Dark Knight

I like this one quite a bit, I don't reach for it often but it's a favorite and a wonderfully attractive scent. I didn't know if I wanted to sample this one or not, reviews seemed mixed, had no clue what to expect reading the notes. I had just started getting into fragrances by way of Alexandria in March, I had started with 2 sample kits. The second order I picked up 3 more sample packs this was one I decided to get with that order. I actually smelled this not knowing what it was because come to find out, also in that order I got a sample of crystal peak, (Creed silver mountain water), it was actually the dark night juice in the crystal peak sample. It was the first sample I tried, I was blown away by what I was smelling. Now mind you I really had no idea what I was smelling then or what silver mountain water was supposed to smell like but I was under the impression this was it and I ordered a bottle of crystal peak the next day. A few days later I make my way around to the dark knight, I spray it on my hand, and I'm saying to myself this smells like something, identical to something else, and it just clicked, the crystal peak sample. (I already had a bottle on its way). So I didn't know what was what, I emailed Alexandria, they asked for a picture and from the color of the liquid determined I had 2 samples of the dark knight, 1 labeled crystal peak. So I was a but frustrated but they told me I could keep the bottle of crystal peak when it arrived and sent me a bottle of the dark knight free for the inconvenience. Turns out crystal peak is one of my least favorites, terrible performance, very weak, smell is not bad just awful performance. Long story Not short, before I began to get a better sense of different notes in fragrances, just going off what smelled great for me, this one really stood out. Now I can definitely pick out the chocolate, the caramel, a bit of coffee not so much rum but it's blended very well, one of the best gourmands I've tried. It's definitely more of a cool weather scent or night time scent, I like to wear it to work at times, it works well, I'm a baker and gourmand scents feel right in that environment. This thing lasts and lasts, I have no idea how the previous review said this doesn't last, perhaps a bad sample or needs to sit and be retested (yes if you've read like I did and thought it to be a bogus claim, sometimes these fragrances need to sit and macerate , I've experienced it to be true myself). There's been a handful of fragrances I've tried from this house I was ready to email them because I couldn't smell much of anything and after sitting a couple weeks and actually wearing the fragrances not just spraying on your hand, mostly everything from this house has pretty good if not excellent performance. When I was trying to figure out if this was the same as the sample I had labeled crystal peak, I had 2 wool hats, I sprayed 1 sample on one hat and one on the other. The hats smelled like dark night for over a week I think I smelled them 8 days later and still could smell it. The projection is also enormous, it will cloud a room up easily. Overall I really like this one, beautifully blended gourmand, probably up near if not in top 10 I've tried from Alexandria out of 155 of them.

I have this, Dua Black Widow, the Black Phantom take from Oil Perfumery, and another take from a Perfumer on Etsy. They all smell very similar, and my sample of Black Phantom is also in tune with these. Of the above mentioned, the Oil Perfumery take struggles most, because it stays very linear in the scent profile. With that out of the way, this is a great interpretation of the real item. I bought my 30ml well over a year ago, and only just started using it. I have noticed that Alexandria are now up to a third bottle line for production, which I believe is their way of focusing on improvements. The colour on this has proceeded to get darker, and I have heard that allowing these to age is beneficial, though I can’t say that this is really accurate, I will say that my Royal Equestrian gets stronger as time has elapsed and is an impressive Layton clone, as was Jazz Club (California Blues). I get the Rum, it is boozy and rich, I also get a refined caramel sugar note, melting sweetness but more inline with a dark chocolate richness (not a heavy sweet note) which I also get. I even pick up a gentle sandalwood that brings things altogether. This has depth, and while the booze is prominent, the scent is very exotic and performs amazingly well. I agree that if it was any louder it would become cloying, this is balanced very well. I feel this is extremely close to the real item, and worth getting to experience what Killian has created. As with most clone houses this is not necessarily a cheap approach, but this type of fragrance is not likely to be an everyday wear, so this is a cost effective way to get the experience. Some people have a “Great” nose and will pick up details others may miss, just as some people are very sensitive to certain notes that they may find repulsive while others will quite enjoy. When it comes to clone reviews, the criticism seems very divided, and that is certainly fair. For myself, as I experienced with “Aventus” the many many clones I had hit certain marks, some are good, some pretty awful, but you could tell the direction they were going. So if I have four clones, that are all very much in line with one another, I have to believe they were on the right track? Just as it was for Aventus, Layton and now Black Phantom after testing the real item I have to say the clones come in damn close. In the end, if your budget restricts you from buying the real item, or if you just find it hard to come by for purchase, this is a nice take on the scent. I LOVE FRAGRANCES, I enjoy exploring, it has become an addiction many here share I am certain. I hope to give informative reviews here to aid people in making a decision to purchase items for their collection no matter the size. Thanks to everyone that contributes, as you have all helped me many times over when making a purchase, and some have become my go to reviewers due to their consistency here. Hopefully my review is useful as I have not shared the experiences that many below stated with this clone, it could be a batch variation, or just a personal interpretation they have had, but for me this Alexandria offering is again a win.

