Wasted Moment

Wasted Moment is a delicious masterpiece that will blow you away if you enjoy sweet, boozy scents. It opens with a warm, sweet, fruity accord consisting mostly apple and spices. The apple note is very prominent, and it’s rich, tart and slightly tangy. It’s also extremely boozy, which creates this hard cider effect and really reminds me of angry orchard. For the spices I get mostly cinnamon and nutmeg, this adds another dimension that gives the fragrance a warm and festive vibe. It’s interesting how none of these notes are listed, even though they are by far the most prominent to me, and the ones that are listed - woods and vanilla are more of a supporting backbone. As this fragrance develops with time, the apple slowly fades, but the scent is mostly very linear. This scent is extremely easy to wear and despite having more than a hundred different choices, I often find myself reaching for this one when I'm not sure what to rock and just want something cozy. I think that says a lot about how good this scent is especially at this affordable price point. Comparing this side by side with Apple Brandy by Kilian I have to say this doesn't really smell like the original. There's maybe a 60% similarity if I'm being generous. Sure they both have apple, spices, woods and spicy notes, but they are two very approaches to the same idea. Wasted Moment is no where near as spicy, rich and sophisticated as Apple Brandy and definitely has a more prominent sweet apple note and goes for a casual vibe instead. With that being said, this is an amazing scent and I think Alexandria should have released it as an original instead and out of the ones I've tried, this would be among the top of the pack without a doubt. Performance is decent, could be better but you can't really ask for much more at this price point. This is BY FAR my favorite fragrance Alexandria has produced. I call it heaven in a bottle. Wasted Moment is surely NOT a waste of money. One of my all time fragrances is Apple Brandy by Kilian and I do have to say this is spot on 100% the same as Apple Brandy but Wasted Moment has better longevity. Wasted Moment has a beautiful, rich and boozy apple note with a perfect dose of vanilla and woods in the background. Longevity is stellar with this fragrance. I get about 10+ hours consistently every time I wear it. Silage is great also radiating about 6 ft for about 5-6 hrs everytime. Compliments galore when I wear Wasted Moment, 3-4 everytime I wear it. This is your best yet Hany. I'm totally addicted to this beautiful fragrance. Beautiful juice Hany, keep them coming my friend!!!

100% agree with Hotshot 35 with a minor variation. This does strongly remind me of Boss Bottled Oud. I have not smelled Boss Bottled EDP but can attest to Hotshot 35's comment about the green apple scent being exact. To be quite honest, Boss Bottled Oud didn't have oud so I'll take it as the same as the EDP version. The big takeaway for me is Wasted Moments is way better and formulated - IMO - than Boss Bottled Oud, which, I gave to my youngest son. Wasted Moments is far superior and not meant to clone Boss. Cannot speak to the closeness it resembles to its inspiration, however, I will keep this one for sure! Really love this one!

How is apple and brandy not listed in the ingredients here? I'm genuinely curious how they'd get such a strikingly real apple scent without any apple. What i get from this fragrance is sweet, over-ripened green apple with some woody brandy. A beautiful scent, and in my mind it's unisex with a very slight female leaning since the apple is just so deliciously sweet and prominent. Damn near identical to Kilian Apple Brandy, at least it's so close the distinction is difficult to make. This is a reliable dupe, as is Pomme Trempee by Dua. Cheaper and more accessible with reasonable performance.

This is an unreal scent. First and foremost, great interpretation of Apple Brandy By KIlian. When this opens up I get a very woody apple on my skin. I do not get any type of "dessert" feeling, however I realize everyones chemistry and nose is different :) The dry-down blew my mind. When this fragrance dries down, this incense rises to the very top and you now have an extremely refined smelling, woody, boozy, incense fragrance with wafts of apple. Absolutely breathtaking. Yet another Alexandria Fragrance that hits the nail on the head. It may not be as smooth and perfectly blended as the original but it is in the same league. Very boozy with a caramel/apple candy vibe. Nothing but compliments with this fragrance. Truly smells like an alcohol infused dessert. The longevity is poor-moderate on me and the sillage is moderate but I couldn't recommend it enough; just based on the scent. Would be ideal for a date to an upscale restaurant or dinner at home by the fireside. Just such a romantic scent wether you have this or the original.

I have Killian Apple Brandy and Wasted Moment by AF. Bottom line: There is not a 140$ difference. Wasted Moment is so close to the original, unless you are someone who is an expert, you will not be able to detect much difference. Some have commented on a 'sawdust' accord. If what they mean is the smell of cedar, then there is a 'sawdust' accord in the original as well. For me this was a no-brainer buy. Ironically, longevity and projection is better (on my skin) than with the original.

