Century

(Review of 135ml Bottle) This fragrance is quite deceptive - one might see the simple scent pyramid and believe it to be a more easygoing clean neroli type scent. But bizarrely, I could only describe this fragrance as "aggressively fresh" and... I really, really love it. It's kind of impossible to describe, but on my skin, this thing PROJECTS like no tomorrow. It opens with all those citrusy fresh notes - I could really pick out the lemon and fresh, sweet juice from the mandarin - which very quickly explodes into neroli. It is quite fierce, which was expected given that neroli tends to overpower a lot of blends in other fragrances it seems, especially for myself. The rest of the notes ALL take a backseat to that accord, offering a more supportive role in the blend here. Earlier on, you get these nice whiffs of a spiced frankincense in the shade of the monolithic neroli, adopting an otherworldly quality to it. Then once that dry down starts to take shape, you are hit with another colossal right hook of an element... that cypriol oil. The neroli and cypriol somehow manage to blend into each other smoothly despite being such colossal titans on my skin; to which they are suddenly joined by a really pleasant, nutty sandalwood. That sandalwood stays for the rest of the scent's longevity alongside that frankincense. What a shockingly punchy fragrance. It's this crystal clear cloud of earthy, white floral glory with a healthy dose of sandalwood to keep it from being so overwhelming. That cypriol oil brings so much clarity somehow, like it just cuts though the air like butter and heads straight to my nose to open it up for all that beautiful neroli goodness. It pulls that cloud back down into a flower bed cemented in loamy earth, ready to embrace some of that fresh dirt. But only a touch of it... just enough. An obvious winner for me - I will say that this doesn't last as long as I wish on me, it does phase out around the six and a half hour mark, but after that point you're left with some more delicate cypriol and sandalwood. The projection on this thing is remarkable on my skin, just absolutely strong as hell for this kind of scent. I see online that this one appears to be discontinued; I got mine secondhand, courtesy of my brother, so I am curious if the scent was able to macerate for a bit before I got my hands on it. If you're interested in this guy, find it now before it blows up in price! A vivid neroli and cypriol bomb with an awesome sandalwood backbone. "Aggressively fresh" was too perfect for describing it.

A crisp, freshly-laundered gray suit. The suit may be plain, but the man wearing it is anything but. Dunhill Century was my first blind-buy! I was looking for a laundry-clean scent, but this one has too many interesting twists and turns to just call this laundry-clean. I like to wear this one to job interviews. The grapefruit and cypriol in the opening are crisp, piercing, and memorable; yet the neroli and sandalwood that come in later on are smooth, agreeable, and ultimately classic. If you're wondering what cypriol smells like, it's this damp, vegetal, and spicy green note that some people describe as "churchy," which I can agree with. The note pyramid says cypriol is in the base, but I smell it from top to bottom. Performance is above average for such a fresh, citrus- and neroli-dominant fragrance. I get about 4-5 hours with an enormous opening that quickly reduces to a soft and agreeable sillage. (EDIT: The musky sandalwood in the drydown sticks to the skin for 7-8 hours!) I tend to call everything unisex, so I really mean it when I say Century is masculine. I recommend this fragrance to 30+ men who want something crisp and clean to wear to work, but aren't a fan of typical men's designer freshies. It smells modern, but it nods generously to vintage stylings—maybe's that's why it's called Century. This scent is hard to dress down, but it's also not elegant enough for evening receptions. A prime example of my maturity in my fragrance journey. I've been a fragrance lover for over a decade now, and as everyone who starts with something, I have to admit that I've been quite naive. When I first got century, I almost immediately dismissed it, it's clean and it's fresh, but it straight up smelled like a laundry detergent, or rather clean laundry fresh out of the washing machine, it's not a horrible smell but I just didn't want to smell like laundry. In fact I dismissed it to the point that I literally spray it on my freshly ironed clothes. Then a couple of days back my wife did not find anything to wear (which is something I have to sort out soon, lol) she smelled like Century, and suddenly it smelled so good on her, so now I am seeing it in a completely new light. Not going through the notes but one thing to note, if you want to smell authentic sandalwood, this is the one to get, and after all ain't nothing wrong with smelling fresh and clean, this might be after all my favorite Neroli fragrance. Over 30 years ago, my father used to work at a shipping company based in Mumbai, India, and every time he came back home he brought a bag full of Sandalwood for my mother, the Sandalwood in Century reminds me of that bag my father used to bring with him, lovely memories, lovely scent..!!