Well,well,well...I 'm gonna hype this fragrance to the stars !!! I 'm collecting fragrances for the last 5 years.I 've scored 2009 vintage La Nuit de L'Homme, a 2010 vintage silver collar DHI, a 2017 DHP and I own a few niche . I have never been so imperessed with a perfume as I am with Dark Knight! Forget beast mode.This is Godzilla mode potency ,both in longevity and projection. I keep this in a drawer, and whenever I open it , it fills my room.I don't even have to remove the cap.!! Two sprays of this on skin or clothes sometimes feel to much... Now , comparison to Killian's Black Phantom. I tested Black Phantom yesterday,recent batch, in Killian's counter. Honestly, they are identical...with Dark Knight being the better choise. Why? Because Dark Knight literally DEVOURS Black Phantom when it comes to projection and lasting power. For me the only category that Killian's fragrance prevails is the presentation , the fancy bottle. In every other comparison, Alexandria's offering is the better choise. And NO, I am not some Hany's relative or friend. I am a guy who got sick of greedy companies ripping us off by offering watered down and reformulated perfumes. And I feel grateful to Alexandria Fragrances for this masterful ,yet so affordable creation. To Hany Hafez and Alexandria I say: 1) never discontinue or reformulate this gem! 2)fix some packaging issues.My bottle(55ml) came not in a box but in a pouch, and the plastic interior of the cap was detached from the wooden casing.... 3)consider your European fans and customers .Maybe it is time for an Alexandria EU branch. Personally ,I had to wait 2 months(shipping&customs) to receive my bottle... Actually,the main reason I haven't ordered more of your fragrances is the long waiting factor. Epilogue. One of my best blind buys ever!!! Tremendous value and quality!!

I fell in love with Black Phantom, however, the price per ml was simply too much for me to justify the purchase. Naturally I was looking for alternatives and I was happy to discover Dark Knight from a brand yet unknown to me. Blind bought it and prayed I wouldn’t regret. I own a number of (alleged) clones of popular fragrances. When I like a certain fragrance, I like to explore similar scents and sometimes cheaper alternatives for more casual wearing. With most clones/dupes it’s kinda hit or miss, more often the latter. Sometimes they smell relatively similar, in most cases they don’t. I knew what it should smell like but I didn’t actually have a chance to test Dark Knight since it had to be ordered online. Naturally I was a bit skeptical about how close it comes to Black Phantom. As soon as it arrived I tore the box open, quickly sprayed on my arm and was instantly blown away. This is hands down the best clone of any fragrance clones I’ve ever smelled. I own a small decant of Black Phantom which I sprayed on my other arm. I cannot really tell the difference. The scent is a beautiful and seductive gourmand, totally unisex. The caramel and coffee are quite prominent to my nose. I also get whiffs of bitter almond especially in the opening. I don’t really smell any rum, but somehow I typically don’t really detect any boozy notes in fragrances that claim to have them. Longevity and projection are comparable to the Black Phantom decant I own, perhaps even slightly better. I only regret having not discovered Dark Knight a bit earlier, since it is now getting warmer now and I’ll have to wait at least half a year to be able to enjoy wearing it. I’m also curious how good the other Alexandria releases are, I’m already contemplating a few other ones.

