Hanymede

Natural smelling fresh ozonic, woody, spicy leather that’s clean and slightly soapy. The florals and fruit are so well blended that they are barely detectable individually. It’s a light and airy signature scent that’s versatile for any occasion or season yet it has backbone with 24+ hours longevity. Note that this is an Extrait quality which exceeds Ganymede. Bottle worthy!

Damn close to Ganymede! For the first few days I had it the mandarin note was much more pronounced, but it settled into the background quickly. It's a little more spicy-sharp than metal-sharp than Ganymede, too. The biggest disappointment is the longevity (totally gone on me after ~5 hours), but you get what you pay for, and it's shockingly close for the price.

Amazing clone. Opening is a bit more peppery than the original but after 10 minutes is 95% the same.

To the folks who recommended Alexandria Hanymede when I couldn't afford MAB Ganymede, THANK YOU! The open is a little astringent to my nose, but after 10 minutes it's good, and after 20 minutes, IT'S GORGEOUS! And the gorgeous lasts for 4 hours or longer at an intimate level! !

I just received my two 10ml testers of Alexandria HANYMEDE EDP and HANYMEDE EXTRAIT. And what strange fragrances they are, bearing no similarity to the real Marc Antoine Barrois GANYMEDE fragrances at all. Whoever formulated these two numbers... after sniffing the originals... apparently knows very little about perfumery at all. This "Extrait" smells like a Yankee Candle in a sort of faux "creme brulée" scent. And the EDP here smells astringent, like some sort of facial rinse. I am not disappointed or disgusted... so much as absolutely mystified. How HANYMEDE could somehow pose as a clone or dupe-- or even an "inspired by"-- of GANYMEDE... is totally beyond me. Even if I were stuck on a desert island I wouldn't apply these two numbers to myself. But by the way: If you are seeking a good, very acceptable clone of GANYMEDE EDP, the one you want, hands down, is Alhambra's MINÉRALE which is uncannily similar to the real jus. It's even much better than the much-touted Emir CELESTIAL.