I did blind buy this frag because one of the discounter pushed the price so ridiculously down that I said I got to try this one out (especially when I saw that the other discounters were still selling this 75ml's bottle for 2-3x more expensive) The design of the bottle is brilliant. It is already art to me. Then after when I first sprayed it, it was just an immediate game changer for me. I said: Wow, Dunhill is a serious house which is not trying to follow the trend and make some copies of the bestsellers but they are going on their own way. This scent - until today - I cannot exactly figure out the main accords and the different components as it is very well blended and all works just so good together! I have been using this one for a while on regular bases and always makes me feel relaxed, good and happy when I wear it. Funny thing is that the same discounter made an even better deal, this time with the bigger, 135ml's bottle and started selling it under 20 euro. I was like whaaaat? and I did not think twice to buy another bottle, even though the first one is still - almost - full. Well, I purchased this one to store it as I am afraid this gem is now being discontinued.

I live on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada and I am heading to Australia for a few weeks to see family. Heading from our winter to their summer and I opened my last box of this tonight. Even though it’s chilly and rainy here, I decided to spray it on just to have a smell, since I have not worn this since 2021 summer? I think anyway. I’ve had this for a few years sitting in my walk-in in the dark. Never too warm and never too cold. Let me just say that this right here is the most original and artistic summer freshie ever made. I would never say the best, but it’s definitely a standout. I have 373 fragrances and not one smells like this. Mine has macerated for a few years, which can go badly with freshies, but not with this one. I sprayed two shots and within a minute or so my wife, who was on the other side of the house (5,000 sq ft) in the kitchen making coffee said, “Whatever that is it smells beautiful.” That’s it. I’ll probably come home after a few weeks and it will go back into the darkness for another time. I can see why it was discontinued. It is not a mainstream market item, but it is amazing at what it does. 😉

There is some compound in this that reacts with my skin and gives insane longevity to this fragrance. I shit you not when I say that I consistently get almost a full day of on-skin performance, which is incredible for any fragrance but unreal for a fragrance at this price. As for the scent itself, I don't think this is a blind buy. It took me some time to appreciate it. Its opening is synthetic in an off-putting way, but it mellows considerably after about an hour and you get a wafting floral. (I suppose given the price this was always going to be the case.) There is a dude on YouTube who described this as having a dominant papyrus note, I think that's what people describe as Cypriol. Yeah, I pick that up. Frankly, that's the best expression for what I pick up here: papyrus and florals. Overall it's a pretty unique fragrance. This reminds me of Versace The Dreamer. It has the same airy, floral quality, but more serious. This is a dress up scent where VTD is a dress down one. I totally recommend this, but it's not an easy to love fragrance.

First of all, THANK YOU Dunhill for not making another Bleu fragrance, a flanker, or an ambroxan scent! This house has upped its game recently and this is an example of Dunhill’s reemergence as a quality designer house. The bottle is of good heft and unique design: thick glass with lovely circular indented sides and bottom. I can see how some might think this smells similar to Icon. It has that neroli/cardamom heart that reminds me of Icon in a way. But if this DNA is to be Dunhill’s new calling card, so be it. Icon put this house back on the map, and it has worked very well for them. This “Dunhillade”, then, is wrapped in that bright green cypriol note and citrus, softened and rounded out by musk and sandalwood, creating a nice astringent/warm juxtaposition. The result is an original twist on an established theme more than flanker of Icon: there is certainly enough difference for me, and I actually prefer Century. It has a clean, exotic, luxury soap vibe about it in the drydown that is quite enjoyable. A great modern designer release.