SCENT OF THE DAY: Much like the mysteries of the Great Pyramids; Dark Knight by Alexandria offers an intoxicating, dark and mysterious gourmand fragrance. For those who are new to Alexandria Fragrances, Dark Knight is a near indistinguishable inspiration of Kilian’s Black Phantom. During my testing of these fragrances I discovered both are near identical with the exception of one very important factor, longevity. Dark Knight opens with heady notes of chocolate and rum, drying down with a caramel, coffee and sandalwood accord. Dark Knight is a sweet boozy fragrance with depth that is warm, spicy and seductive. Dark Knight is a unisex fragrance and perfect for anytime of the year however, I believe Dark Knight is very masculine and better suited for Fall and Winter seasons. Longevity: I get about 8+ hours of longevity with Dark Knight. Disclosure: With Dark Knight having such a potent aroma, two to three sprays should suffice. Pricing and Alternatives: At the time of this review , Dark Knight can be purchased from Alexandriafragrance.com in two different sizes; 1oz for $39.99 or 2oz for $59.99. If you'd rather purchase the fragrance that ispired Dark Knight, Black Phantom can be purchased at many big box retail stores, i.e. Nordstrom, Saks and Neiman Marcus for about $295.99. Final thoughts: Dark Knight is an overall well-blended fragrance that does not lack depth or quality . For the price, it’s an absolute must have in any fragrance collection. Alexandria produces many original and inspired fragrances comparable to top tier fragrance houses, however, Dark Knight is an absolute beauty and takes my number one spot from the house of Alexandria.

I have Dark Knight sprayed on the back of my left hand and Black Phantom (from a decant supplied by Sad Muppet - thank you!) on the back of my right. They are similar - but there are differences. On spritzing, these are my first impressions: 1. Black Phantom is sweeter and (in my opinion) smells more "feminine". 2. Dark Knight is woodier and drier - this leans masculine. 3. I am getting a LOT more sweet caramel from Black Phantom and I'd describe it as a gourmand fragrance. 4. The coffee note in Dark Knight is stronger than in BP. 5. Black Phantom is boozier. 6. There's an undertone to Dark Knight - almost like petrol or one of its byproducts - which I am picking up if I sniff my hand from too close; I don't like that much (I can't smell it from further away and don't walk around with my nose buried in the perfumed areas of my skin, so it's not an issue). I become accustomed (and therefore almost "nose-blind") to Black Phantom within 30 minutes, whereas I can still smell Dark Knight. This experiment needs to be repeated, but I am reasonably sure that - as of this moment - I prefer Dark Knight to Black Phantom. It's fair to say I was not expecting this outcome. ETA. After five hours, I can't really tell difference between the two - but Dark Knight still projects further and smells stronger (on me). Edited again: I could still smell DK on my hand 12 hours after spraying, despite multiple washings; BP was a distant memory.

Okay buckle up soldiers here I go: This is a amazing clone of Black Phantom. The opening is a bit different, with a hint of a bitter almond. I actually like this more than BP's opening because I think it's more masculine. Dry down smells nearly identical. My friend and I did a side by side comparison and could barely tell the difference. We concluded DK has a bit more almond and a bit less sugar than BP. This is the best clone I have smelled, and highly recommend if you are looking for an alternative. In terms of the fragrance itself, I really enjoy it. The dark chocolate is prominent and smells sweet but not too feminine. Note that if you are an overweight person, I would highly urge you to stay away from this fragrance. It is only for those who are in immaculate physical condition and I would not want you to be tempted to eat yourself. Continuing, the performance is good not amazing. I have to spray it on my skin, because it smells a little strange on my clothes (less sweet more almond/woody). That takes away from the sillage, but the longevity is still top tier (8 hours). It is better in cooler weather, just because it's a sexy sweet fragrance. Overall my best purchase, please gatekeep this to real G's only. I will be inflicting this fragrance upon everybody I know whether they like it or not (they will love it, it smells like chocolate).

