Chic Magnet

I never had the pleasure of smelling Magnetism back in the day and it looks like I never will, seeing the prices a bottle goes for! But AF's recreation is a beautiful suede-glove kind of a fragrance. Saffron, leather, amber, woody musk. Simple, elegant, just delightful. There is mild sweetness in the background but nothing syrupy or cloying. Everything is balanced and in harmony. Think what you will about clone houses, but I am thankful that AF brings these discontinued gems back to life for us to continually enjoy. Even if you don't have memories of Escada's original, Chic Magnet is a fantastic fragrance on its own. The Sillage is modest, longevity quite good. Perfect for work or indoor settings in any season. I picked up my bottle on eBay, sold directly from Alexandria Fragrances, for only $29.99. I am really enjoying everything I own from this house.

My father had Magnetism when I was a kid. All though I haven't smelled it since then, I remember it was something special and to this day I can place it amongst one of the most pleasant fragrances I have smelled in my life. I got my hands on chic magnet today and boy did it trigger some nostalgic flashbacks! It isn't exactly like the OG but very close, enough to trigger that nostalgia that made me smile which was cool to experience. Sillage seems a bit low, although only tried it on a piece of paper to try upon opening. Other than that, super happy to have it in my collection!

I have a 50ml discontinued Prada Magnetisme bottle that I love soo much. The opening here is spot on 95% similar to Prada Magnetisme, the dry down is 90% close to it (in the dry down i get a tiny hint of soapiness, but its splitting hairs). I'm really really impressed by the fragrance similarities and the quality. One of the best fragrances of this house. I highly recommend Magnetic Chic if you love and miss Prada Magnetisme. Big respect.

Never had the OG but this is just wonderful. It’s soft, not too rich or dark or spicy, the saffron and musk work well together. Easy wear anywhere honestly.

Wow this smells fantastic, and is semi nostalgic. I've never smelled the original but it does smell slightly familiar. Sexy, like a better prada homme.

Definitely top 5 out of the many (40+) samples that I've tried from this house. Fantastic.

Escada's Magnetism was a 1 of a kind frag when it was released.... I can't even remember how many bottles of it I went through during its heyday.... Then , like almost all masterpiece frags, it gets discontinued(WHY ESCADA WHY?!?!).... Chic Magnet is an EXCELLENT dupe. Alexandria really knocked it out the park in terms of scent replication...... However! Longevity and sillage are nothing compared to the OG. Which wasn't a beast but had moderate projection and sillage. Chic Magnet however; abysmal longevity and sillage.

In the dry-down this could be a more subtle, more refined, suede slant on YSL's La Nuit de L'Homme. Not sure why the Escada original was ever discontinued. Shame this version's sillage and longevity are weakish. Otherwise another well crafted scent by Alexandria Fragrances.

I’ve been looking for a clone of Magnetism for YEARS. There’s nothing else really like it, it’s truly unique and to those who loved it will get a lovely dose of nostalgia from this. The opening surprised me with a face full of powder, I was worried....I don’t particularly like powdery notes and didn’t get the synthetic fizzy cola vibe I remembered from Magnetism, but the dry down is REALLY close. After about the 2hr mark it’s closest, maybe 90%....it’s less balsamic and synthetic than I remember, and the sillage and longevity is really not that great, but it definitely hits the spot in the actual scent. The postage to Australia is VERY expensive, so I’ll reorder if I want a few things from this house. Update: a week later and the powder has really toned down, and the balsamic notes are really coming out. It’s sooooo much better after sitting for a week, I’m surprised by the difference and am interested how it will smell in a few months.

This is interesting, though there are voices who say that these recreations are never going to capture the whole of the fragrance and its intricacies. It is also nowhere to be found anymore on the website of the manufacturer. Half the world either brought down their manufacturing capacities or a couple of lawyers happend to stand on the stairs, in espadrilles as it is springtime in the orange county, knocking at the door, embracing the owner with a friendly invitation to get some iced coffee. Afraid to never come back from this meeting, with iced coffee flowing through his veins, he texted his chief technical officer, head of the legal department, or simply himself, to immediately take down the respective article page.

Was instantly reminded of magnetism by escada. The first 30 minutes I smell a very super intense strong alcohol note along with the magnetism scent. Like I can feel my brain deteriorate when I breathe it in but after that its magnetism with a little bit fruitier note. Definitely great. I like it.

This is an amazing smell and is 95% close to Escada Magnetism.
