Anubis Kiss

Bravo Hany... after splashing out on Nostalgia, Sweet Smoke, Egyption King and King Tut I had a hankering for Black Afgano but simply refuse to splash that amount of cash on a supposedly reformulated weaker 30ml bottle. Splashed out on Anubis Kiss and it was delight at first sniff. Absolutely gorgeous stuff as are the others for that matter. I'm sorry but £100+ on 30ml is a little exuberant don't you think Nasomatto? Justifiable if you made it available in a 75-100ml but that for 30ml? No not in this day and age. Also I cannot say enough good things about Alexandria... Hany is truly doing something special with Alexandria, he is never too busy to answer questions and his fragrances perform how you would want and expect them too while not being unrealistic with their prices, not sure other indies can say the same to be fair. And up yours all the naysayers getting narky over these inspired creations... copying orginal work... my point being the case above. If you have the income to splash out and your willing to accept that poor level of performance on your skin then more power to you but the rest of us mear mortals will stick to what we can afford you snobs...

This is hands down one of the best fragrances I've ever worn. It doesn't smell like weed. To me, it is woody with a touch of sweetness and has this pungent (in a good way) scent that is sharp from up close but gives off a really unique and pleasant aroma. I've only worn it on cool nights, but I hope it is just as pleasant during warmer nights. Performance is crazy good; stays on skin throughout the night and into the next morning. On clothes...forever until washed. I'm curious to sample Black Afgano just to see how close they really are. I've sampled about a dozen of Alexandria's perfumes and I'll give them about 75% success rate. Black Tie Affair is my second favorite from this house. A couple others need more work, IMO.

Dark woods, heavy incense and a touch of green notes with a hint of cannabis sweetness and freshness comes out on my skin. It’s weirdly fresh considering it’s composition. My partner smelled it and she instantly loved it for its freshness, however I enjoy it for the dark, warm and resiny smell it radiates off of me. It reminds me of my incense box when I lay down to read at night. A calming and grounding fragrance. For me it’s a definite keeper. I will use it mostly on colder days of spring/fall and winter both as an office scent and for nights cuddled up in the sofa with my partner

Okay, it smells like hash in the opening. Yes. But once you get past that, it's a woody, aromatic masterpiece. I wore it to work last week (hesitantly) and got nothing but great feedback. It smells like nothing anyone else is wearing. Daring, dark, sensual, earthy. It's amazing. And it lasts FOREVER if you spray it on clothes. Longevity is beyond beast and projection is great. Get past the "it makes you smell like weed" thing, on dry down, it smells like nothing else on the market. 9/10

The only way someone wouldn't quantify this as beast mode is because they went ansomnic to it. This is STRONG juice. I washed with soap and water and it still smelled like it until I scrubbed. That said this is a very resiny, earthy fresh scent that comes off a little damp and sweet as well. It really feels like a piney moistfirest floor minus the skankiness. Be warned this is very polarizing. People are either interested or offended, so this is a "for you" scent.

The sticker on my bottle is white, not black as shown on this picture. It smells just like Black Afgano, dark, mysterious and smoky. However, it is not as potent as Black Afgano. I sprayed one spray on my arm 2 hours ago and I can barely smell it unless I lift my arm close to my nose. Perhaps it is not the best weather to use this one now as it is approximately 24 degree Celsius. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Projection: 8/10

That's my first fragrance from Alexandria Fragrances house, I buy it for myself on my birthday, and I love it, I never try original Black Afgano, but this one is awesome. It's dark, original , interesting, gives me a relaxing vibes. After this fragrance, I'm buying 7 more from this house and only 2 of them are on same level with that for me. 10/10.

WOW!!! this is MAGICAL!!! so masculine, sophisticated and VERY potent! I won about 60 different fragrances and this one has catapulted to my top 3 in a VERY short time! buy it and love it! Thecheckoutguy@ You are out of your mind , or...there's. something seriously wrong with your nose. Anubis Kiss is pleasant and long lasting, it was a successful blind buy for me and some other Alexandria perfumes I have. Go buy yourself some Avon stink-bombs, take my advice.

Mr. Hany Hafez has created a monster....damnnnnnnn....im blown away....save your money, dont buy black Afghano...its very weak after reformulation and still so expensive...this one called Anubis Kiss is a nuclear version of BA....wow 10....no weakness

An incredible, totally accurate rendition of Black Afgano. Alexandria Fragrances have captured everything that makes Nasomatto’s fragrance so special. I’m so impressed. Will be saving up for a full bottle of this now.

Sometimes you need to let Alexandria's fragrances sit for around 4 weeks too fully mature. If he was buying premade oils then they wouldn't need to sit. You just have to be patient

There's not much to say except that this is an amazing clone of the legendary Black Afgano. If BA's your kinda perfume (like me) then buy this without hesitation!

WHEEEED I am surprised as to how accurately this frag captures that hashish aroma, stunning! That said, I think it smells better than what it is inspired by. 9/10

Not just masculine, deep and earthy , another success for Alexandria !!! Better than Black Afgano IMO.