Alexandria frags seem to love my skin chemistry and this is happily no exception. I agree with the first commenter on this thread that not only do I smell the apple brandy and the oak cask it was aged in, I can detect the ice cubes and the glass tumbler it's served up in. I can see that there could be a fine line between those who "get" this frag and others who don't, much like finer wine tasting. I'm generally really fond of boozy accords, so I'm both feet in on this one.

I blind-bought this one when it came back in stock after a long time. I really figured I would quickly be returning it or trying to swap it, but boy was I wrong! This scent is AMAZING! I was just blown away by the boozy, crisp apple that just rolls off your skin when wearing Wasted Moment. I haven’t tried Apple Brandy to compare them but this is absolutely a must own fragrance!

Apple, apple tart or apple pie. So yummy. A wearable vanilla (not too sweet, not too intoxicating), a totally office safe. I do not get the boozy aspect (I hoped for it!). The scent stays very well on my long hair, but dissapears by lunchtime. Honestly, I don't borther to re-apply. Very Close to By Kilian and so Worth its price!

Blind bought this in a sample set. I'm glad I did. I fell in love with it right away. It's boozy, sweet, syrupy. I find it hard to believe the notes listed are the only ones. Definitely get an apple brandy vibe from it. I haven't smelled the Kilian original, so I can't compare, but this is definitely top shelf.

This has a remarkable resemblance to Killian's Apple Brandy and/or Hugo Boss Bottled. WOW is this amazing juice. Apple, Vanilla and a quality Boozy note. Great longevity and projection. I wish I would have purchased the 2 oz bottle instead of one ounce. Top notch all the way. Enjoy!!!

This is amazing..Not overly dark but with a hint of vanilla...Love it, perfect for a dressed down event...or just hanging out with friends,playing pool..It is very versatile in season..If you have Wasted Moments, all your moments will count...

Better than what it's "cloned" for, which is a very nice ftagrance. Suffers from the same complaints as KAB which is projection and longevity. It's a softer version of K Black Panther (AF Dark Knight, which is better than the OG)

Amazing. Imagine a slightly spicy, but mainly juicy apple combined with brandy and some woods. Man... This is one of if not the most boozy scent I've ever smelt. If you don't like booze then do not buy.

Perfection! Imagine a nice cigar or a cloved cigarette dipped in a nice apple flavored brandy. I absolutely LOVE this scent. Great staying power too!

This smells incredible. Boozy apple is such a great combination. I swear I can smell ice cubes in there as well as crazy as that sounds.

At first spray it smells like bad wine on some skins, but like liquor on others. It develops into a nice smell. Try b4 you buy.

I've smelled them both, buy this on sale and save yourself $200 over Kilian. Both are big apple openers, too sweet and heavy on the labdanum but the dry down is grounded by the woods. The sweetness fades and it settles into a semisweet, fresh apple, full woods, round fragrance. This version lasts more than 6 hours longer than the original. Perfectly unisex. I prefer in cooler weather as the labdanum and syrupy apple start can be overwhelming in the heat. UPDATE Decluttered both. I'm just not a fan of labdanum and prefer other woody frags.

On first impression, this is a very nice and pleasant fragrance. It ends up reminding me too much of Boss Bottled EDP, which was nice years ago. Wasted Moment is slighly more complex but that green apple scent is exact to Boss. I am hoping with some more masceration, this will change my mind. Update: after some time on the shelf, the Apple has tamed a little and more well blended woods has shined through making this a much better fragrance now.

I don't know what people are talking about with apples, this here is sawdust. Fresh, beautiful, delicious smelling sawdust.

Motts Apple Juice with a feint hint of vanilla.

This scent is one of the best cooler weather scents. I'm in New York and we have some of the prettiest autumnal seasons with Central Park being littered in orange, brown and red leaves. Update New York having apple orchards and Brooklyn having the Botanical Gardens;it's so New York. I love this scent. When I smell this I get Macintosh apple, caramalized sugar, darkness and some spice possibly cinnamon. Of course performance is impressive as with all of these scents. I haven't smelled Apple Brandy from By Kilian but I'm confident in saying that it's a close match. This is an impressive scent that feels perfect in cooler weather.

Even though it is inspired by Kilian's Apple Brandy, there is a lingering cheap smell of sawdust that makes this a no go for me. If you're looking for an inexpensive clone/alternative to Apple Brandy, go with Dua's offering. Much richer.
