Nostalgia

I bought a second bottle of nostalgia and sadly have come across the same issue I had with Interplay Extrait, compared to the first bottle which is great this second bottle smells terrible. I reached out to AF and told them about this ongoing issue, now for them to fix the problem and exchange the fragrance they want ME to pay the shipping costs? As I did with Interplay extrait, I will be sending them the new bottle along with a small sample of the original. This is getting out of hand, I bought Paris nights, forbidden plum (both smell great), and nostalgia (horrible) at the same time. There is no consistency and if they somehow mess up the fragrance even if you provide evidence of how their fragrances have variances and horrible harsh ones at that, you have to foot an extra bill for their mistakes. I will no longer be purchasing from this company.

This perfume has a pretty good similarity to MFK Oud Satin Mood. It has the opening impression of Oud that kinda feel so Bozzy, but a little overwhelming from the oud. Somehow there is some oud blend that can feel so boozy. This may be because the oud itself has a Complex aroma. It also has the scent of roses that envelops and makes this perfume so luxurious and certainly very beast, but it didn't stop there. The role of vanilla gives a sweet effect on this perfume, so it has enough temptation to get all attention in the room. Lol. For the occasion itself, I think more is in place for formal events, for the dating scenario could be too much. Maybe a spray would be enough for an intimate moment. Time: Evening to Nighttime. Season: Cold, Spring, Fall. Don't you dare spray it in summer in the middle of the day!

2 different roses used but the scent does not smell feminine at all to me. More candyish than anything and completely unisex. I'm a big benzoin fan and it is a very key note in this composition that uses a minimum of notes to obtain many different accords. Light smokiness with an amber accord is the best way to describe the dry down which is 10x better than the opening. I have not tried the original in years but if you are looking for something different than the typical rose/oud combo this is a good place to start. Get samples from smellsandsuds from Facebook.

I find the most impressive fragrances are the ones that are simple in composition but blended and balanced beautifully. Nostalgia is just that. Soft sweet rose, mild vanilla and benzoin, light oud, and just a tinge of violet is what I detect. Yes, it's not as refined as OSM but the scent is very similar and the performance is better (10-11hrs). The scent remains linear thoughout its life. Also, it's a very versatile fragrance that could be worn year around in just about any occasion.

This is a very nice representation of Oud Satin Mood by MFK. Starts with rose and some oud to my nose. The combination of rose's in this juice are exceptional if slightly feminine to my nose. I would say this is overall a unisex scent once you are 2 hours in or so. You still get rose with sweetness from the vanilla and amber in the dry down. I really like it and it is a great alternative to OSM. Enjoy!

The first time I tried a sample I was hooked. I'm generally not an oud or rose lover, but this smelled so good and created a nice scent cloud that I smelled throughout the day. It lasted a good 9-10 hours on my skin, with a couple sprays on my clothes. Will be getting the full bottle once Winter starts to roll around.

I received a sample with my order and I love Nostalgia. I haven’t ever smelled the original, so I can not compare, but Nostalgia as a stand-alone fragrance is wonderful! Rich rose, Oud (not animaliac to my nose) and some spices. Strong projection and lasts for more than seven hours on my skin.

This is a candied rose, vanilla, and violet with a backbone of oud. If you like sweet fragrances this one is worth checking out.

Nostalgia opens with a blast of rose and sweet vanilla. As it dries down I smell rose incense. Just like OSM I don't smell oud, rather I smell a clean woody incense. Nostalgia is very close to the OSM as I am wearing the last of my OSM sample and my blind bought Nostalgia. It's definitely inspired by and smells like they're related fragrances but they do have differences. To my nose Nostalgia is sweeter, oilier smelling and has more incense than OSM. All things I don't mind in my fragrances. However, OSM also smells more natural than Nostalgia. - This fragrance is enough like Oud Satin Mood (OSM) for me to get my fix from it instead of the original. This is less than half the price of the real MFK which is too expensive for a poor Uni student like me. I'll buy OSM when I'm working and much richer. lol -

Opens up boozy floral. Dry down is heave rose with resins and a little oud in the background. I'm not a fan, too feminine and the rose is too dominant.

Why does it smells like synthetic lychee to me? like the one you get in fruit juice. Smells good but not my preferred scent profile.

Im not much on writing reviews....all I have to say is I applied Nostalgia at roughly 9:30 AM. I then proceeded to work a double and got off work at 11pm....I got 1 unsolicited compliment and the same co worker at the end of the shift said wow I can still smell you. Proof is in the pudding....normally my skin drinks any fragrance and I end up applying through out the day....not with this one. This is almost a dead ringer for MFK Satin Oud. Buy it!

having both the MFK Oud Satin Mood! and this side by side really you can tell the difference this is not bad it just not there i would say it around 65~70% of the mfk , and MFK is far far superior in quality and the smell , the opening is different and the dry down of NOSTALGIA is where it mess out big time , as for the money its not bad but i would not buy this if you want something very close to MFK.

Haven't smelled the original so I can't comment on how close this gets, but as a stand alone, I get a rose and amber scent. It's a bit feminine to my nose, and I'm not a fan personally of this rose note even though I do enjoy rose fragrances. So for obvious reasons this isn't my type of scent profile. It's in the realm of richwood, another fragrance that I don't like.

So I bought this because my bottle of OSM is almost empty and I didn’t want to spend the hefty price again for another bottle. With all honesty, side by side there’s no difference. I’m very picky with clones, but to my nose they smell identical. It’s honestly mind blowing. This one is a powerhouse with projection so be careful with the trigger lol

This is a very close dupe of oud satin mood by MFK .To me it smells 80% like oud satin mood but something is missing that does add up to the original , perhaps its the different types of woods used. Over all is a pretty lovely fragrance for a cheap price but definately nit a replacement for oud satin mood.

Fairly typical Eastern Rose Oud attar type but really well done. I don’t like it for me but at the same time, after scrubbing it off, it’s a perfect oudy rose attar, ala Solstice Fair. Well done! I had tried it a few years back and got a plastic note, but that wasn't apparent in my current sample.

I have the original MFK Satin Mood and Nostalgia. I can't believe how well Nostalgia smells. It's about a 95% match. The projection is incredible longevity is superb and the price is awesome. Save your money and give this a try you well be very satisfied.

Real oud, burning plastic and rubbing alcohol with lovely vanilla amber undertones. Eastern style florals enter and make it smell like a fairly run of the mill attar plus plastic and scream. Not impressed.