I blind bought this fragrance based on the reviews here, and just received my bottle today. I have read the reviews stating Anubis Kiss to be more of a skin scent, and on my first day trying it out, I felt that I agreed with these sentiments. However, this is one skin scent that lasts for days! At the first spray I could see why the reviews have compared it to Black Afghano; it has been inspired by Nasomotto’s creation, and they do indeed smell similar. As much as all the notes appear to be there, I had found BA to be a lot stronger with regards to sillage and projection, and with a bit more depth. Black Afghano is more crude and dirty. I find Anubis Kiss to smell uncannily similar to a thick, dark brown oud perfume oil I had purchased in Fes, Morocco a couple of years back; it is deep and resinous with a warm, ambery sweetness running through it, but it also showcases this sparkling green note that makes it so enchanting and almost clean-smelling, like Imperial Leather soap, on the dry down. I was also strongly reminded of a DS & Durga fragrance, of which three blotters lay for months on my dressing table. It was either Amber Teutonic or Notorious Oud, but I suspect the former due to its aromatic green and woody notes that shone through in exactly the same way as they do with Anubis Kiss. I have also found Anubis Kiss to project prominent sandalwood notes on my skin. Having said that, this could be down to me using sandalwood powder as a deodorant. Either way, it is the woody notes that remain on my skin. Again, a clean and soft, almost feminine, temple scent. To get that nostalgic sweet-smoky note of the incense and the cannabis that you are greeted with in the opening notes I have had to really dig my nose into my skin. I would have personally liked those crude, sticky, animalistic notes to have carried themselves throughout the long lifetime of the fragrance, but the tame and disciplined nature of Anubis Kiss does allow it to be worn as a universal scent at any time of the day. EDIT: One week later - I put two sprays of this on before making my weekly trip to see my Kurdish barber this morning. It took an hour to get there on the tube and bus (and it was hot today), and it takes an hour to cut my hair, etc. At the end, when he was washing my hair, he said to me that my fragrance was very strong. He was not able to fully describe it, and I’m not sure he was a fan. Regardless, it goes to show that Anubis Kiss is definitely not a skin scent, and I actually really, really like it.

Whooweee...this sample I got in with my other order is a straight up weed frag!!! Holy shinola...it's like someone took the bowl of a bong that's been used for a weekend of fun, scraped out the residue, put it into a bottle of a Woody-Oud fragrance and let it ferment and just get stronger and stronger for 3 months. The result...is what you have here in "Anubis Kiss". This is powerful, amazing smelling and beautiful!! This frag lasts for friggin DAYS!! The few shots I sprayed on a test-napkin literally have been fragrant for a straight-up week!! Same as the real thing...this just lasts and lasts and you're gonna be noticed wearing this. After the cannabis note dries down...this is the most heavenly dark-woody-resinous fragrance I've smelled in a LONG time! I can't claim to have ever smelled "Black Afgano" as these types of frags aren't my deal. But I remember the smell of that lifestyle and those that lived in it...this frag captures that essence PERFECTLY!! I don't want to be yanked for a random drug test so I'll never wear this frag. I'll just sniff-sniff-pass it on to a friend that indulges in that lifestyle... Wow...this stuff is wild! If I could get away with wearing this I would buy a full size bottle...but my lifestyle doesn't match up with the image it conveys in the opening...legalized or not.

I like it...just don’t love it. Much better in the air than up close. Opens with a very green Cannabis note. One can tell that the oud and incense are peaking around the corner. As it dries down, the incense really comes to life blending with the cannabis nicely. The oud in this is not skanky/fecal, but really there to add depth and complexity. Don’t let the oud note scare you away from at least trying this one. Longevity is above average, projection is average. For men...best for fall and winter, but could be pulled off in spring. I enjoyed my sample and the few times I wore it. It just doesn’t pop enough in any particular area for me to purchase. Again, it is a like...no love. As always, get a sample to get your own opinion.

For me, a like but not a love. It does not smell like weed. It also has a harsh chemical smell when you first apply it, although this only lasts a few minutes. After that, it's a full blast of woody, oudy, resin for 8 to 12 hours. While listed as unisex, I would consider this to be primarily a masculine scent. I also would not recommend this to anyone just starting out on their fragrance journey. This is a scent you have to work your way up to. I've never owned Black Afgano, so I won't make any comparisons here. But I've tried several other Alexandria clones via their sample pack and they've all come very close to matching scents I have owned.

This is spot-on with Black Afgano. I'd say 95% similar. Unfortunately (as is the case with most AF perfumes), the performance is garbage. I can't even detect it after about an hour.... My advice would be to save up and just buy the actual Black Afgano because it has beast mode performance, whereas this clone is a joke. I don't understand why Alexandria Fragrances insists on giving these clone fragrances horrendous performance, meanwhile their own signature creations last for days on-end, but don't smell very good. FIX IT!!!
