Paris Night

Absolutely divine! The description “A lush blanket of warm amber settles around you” is spot on. Opens up with a sweet amber/benzoin vibe. Almost sheer the way it settles on your skin giving yourself a romantic comforting aura. The dry down brings tonka in to compliment the amber/benzoin and add depth. I’m am amazed how close this is to MFKs version. Both have that scent bubble that surrounds you with glimpses of its sweet powdery vibe that begs some to get closer. Longevity is great...projection is average. This is an easy recommend from me, but please get a sample to live with for a few days to get your own opinion.

If you're trying to compare it to the original (MFK Grand Soir) then you'll notice how rough around the edges Paris Night is in the opening. Give it 30 minutes and the rough edges disappear and what remains is an extremely similar fragrance to the original. I don't like giving percentages, but damn close to perfect. GS is still, and will always be, a higher quality fragrance, but if you don't mind giving up a smidge of quality, what you'll get in return is slightly better performance and a dramatically less expensive fragrance. I'm quite happy with it.

Very nice fragrance overall, the tonka bean and ambers are what really come through for me with just a hint of vanilla in there as well. It comes off as a fresh, clean and syrupy fragrance with a slightly medicinal opening but within 5 minutes it dries down nice and sweet with a sugary finish that is very beautiful to be around. A great fragrance for the fall and winter both all day and all night.

I would say it's about 90% close to GS. I have a sample of each, and tried them on both arms. GS has more orange and is a tad bit richer so that's where the 10% comes off, but both have around the same longevity with GS projecting slightly more but not by much. If you like GS and don't want to pay the premium I would say this is a good alternative. Overall I give it a 8/10.

love MFK Grando Soir?cant afford it...get this one....as simple as that.fresher lil lighter take on Grand soir, so sexy and beast mode longevity.you can wear this all year rounds, after sun goes down, 10 for everything, 10 for brther Hany Hafez...what a great man

I'd say that this is worth trying out, though it's more Tonka Bean & vanilla centric than Grand Soir - which has amber & orange than this. Paris Night is a nice scent though.

This is very similar to Grand soir. A little softer maybe, almost a bit soapy. It's like a grand soir summer flanker. Edit: there is a hint of musc ravageur in here somewhere

At first spray this really scared me! The alcohol is overwhelming and it screams a cheap mens cologne. Grand soir has none of that! And as a woman although I like unisex interesting scents I can’t handle something so cheap and obviously masculine. But you know what? After about 20-30 mins, the cheap cologne went away, the ambery vanilla sweetness began to emerge and I started to see the similarities with Grand Soir and appreciate this fragrance. Grand Soir is a masterpiece for a reason, I think it’s perfect beginning to end. This is an interpretation in every sense of the word and not a bad one at that. If you’re expecting an identical clone then you won’t find it, but it’s something that uses the same idea and is ultimately beautiful and satisfying to wear (it just has to be given some time). I don’t regret my purchase and I do think I’ll continue to wear this given the great price point, and ultimately it is a beautiful scent. Not a bad alternative to Grand Soir. EDIT: This has become really cloying for me. I think that initial blast of cheap men's cologne never quite goes away as much as I thought it did. I can't really stand this anymore, it's too much. I will say though if you do like the scent you will appreciate that this fragrance is a BEAST and will last for hours. It just might not be my cup of tea.

Reading the reviews, I wasn't sure whether or not I would enjoy this fragrance. But after taking a risk (albeit, MUCH less risky than blind-buying MFK Grand Soir) and purchasing it, I can say I am pleasantly surprised. Definitely not blind buy safe in my opinion. It opens with alot of dry amber and dusty vanilla with a hint of sweetness. After about 30min, the dustiness intensifies but luckily, the sweetness does as well. Performance is crazy powerful to top it of. Disclaimer: have never tried MFK Grand Soir but this is a really well crafted scent to my nose. Maybe get a sample before you buy a full bottle however.

Grand Soir does indeed smell higher quality and more regal, but my 2021 batch of Paris Night is nuclear and has such a potent amber vanilla it’s almost citrusy and salty on the opening. Smells like the color amber.