Wow...my 10ml sampler arrived today at lunch. I ran home to get it out of the mailbox and boy oh boy was I NOT disappointed!! (NOTE: I have never smelled Black Phantom) On opening spray you're hit with a wave of chocolate!! Then as it settles the caramel makes it's presence known and just envelopes you in this chocolatey caramelly cloud. Then the Almond and Coffee join the party and hoop it up with the Caramel and Chocolate and you have a grand party of scents going on that is bound to draw in anyone that is hungry, thinking about a snack, likes eating, likes fragrances, adores chocolate, adores coffee or just has a nose!! This lasts all day on you also! I love NOT having to carry around a travel sprayer to top-up on a fragrance. Put a few sprays of this on skin, and two on clothes...WHOOOWEE!!! You're going to smell GREAT all day! 17NOV22 Welp...tried it again this morning and it's chocolaty heaven! I GOTTA get a huge bottle of this! The coffee note in it is even amazing...this smoky roasted coffee note that is just so rich and dark and smoky and reminds me of when I worked at a Coffee Shop in Manhattan for a month back when I was a teenager. Loved the smell of that place even though I hated the job...lol 23NOV22 100ml bottle ordered! Come to daddy....

Alexandria Fragrances has done nothing but impressed me so far! I have not tried Black Phantom so this review will not be comparing Black Knight to Black Phantom. The opening smelled like nothing I have smelled before. To me, I get a blast of almond followed by the chocolate and caramel coming through. Once the fragrance dries down, it becomes an elegant blend of chocolate, rum, smoke, and woods. The ingredients in this fragrance smell very high quality! I am so happy I decided to blind buy this. This scent could easily be unisex but I would say it leans very slightly masculine. Alexandria's new packaging is also amazing! I purchased a 100ml bottle, it is a heavy blue glass bottle with a well designed front logo. The cap is a golden color and is also heavy as well. I am very impressed with the improvements to the presentation. I am very impressed with the performance! I sprayed 1 spray on my arm at 6:30 pm to test performance. The next morning around 10:00 am, I still smelled the fragrance in the air! I know performance can vary between people due to skin chemistry, but this performs like a beast on me. This is easily a 10/10 fragrance for me.

Here's a "Black Phantom By Kilian vs. Alexandria Fragrances Dark Knight" comparison/review from a novice nose: Scent profile: The opening is about 85% accurate. All of Black Phantom's notes are present, but the rum is slightly less pronounced, while the almond, dark chocolate, and coffee notes are noticeably amplified, making AF's interpretation less sweet and a tad more bitter. However, as it dries down, the sweeter notes (particularly caramel/sugar) become more prominent, and Dark Knight becomes so similar (+95%) to Black Phantom that I can hardly tell them apart. Performance: Dark Knight far outperforms the newer batches of Black Phantom, which have become considerably less potent. I easily get 8+ hours of longevity and 2-3 hours of strong projection with 3 sprays. Conclusion: Considering the price and performance difference, I would gladly choose Dark Knight over Black Phantom.

