thank goodness) but with florals still prominent. This was a love-at-first-sniff & dry down for me. 'Eau Blanche' is modern, sophisticated and absolutely delightful. Not to mention immensely versatile & inoffensive! Easy office scent. Verdict: A hidden gem. Get it if you're looking for a youthful, creamy bubble-gum tuberose. P.S. the bottle is SO CUTE!

I can't describe my fascination about it. I just back from Sacks 5th Ave, Michigan ave in Chicago.. and I am so truly, sensitive about this scent. I don't know even what type of words to use it to describe it. I am speechless. Delicate, girly, femine....unique. If I had a date now... I would just wear it. I would put hair down, sexy white dress and leather jacket...and red lips to seduce my man. What I would do is: I would spray it over my light dry hair and on my hands...I would wait till my man will put his lips on my lips.. neck and I would let him to get creazy with me. Incredible sexy...perfect for dinner... and romantic walk with your man. Magical... I would wear it ...afternoon and night...Amazed... by quality... Around black and purple edition the white is my number one. Thank you Alexander, I love you. You are the master of a really unique piece...I can;t imagine.. how important this perfume is now in the whole history of perfumes. It deserves a nice memory, and good attention in the perfumes market... and history. Dry down on my scarf is heavenly after 3 days. <3 <3 <3

Yet another McQueen to love! I have the original McQueen and left a review for that already, but the vetiver and overdose of pepper was killing it in the winter, turning the scent sharp and brash. In the warm weather it behaved like a totally different scent and became a beautiful, deep and rich woody floral, though the silage and longevity changed too, and not for the better. Enter Eau Blanche. What a charmer she is! Soft, sweet, sensuous, yet bright and light, with a big, bubblegum tuberose (the type I normally hate – but not here!), voluptuous jasmine, and creamy, fruity, banana ylang. The violet leaf opening is inspired, adding a lovely garden-fresh dimension, and unlike the OG fragrance, I am not getting hit over the head with the woody notes. They are perfectly done. While the base is softly musky, it's not powdery, and stays floral all the way through. Fantastic silage and longevity too. Oh, you guys have no idea how much I am loving this. I am head over heels for this adorable perfume. PS - It lasts forever on my skin.

Indeed an interesting perfume. It smells classy and authentic, I haven't been able to detect anything synthetic or dissatisfying about it yet. It starts off with a blend of all the notes together, then it gets lighter. Truth be told, it reminded me a lot of Terracotta from Guerlain, then I realized they both contain Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, and Musk. Still, I find Terracotta sweeter, because of the Tiare and Coconut. This one has an earthier- neutral approach. You can definitely smell the woody notes together with flowery ones. It kinda reminds me of Summer's morning hours, before the sun comes out when the smell of blooming flowers is so intense, and you can smell the wood because of light humidity. It is an excellent perfume indeed. The only drawback for me is the sillage. It's a light perfume which means that people should come close enough in order to smell it well. On the other hand, that makes it perfect for office jobs, or night dates when one does not wish to smell very intense. Highly recommended!

This is a gorgeous, soft yet realistic tuberose. It’s neither indolic nor too green, it opens slightly dewy and tart and later evolves into a balanced, crisp, breezy tuberose. It gets warmer after a couple of hours, but it stays fairly linear for the whole evolution, which is about 4 hours on my skin. I would say it’s a perfectly clean, feminine perfume, with a pinch of that narcotic vibe so typical to white florals, but imo quite safe and inoffensive (at least for someone who knows they love tuberose). I imagine this worn in warmer, but not hot temperatures, perhaps in a spring / early summer day, wearing a soft, pastel colored silk or linen dress.

My husband surprised me with this for my birthday. He doesn't often buy me perfume because he's worried ill hate it. Due to the fact its similar to truth or dare I love it. However truth or dare is obviously a lot more nuclear. I had truth or dare twice years ago when it was cheap and sold them on ebay. Now I wish I hadn't. I'm going to try the original Alexander McQueen in autumn because as much as I love this one it doesn't last long or project much. But it's do lovely so I will use it with wild abandon in this hot weather.