I have 400+ fragrances and not one of them smells anything like Dunhill Century, and that's a good thing. The neroli here is what stands out for me, it is however not the bright citrussy neroli of Tom Ford or other neroli forward fragrances, but a deeper, almost 'savoury' neroli. I have a juvenile lemon tree in my back garden and it's flowering right now. When I put my nose to the flowers, this is the type of neroli scent I get from Century: dusky, warm and intoxicating. This is the type of fragrance you wear and can't stop sniffing your own wrists! It has average performance in warm weather, when I like to wear it most, so I always take a pocket atomiser with me for frequent top ups! Century is a comforting and inviting scent that will ensure you stand out from the crowd. As for sillage, who knows... I've never been in the position of being five feet behind myself, but who cares? As long as you keep this beautiful scent bubble around you, you'll be happy. GO BUY!

I finally got a bottle of this discontinued gem on the second-hand market, some 4 or 5 years after I first used up a 2ml sample! It has kind of haunted me ever since, so it's very satisfying to realise that scent memory now. This is a very likeable, wearable scent, but at the same time it's built around a fairly odd accord. It feels like a bright yellow ray, squeaky clean and sunny. It has aspects of laundry-like freshness, and is underpinned by a sharp, shiny sandalwood. EDIT: I'm wearing this on a crisp autumn day and it's so good. Fresh and Sharp work juicy mandarin in the opening, bit underlined by a warm spicy sandalwood. There's something futuristic about it. It's uplifting, it's presentable, it's inoffensive but it has a uniqueness. I think I am going to start using this as my work fragrance every day. It doesn't seem to be long lasting on me, although I will happily re-apply at lunch time, just to go back to the sparkling, citrussy opening.

CLASS ALL THE WAY! It’s ridiculous how well blended this is for the price you pay! One of my favourite cheapies! Definitely is a love it or hate it fragrance. Not mass appealing, expensive smelling Clean Linen type of fragrance. Extremely unique Great for the Office BREAKDOWN: Opening: Brisk Mandarin + grapefruit under the Base of Neroli (spicy , bitter and fresh ) Mid: Cypriol + Olibanum take centre stage which create a slight rubbery like accord which is similar to Santal 33 Dry down: Smooth Sandalwood and musk (skin scent at this point Shines in the spring and summer. Ideal for climate controlled environments ie office or gym With 4-6 sprays Longevity -7hrs Projection- 2hrs ***For those complaining about performance let the FRAGRANCE macerate and collect some oxygen The performance will improve overtime*** Not for those who stick with basic & mass appealing scents This is a personal MUST KEEP for life fragrance. I blind bought this one as I found it for £20 at TK Maxx UK. It has great reviews in the community so I thought to give it a go. And I could not be happier. It smells so perfect for spring. I very much prefer it over Santal 33 - for me that one has the pickle note extremely strong and I can't stand it. Century on the other hand has nothing of that. I must say that this one is up high there in terms of quality. I am probably lucky as my batch is from 2017 so I feel like it is first release (which is a bit confusing as the year of launch here is 2018). The presentation is impeccable and feels way more expensive then what it is priced. It smells classy and fresh, crisp and clean. Neroli and citrus drying into a beautiful floral woody smell. And it projects very well. I applied the perfume at 13 and now it is 17 and still going strong. I can still smell it around me. I am impressed. Modern classic.

Since I bought it, I can't get enough of it. I love how this fragance comes to your nose by surprise, hours after putting it. I can't make a good review because once the citrus bomb of the first 10 minutes is over, I really can't put the finger of what it smells of. Or I can, but I change my mind every hour. During my life, my main fragances have been Azzaro pour Homme in the 80s, and then CK Eternity (early 90s), L'Eau d'Issey (late 90s), Boss Bottled (early 2000s) and Burberry's Touch (2010s). I must be crazy, because Dunhill's Century reminds me, at one point or another, to all of them. Not at once, but along its evolution in my skin. Maybe it just triggers my "right smell" part of my brain. I am even tempted to buy an extra bottle to store with the wine, to prevent when they reformulate it.