This is absolutely delicious! Main things the nose will pick up on are the coffee, chocolate, spices and a sort of "cotton candy" sweetness. Whatever "woods" are in here give of a thick sweet creamy slightly resinous oudish vibe (arab people picked up in it). It leaves a strong trail, permeates far and forms a strong airy "aura" around the wearer. These closer someone gets, the more they smell. Projection is strong at least two arms lengths for at least 7 hours. The original Black Phantom i'd day is richer/thicker leaning a tad bit more into that mocha coffee oriented vibe whereas this dupe is smoother/balanced with the aspects. OG is more of a statement whereas this is more refined, both being unique/standout/classy frags. Not just my opinion, feedback at work and with friends. More people lean to Dark Knight overall. Performance: 8/10 Scent: 8.5/10

I find it fascinating when revisiting a scent how we may change our view. I had in the past viewed this as Gourmand, but did not find it particularly sweet, as the category usually suggests. Wearing this today for the first time in roughly a year, and this is VERY masculine and dark. Boozy with a touch of unrefined sugar cane sweetness. This is an attention grabber, and mysterious, still a unique offering in my collection because it avoids the heavy sweet notes giving a rather undefined “what is that” profile. Projection is respectable, and longevity is very good for me. I think the best feature of this is your scent trail, it captures people’s attention. It might not be a like for everyone exposed to it, but similar to MM Jazz Club, it is certainly going to be interesting. This is a love still, it’s what makes this hobby so fun for me.

Didn't think I would like this better than Black Phantom but here we are. Less coffee in the opening and slightly benzoic immediately on spraying but hardly noticeable after a few minutes. After ten minutes or so the complexity of the rum really comes to the fore while the chocolate slowly backs out. The rum, caramel/sugar and almond are strong in the middle and the sandalwood lingers as a basenote. While I miss the stronger coffee note in BP, I consider an acceptable loss given the balance of BK. An affordable niche-quality scent.

This little bottle really packs a punch. I waited for the summer to be over and swedish cooler weather to start, since I feel this scent more of a cooler weather perfume. It’s sweet, caramely, boozy, smokey, a very warming fragrance. And it really lasts. It is an unfortunate thing, from all of the perfumes I have, this on is the most long lasting. Wearing this, I feel like sitting in a warm wooden cabin, in an old leather armchair, with fire crackling in the fire place, aromas of caramel and rum reaching me from the kitchen.

smell: this is very complex yet it feels so simple fragrance. i mean it is very well blended notes, in the air it feels like simple lactonic gourmand, but as your nose come closer man you’ll find it a lot of happening here (this is niche quality). rating: 9 of 10. projection: 6ft+ (very easy to fill the room), please be aware and carefully numbered your sprays because it’s so strong. and potent. longevity: easy 10 hrs+ occasion: any occasion (formal and casual, indoor and outdoor). not suitable for: none (very versatile).

Well let me tell you something – upon first spray there was something that was really bad smelling, and I told myself "omg what is that?", but after 1 minute it disappeared, and left a sexy beautiful chocolate scent. This is really great fragrance, got me a compliment at work already (from a girl). Never smelled the OG but let me tell you this is something VERY unique, and gorgeous. Great for winter, and even summer night. I think it's unisex but leans masculine. This is a 8.5/10 for sure.

Throwing in my $0.02 because I don't understand where the negative reviews are coming from. Maybe it doesn't work on their skin chemistry but on my skin it smells wonderful. Hitting all the notes listed...caramel, dark chocolate, almond...just a blast of all those yummy sweet stuff that I am not allowed to have in edibles anymore. If you like those notes you will smile with this. Update: 2 hours later the gourmet notes calm down just a bit, now I can start to smell the boozy rum note.

I've let mine macerate for over six months and there's a difference. It opens with a lot of rum. This is overwhelming for a while until it transitions into the chocolate, caramel and very light coffee scent that we are more familiar with in Black Phantom. It's sillage rapidly drops off after the rum fades but the longevity is off the charts. Like 24 hours. It's fine without maceration but a real gem if you can wait.

I tried By Kilian Black Phantom and Dark Knight side by side (left hand and right hand). Dark Knight is a perfect imitation of Black Phantom. Longevity and silage are great. Highly highly recommend purchasing this fragrance if purchase price is unreasonable for Black Phantom. Alexandria Fragrances hit a home run (out the park)!