On me it’s a soft tuberose - with musk, ylang-ylang and jasmine in the background. It lasts quite long but isn’t overpowering at all. It reminds me of a perfume I wore when I was young 20-25 years ago - but I can’t quite pinpoint which. Edit: I figured it out. This reminds me of a soft, gentle version of Jean Paul Gaultiers Fragile

Tuberose just like I love it. Gentle. Smooth and not too sweet. Doesn't knock you off your feet, very wearable and pleasant. The longevity is good. The bottle deserves special attention - the shape itself is beautiful, and the textured cap is just a delight, it is very pleasant to touch it.

Tuberose is so finely softened by ylang, and cooled by musk, wood and leaves. You have to love tuberose to enjoy this. It is so sweet from tuberose, fresh and refreshing from the leaves and musk. Wonderfully. The bottle is very high quality, it is a pleasure to apply.

This is as close to gourmand without tuberose smelling like bubble gum as I have ever smelled. It dries down to a very pretty woodsy musk that is reminiscent of vanilla absolu. How that happened may have more to do with my chemistry than anything else, and I love it.

I have 2 in the collection & I love them both. This Eau Blanche is a white floral lover's gift. Not too harsh or sharp. Just lovely & blended to perfection. Moderate projection & sillage. Last about 4-5 hrs on me. She is fantastic in the heat of summer. 🤍☀️😎

This, to me, would be the perfect wedding perfume. It's a white floral extravaganza and so, so feminine. It's definitely one that would be remembered you wore it on your special day. Jasmine and Tuberose are the stars of this show.

jasmine, ylang, tuberose, musk in that order in the top then the middle is lots of tuberose and the indolic skanky muskiness from the jasmine; lovely

This is a beautiful classy tuberose fragrance that on my skin lasts 7+ hours without becoming just a skin scent.

Take Amouage Honour or Gucci Bloom, add more violet leaf, some more musk and you get Eau Blanche. If you are not familiar with violet leaf, imagine just slightly acidic, barely powdery, freshly crushed green note. Amouage Honour in comparison is more mature and confident, Gucci Bloom is most cheerful and lively, Eau Blanche - fragile, dreamy and tender, and unique, too. Elegant perfume, tuberose here acts as a slip silk camisole, it is the same category fragrance as is Pure Poison by Dior. Graceful, soft, feminine. The green side of it where I feel most jasmine and violet leaves lasts for about half an hour, after that it turns to creamy, sweet, subtle tuberose and ylang-ylang. Drydown is very faint smelling woodsy tuberose. I have to mention that the entire composition smells a bit perfume-y, it doesn't smell like a natural flower, so if you are after that effect, this might not be for you. +

Soft and interesting, this is similar to an old Guerlain perfume and the papery wooden notes overlaying the violet leaf & tuberose conjure up The Notebook....this is the reflective perfume of longing and wistfulness on an Autumn day, the subtle but everlasting beauty that is sprayed on a significant letter...quite intriguing.

Bubble gum and jasmine. Little bit serious, grown up, nostalgic scent. Nice white floral composition. Kind of reminds me of Hanae Mori butterfly, but this is stronger in a way. Only downside is it does not last much 2 hrs maybe.

I love tuberose and I’m a big fan of this - a blind buy that didn’t disappoint! I was worried it’d be a little on the ‘old lady’ side but I feel it’s youthful, wearable and the bottle is beautiful.

Sadly doesn’t last on me. It was a blind buy for me from TK Maxx. And I am a bit disappointed 😢. It smells really good and expensive at first, but disappears very quickly on me for some reason. Just like others described- it smells of elegant white florals with a bit of greenery. Tuberose is not overpowering due to the violet leaf 🍃, but also vanishes way too quickly. 30 minutes and it is gone. So feels like a mediocre perfume, and not like the one with actual retail price of over 100 pounds. I wish I checked deals on Amazon before buying it from TK Maxx. Assumed it was an amazing deal, but it is not. Amazon also has it on sale for 35 pounds. Not sure if something happened to the batch and outlets got it or this perfume does not perform well on some people. By the way it doesn’t have anything in common with the Amouage perfume. I wish I did not by this and some other perfumes on sales and got another premium scent. Conclusion: Don’t buy if you are after premium/boutique perfume. Save money and treat yourself to some real goodness.

