The Raver

It’s a bold, spicy-woody fragrance with a slightly smoky base and a touch of leathery depth. I love the peppery tones, and every time I wear it, I feel empowered and special thanks to its distinctive character. I first tried it in a discovery set from Alex Monhart, and it quickly became my favorite — so much that I bought the full size.

A mineralic sweet fragrance. An interesting combination for sure. The mineralness is kind of fizzy, probably it is the abergris. The sweetness is a bit bubblegummy but not in a too juvenile way. It is very airy and light for how sweet it is. It is not cloying even on a warm day. Think of it as an artsy version of Ultra Male if you want a rough idea how it smells. But it's not a clone and it's not too Ultra Male-y, just in a similar ballpark. It doesn't change too much from beginning to drydown. The mineral ambergris is more noticeable in the beginning and fades gradually. The early stages are my favorite part, I like clean and fizzy ambergris that brings some of that sweetness with it. It projects very strongly during the first hour or so. The longevity is nothing to write home about, after 5 hours it is a barely noticeable skin scent. Kind of a downer for how sweet it is but I guess the low longevity is what you pay for it not smelling too heavy. Pretty expensive at 130€ for a 50ml bottle.