Spot on to Black Phantom. I owned a sample of BP, and really enjoyed it. Took a chance on my first Alexandria and I’m glad I did. For 1/4 of the cost, I got literally the same thing as the Kilian but with slightly better performance. It’s a no brainer, so if you like Black Phantom, you WONT be disappointed in this

The caramel and chocolate is not overly sweet but deep with the heliotrope, coffee, and almond notes supporting. Projection is moderate at first but it wears down to a skin scent in about 5-6 hours. Longevity on skin is quite good at 8-10 hours. This is a wonderfully balanced gourmand scent.

Hands down one of the best inspirations I've ever smelled. I can't tell the difference between Dark Knight and Black Phantom. Spicy, dark and sexy! Sillage is incredible and the longevity is beastly. If you're looking to save a few bucks I highly recommend this fragrance. Awesome work Hany!

A fantastic version of Black Phantom. No need to buy the original. Gorgeous gourmand with the largest difference to the original being slightly less booziness in the opening. I suppose its more of an autumn/winter scent but apart from the high heat, I wear it year round.

After owning for several weeks and testing this with a sample I got from Saks (Black Phantom) I have to say they’re 95% identical. Same smell and vibe throughout. I believe this one performs slightly better. Save your money and buy this. Rating: 9/10 Compliments: 7.5/10

WOW! I think it's better than KBP in every way. BIG version of AF Wasted Moment. It's nice to have them both. If you want just a touch of fragrance, wear AFWM, if you want to make a fragrance "statement" wear AF Dark Knight ( or better said, it wears you)

Almost exactly Black Phantom, but a slightly different opening, more affordable, better longevity, and better sillage. In love with this fragrance!!

I get all the "candy" references,yet absent them, wearing this is like wearing a high quality new, men's leather coat.

Compared directly, almost identical to Black Phantom (which I love), great smell, very long lasting, great value !

I figured that Dark Knight would be a Holy Grail fragrance for me; after all, I adore every single note listed. Cacao? Divine!! Heliotrope and almond?? My absolute favorite notes!! Coffee?? Love it!! I was going to buy Black Phantom blind, but decided this would serve as a more affordable test run of a BP-esque fragrance... Well, I've been wearing Dark Knight for several hours now and have smelled almost none of the listed notes, save a bit of rum and maybe a tiny smidge of coffee. Since I've never smelled BP, I can't comment on any similarities or lack thereof but I CAN tell you that Dark Knight is nearly identical to another By Kilian fragrance I used to have-Light My Fire!! I bought LMF a couple years ago when I was first getting into fragrances in a more serious way (ie, becoming obsessed). Upon first smelling LMF, I knew I'd made an expensive mistake in buying it without testing it first (although I live in podunk-Indiana and we don't have anywhere to test high-end frags closer than a couple hours away in Chicago). I believe it's coumarin that I smelled in LMF and that I'm smelling now in Dark Knight, but I'm not 100% positive on that... Anyway, this reads extremely masculine on my skin and is not at all sweet on me. If you like Light My Fire, try Dark Knight! If you're looking for a rich, gourmand bomb like I was, approach with caution! Edit: The longevity of Dark Knight is notably amazing; I've been smelling it all week on my coat, despite only spraying my skin and clothes a week or so ago. I'm liking this more after wearing it a couple times, which has taught me the valuable lesson of giving perfumes a few wears before judging them!

I came across a lot of reviews about how this one is excellently close to Kilian Black Phantom and I have testers of both. Their opening notes are indeed identical in general but there are some specific differences. Black Phantom starts with strong dark chocolate, some caramel and a little bit of rum. The chocolate stays on and dominates over other notes until the coffee notes appear gently and naturally. I can only describe it as gourmand-sweet-delicious, it's like you sitting at the table drinking and have some coffee-chocolate candies. Dark Knight also starts with chocolate and some booziness of the rum but there is some nutty accord between them. 5-10 minutes later, it is the blend between caramel chocolate, almond and wood. I guess it is the almond that make some people think about peanut butter in Dark Knight. Unlike Black Phantom, Dark Knight's notes settle down more slowly and not as sweet as Black Phantom. I still prefer Black Phantom because the dark chocolate and coffee notes presents more clearly, but Dark Knight does a good job at cloning this DNA. Top notes are quite distinct from Black Phantom but the dry down is about 90% similar. 8/10