I finally had the opportunity to smell Grand Soir. A friendly fragrantica user said if I liked Givenchy's Pi that I'd love Grand Soir. She was absolutely right! I honestly said, "Holy S@#$" right there at the fragrance counter. Up until that point, I said there's no way I'd ever pay that for a fragrance. Yet there I was, ready to put my foot in my mouth and tell the sales lady to just take my money. My girlfriend agreed and said I'd better be ready to share but reminded me that we're in a pandemic and things are kind of shaky right now with the economy. Ok, ok, fine, I've had really good experiences with Alexandria fragrances so I agreed to spend @$35 on this instead of $250. But, oh, that smell kept wafting up from my wrists all day and only smelled better when I got to take off my mask. This is good! I do enjoy it but make no mistake, this is not Grand Soir. Keeping in mind I said it's good, this just seems dull and lifeless compared to Grand Soir. Grand Soir is decadently rich, powerful, and has that ethereal (and rare) "it" factor that this just doesn't have. It's different, honestly, from Grand Soir. Whereas Grand Soir is most definitely heavenly vanilla, amber, and benzoin, this has a somewhat waxy, honey effect to it. Others have mentioned this as well so it's not just my crazy skin or untrained sniffer. I also get a fairly noticeable wood note with this. A bit more than I'd like. While enjoyable, it simply doesn't compare. I was letdown as I really wanted Grand Soir. However, I finally got over that and let myself smell it for what it is. It's an enjoyable, kind of dusty (IMO), honey amber. On me, that amber is the main note. Good? Yes, and when I run out I'll order another bottle because my girlfriend thinks it's more of a clone match than me and it's disappearing quickly. So it's not Grand Soir but it's still pretty good.

Ordered a Travel Sprayer sample of this today, in hopes that it's a creamy VanillAmber like what Hany made "Hafez Gold" from. Hoping it doesn't have that medicinal sourness like "Moonstruck" did...previous reviews seem hopeful. This could be the "VanillAmber" I've been searching for... Will update review once it arrives... 20DEC22 UPDATE: Nope...this isn't it. On skin...this smells mildly honeyishcitrusy in the opening. Then in the mids it's a citrusy-amber. Drydown is citrusy vanillic benzoin scent. I've got better fragrances that do the "creamsicle" vibe and with actual VANILLA. This is like a wannabe "creamsicle" that someone cheaped out with and made with Amber instead of actual Vanilla. No thank you. Welp...again, It confirms that I'm NOT an amber guy....strictly Vanilla. This fragrance doesn't smell bad to me, it's just not my jam cause it's more amber than vanilla. But...now I know. I've got "Lattafa - Eternal Oud" on the way, I'll gift this travel sprayer to someone this holiday season and I'll just pick up another 60ml of "Hafez Gold" instead.

To my nose Paris Night smells quite similar to MFK Grand Soir. Opens up vanilly ambry, dries down to this disctinct Benzoin Ambery smell like Grand soir, I call it "Sandy Ambry", it has a little sand smell to it. If you like Grand Soir this is an absolute must try.

I get some sort of floral bitter note from this. Almost like tuberose. Not what I expected.

Sadly I can’t smell all the great things people rave about... to me this starts like a honey that’s extremely dark and oozing out of a waxy honeycomb but there absolutely no sweetness. I get lots of waxiness. A few minutes later it’s just salty and greasy smelling, I cannot for the love of all that smells good, think of anything besides grease that’s been used to fry food a few too many times, where the oil is almost a dark amber color... Sticking my nose to my skin I get some medicinal undertone, like a balsam used to alleviate muscle pain or something. Or rubber. Whatever, on my skin it just doesn’t smell like something I would wear as a fragrance. On a tester strip I get a totally different smell... I still don’t like it but at least smells somewhat like a perfume.

Supposedly a clone of MFKs Grand Soir but this doesn't come close. Grand Soir is a light, almost sheer, slightly sweet, slightly vanillic, smooth amber heavy fragrance. This has some undertones of that, but its dominated by a strong astringent, medicinal type scent. I will give this more wearings, but as of now, my first impression is that this is no where near the original. Would not recommened buying this at all.

I have this on one wrist and MFK Grand Soir on the other. Paris Night is two sprays from about 8 inches away, Grand Soir applied with a dabber from a decant. Paris Night is very similar. Grand Soir has a deeper, scratchier smell that I get all the way down to the top of my throat. Paris Night is lighter. The difference is hard to describe but I'd say Grand Soir smells harsher in a good way, my best guess is that Grand Soir has more labdanum. Both have good projection and smell identical to me at a distance of a few feet.

From first spray it smells masculine.. never tried the original. Edit: ok so I have a decant if the original from lucky scent. I think they are very similar. The opening of GS is stronger but they both smell the same. I think if I left the PN to sit for a few weeks it would get more strong because my others from them have.

I badly wanted this to be a good clone of MFK Grand Soir. Unfortunately it missed the mark. I think it almost got it right but this had an added Sticky smelling honey note that I did not care for at all. Guess I'll have to spring for the real deal because I absolutely love the original.