It's OK. Very traditionally feminine perfume. I understand the comparison to Honour from Amouage - it's a bit like Honor, diluted by a factor of 10. At least. Honour is very oily, yellow-floral-smelling, slightly beachy, and those notes definitely appear here too, just in a way less aggressive way. It also reminds me of the quality of Chambaud fragrances: mid-end. I bought my bottle used, for $40, and that's the price I would be willing to pay for this. The way I enjoy wearing this is layered with N.C.P Olfactives Saffron & Oud. It then becomes less tame, with the added spicy and woody notes.

You had everything set up for a truly excellent gothic sweet sixteen birthday party. Invitations were sent on jet black vellum, your dress (more of a ballgown, really) looked like a decadent layer cake of cascading ebony tulle, and your home was festooned wall-to-wall in deep blood red roses, fully in bloom. The problem was, no one showed up. For the first half-hour, you sat immersed in all of this sensual dark beauty you had created, full of excited anticipation. After that, nothing. You were empty and disappointed.

This is a bit to ozonic for me. I can't get past the violet leaf. I get the tuberose, jasmine etc... but the ozonic accord for my nose is too strong.

Not terrible but not good either. Has a weird sharp note. Kinda smells like pee.

Another McQueen with no gardenia. Why? Does Jasmine sambac and tuberose now = gardenia to my nose? The edp version played this same trick with me, but I am not complaining. Note of tuberose, which I usually avoid is not prominent here. it seems the same as the edp, I cannot notice any difference, except maybe one will outlast the other? Maybe only in price difference and hardly any woods and perhaps a tad of musk. If I inhale deeply close to my skin I can sense the tuberose and perhaps yang-ylang. That said, still a wonderful, almost soliflori soft gardenia fragrance. Not much projection, unless you want to douse yourself then that would be too over the top for such a soft fragrance.

I'll start with the cons: this is your basic, feminine, bubblegum white floral. It follows the ubiquitous formula of so many popular women's fragrances: tuberose, jasmine, and a hint of white musk. That being said, it's an excellent representative of its genre. The tuberose is intoxicating and bright, while the woody note that emerges in the drydown is sophisticated and calming. I think of a white handmade lace curtain in a sunny window of a summer cabin–it's a little antique without being antiquated. Overall, I'm not sure it's unique enough for me to invest in a big bottle (I reach for Marc Jacobs Original when I want a white floral,) but I am enjoying testing it.

The opening between Blanche and the original McQueen is very similar but then as it dries down this one zigs where the other zags. Eau Blanche goes high and white flower (tuberose) where McQueen goes deep and more wood and violet. Honestly I’m not sure that someone who is not into perfume would notice a difference. I prefer the original McQueen a little more because I’m drawn to deeper darker scents but this is a little gem too. And while some white flower scents seem inappropriate for wearing in winter does not. This sits on my shelf next to the original and both are highly wearable. If you see this on sale grab it.

I get tuberose and not much else. It is brighter and not so fleshy like in the original one, but it is a bit monotone. Ylang ylang makes a short apperance to give this fragrance a light summery touch, but it leaves the party very quicky.A light musky touch is also there, giving this fragrance a bit of sweetness, but it doesn't make a big difference.The jasmine is also shy. On me it is pretty much only tuberose.Don't get me wrong, it is a nice fragrance, but nothing really outstanding.

Amazingly beautiful scent, and I'm not typically a tuberose fan. This is tuberose in its most bland, whitewashed, effervescent, ephemeral. Ephemeral is the best word to describe this entire fragrance because it only lasts for a few minutes before truly disappearing altogether. Not even a hint left behind on the skin. It's a magic act. At least it's cheap.

just got this beauty yesterday & it is a lovely beautiful scent :) very pleasing if u are fond of tuberose, jasmine, ylang ylang or musk :) its blended wonderfully & even though the flowers in it can be quite strong in other scents however in this scent they are all very etheral & light............i imagine a fairy dancing in the garden :)

I am only starting the journey into the world of tuberoses and this is a perfect representation of inoffensive, cheerful and creamy white floral. Very balanced and rounded. Staying power is also very good. Great for summer evening nights out.

I'm officially not taking recommendations from you people anymore. This crap stinks!!!