So far, this is my favorite scent of ALL TIME. I had the pleasure of comparing this to black phantom side by side, and I gotta say the rum note screams in dark knight. In the best way. Not sure how people can say they don’t smell alike, when testing every single note is there, except boosted rum. And the rum is there throughout the life of the scent, making this better than black phantom, more punchy, and just perfect upgrade. And for about 1/4 the price when you compare ml for ml. The bad reviews are prob ppl that are black phantom faithful. I wouldn’t say this is youthful, but not for old men/women either. Sandalwood base is gorgeous, and the rum coffee cacao opening is just nice, I get some bitter almond too, beautifully blended by Hany. Like I said, favorite scent of all time and am considering a second and third bottle, which I never double up on bottles but the value here compared to BP is just undeniable. Test first, thank me later. If you like BP, it’s a no brainer and you will be 100% satisfied with your blind buy.

This is a very smooth and well balanced gourmand. Caramel is a note that usually leans super feminine on my skin but the roasted coffee,dark chocolate and slight booziness give this a masculine vibe. This is my 1st time sampling this but I have a bottle of DUA Black Widow which is a clone of the Kilian as well. BTW, I have never smelled the Kilian and really don't have any intention to. This actually projects for 4-5 hours before it tames down. Even then the scent is noticeable to others. It's been 7 hours since I have had it on. I did gp heavy with 5 sprays but it's a cold Winter like day in Chicago so why not. I admit that I'm a fanboy as I have tried many and have a bunch of decants to try as well. I confess that there are 2 that I'm not fond of which are Omerta and King Tut.

I have purchased several bottles from Alexandria, and they have all been consistently good. While I haven't tried Black Phantom yet, this fragrance is absolutely delightful. The predominant scent I get is chocolate with powdered sugar and a hint of caramel. Although rum is listed as one of the fragrance notes, I don't detect much of it. I think if it were more prominent, it would elevate this fragrance to the next level. If you enjoy the Angel's Share DNA fragrance, you will likely enjoy this one as well. However, if I had to choose between the two, I personally prefer Angel's Share DNA. Nonetheless, this fragrance is still a perfect 10 out of 10, and it's making me consider purchasing the original $200 bottle.

About a year ago I received a sample of this fragrance, didn't really like it. Found it in storage and tried it out recently, and I don't know if my senses changed or if letting it sit has had any effect, but this now smells quite gorgeous and sweet, but in a mysterious and mature fashion. Definitely for cold weather, maybe even a night time scent. Can be kinda polarizing and I definitely wouldn't wear this is a school/work environment, best used for going out or intimate types of interactions. Not worth it for the price however, Alexandria is overpriced for oils that they mainly outsource. I'm going to wait for a sale to pick up a full sized bottle. 8/10

Well done clone. If you like the original and would like something like it for less then this is it. I'm commenting just to show my confusion regarding the gender votes in here. Let's be frank. It is a gourmand unisex. However, as a man I can't imagine myself walking around smelling sweet chocolate syrup, caramel, almond, coffee and rum unless I was requested to do so. Please mind that this is just my personal, subjective opinion. I like to wear masculine fragrances. Bottom line. Ladies don't be discouraged by the gender voting. This is a fantastic fragrance for women. Date night appropriate, sexy and mysterious. Absolutely adore this on my wife.

Superb dry down...very good inspiration of OG. Goes on a bit synthetic and sweet. All the notes are bold and it seems to be trying to figure out what it wants to be. For me, the opening is not at nice as the OG. Waiting a bit, the dry down is exquisite...the caramel, almond, heliotrope and rum all come together a create a smooth, well-blended sillage of yummy sexiness. Projection and longevity are above average. Good for fall...great for winter. Easily unisex. This is definitely one that needs to macerate to let it reach its full potential. Please do yourself a favor and get a sample, which will probably lead to full bottle.

I have not smelled Black Phantom, but due to its' descriptions, name and hype, I expected a more caramel-centered, sweet, coffee and intoxicating BANG of a fragrance...yet I got nutty cocoa puffs/chocolate... Not horrible,but not what I was expecting either. *UPDATE: Just smelled Black Phantom from By Kilian and for those of you who are wondering, this smells like an EXACT REPLICA of it! Except Dark Knight is louder and longer lasting. So if you're looking for a dupe, this one is the one to go for! **UPDATE: I grew to like it a little bit more with every application, so for now, I'll be keeping my bottle. Overall rating 7/10

this is similar to black phantom of course and everybody agrees. I sampled black phantom only once and i was reminded how it smelled when i tried dark knight, that heavy boozy chocolate,coffee,rum. this is a thick, sweet, and rugged frag that last a long time. i give it a thumbs up because it is well crafted and it seems that those notes are literally in the bottle but its too everything for me. too sweet,thick,chocolatey for my taste. im 1 of the very few to pass on this and black phantom but the hype is real cause it is an amazing frag..Btw my wife doesnt care for it either.

I liked this in the beginning. I thought if this is what Black Phantom is supposed to smell like, then good job Haney. Then the dry down came and oh lord no no no. I guess it’s my skin chemistry but the patchouli comes off me like bad body odour. Had to pass the bottle on to my brother. Fast forward a couple months and I get a decant of Black Phantom and wow, what a difference the real stuff makes. Alexandria has some good dupes, clones, inspirations, whatever but Dark Knight needs some improvement.

It is not as sweet as the more unisex Black Phantom, which gives it a more masculine edge. They are, however, both very strong smelling and long lasting fragrances which personally I prefer enormously to weak and short lived fragrances. After all, you can always spray less! When judged on its own merits, it is a very good fragrance, with a dark and sexy vibe suited to nocturnal activities. Not an exact copy of BP but clearly inspired by it.

When I got this fragrance I was expecting the rum was going to play more of a supporting role in the note breakdown. Boy was I wrong. The rum note is easily the most prominent note, and it KICKS. This smells like a chocolate-rum cocktail with a hearty caramel rim, and the bartender hooked you up with an extra shot of rum. The coffee is very much in the background in this one. The value and performance you get from this is insane, though.

Now this is a legit dupe! Even has the peanut butter opening that I'm not a fan of... Good job Alexandria! I will say I wish it were a bit more boozey as Black Phantom is, but it's less sweet and I'm so grateful for that. Definitely worth checking out! This is my first time trying a Alexandria Fragrances and I'm very impressed!

A very nice Almondy Chocolate juice with a hint of coffee and rum. Overall a very nice fragrance with ok longevity and projection. Not sure of the quality of there ingredients but I do like most of the scents that I have purchased from the house.

it is a beautiful fragrance but way too masculine for me. i am selling my brand new 100ml bottle that i sprayed literally one time, on Mercari for 80 dollars. (originally 110) Let me know if you want it !

This smells oddly similar to Casamorati Italica by Xerjoff, perhaps shared same DNA with Italian Caramel because the opening scents make me feel that way.

Some aromachemical in this fragrance is nauseating. Scent is decent but too soft and 6 hours tops. You can pass on this one for sure.

smell really gook but sillage is much more stronger than black phantom so it easily be overwhelming

This is one of their most hyped fragrances but for me personally it's not my scent profile. It's just an odd scent to me and IMO there are like 20 other alexandria fragrances that are better. Has average to above average longevity, ok silage, good quality but just not my thing.

Smells nice lasts long. I get more rum from it than anything else. It’s a rummy gourmand smell. Pretty decent. Order of how I can smell it Rum, caramel, chocolate, coffee.