Came across this fragrance in one of those Jeremy German guy fragrance videos. It was a list of fragrances he hated. When he got to century, he stayed how much it turns his stomach then proceeds to spray it more than any other fragrance and takes it in more than the others all while pretending to be disgusted. I knew then and there that century was a winner. And it is!!! Off the bat I got Versace black jeans! One of my all time favorites, a rare gem these days. However century is a refined version that is toned down in that tar note that black jeans is known for. I can see why some people are turned off by century as black jeans is also a challenging fragrance. Man what a find. Should have got the larger bottle. 10/10

This one is very interesting, but in a good way. I get citrus, but only a for a bit (no more than 1 min.) then I get florals. Not dark florals either, more white florals. Now the interesting part is that even though this is more of a floral scent, its not at all feminine. Its a soft masculine floral scent with neroli and a bit of citrus in the background. Imagine Dunhill Icon with some added white florals. Ive only worn it once, but it doesnt last long on me. I'll give it another wearing tomorrow to better judge longevity and projection. Its a beautiful signature scent that many will like, I just wish it was more potent. Which would make this perfect for the office and warmer days.

Cypriol bomb, supported by noticeable grapefruit and frankincense notes. Also some neroli in the background. Average/good performance. My guess is that it might have been born from the same draft as Icon, but results going in a different direction, and it's not redundant at all to own both. And I do, indeed! Very nice Spring/Fall days fragrance for 25+, highly recommended! Note: no similarity whatsoever with Santal33. Edit: to add that after a year of not wearing it, I do today. And after owning 400+ fragrances, I still think that it's a fantastic release by Dunhill, that could have very well been released by a niche house. And the pricing makes it even more delightful!

Great Icon cousin(but not smelling similar), clean, crisp, woodsy and classy. Opens a bit fresh tangy citrusy and a neroli introduction. The dominant note is the cypriol which projects spicy, earthy, woody (papyrus) and continues into the dry-down where it combines with a smooth sandalwood. It's a clean cut, stylish, unique character that is airy and very versatile. Minimalistic understated elegance, suits any occasions and good as a signature scent as well. Performance is on the softer side, but with a nice bubble and occasional whiffs that stay around for quite a while, longevity is medium. Great value and like it's cousin underestimated, imho. Try it.

When I first sprayed this fragrance on my skin I kind of liked it but I wasn't 100% sure I would truly enjoy it, but a couple of months later when the weather was a bit warmer I tried it again and I liked it much more, then I tried it again a few days later and I really enjoyed...it started to grow on me and now it is one of my easy "go to" fragrances to reach when I am not sure what to wear, I just love it. I really enjoy that bright clean woody citrus scent that is so different to any other fragrance I have...I think it is great, I can't stop sniffing my wrist when I spray it on it.

Unique, chic, and somehow fresh. Not for the average "crowd pleasing" Joe. It reminds me of Le Labo Santal 33 - that's how I found this fragrance, looking for fragrances that are similar to Santal 33, but not so expensive. And I love it, maybe even more than the Le Labo - except the silage, that is not as powerful as its counterpart. It is like a subdue and less dense version of Santal 33, with rounder edges and the freshness of neroli and the opening citrus. I don't recommend it as a blind buy if you don't know this scent profile. Try before you get it. I personally love it!

I have been chasing the scent of S33 ever since I smelled it and got a sample (but not wanting to pay S33 prices) Investigating what I love so much about S33 I concluded that it was Papyrus/Cypriol that I love, so I blind bought a massive bottle of Century. It smells similar, less sweet but absolutely fantastic to my wife and I noses. Happy I discovered this as it allows me to scratch the itch for Santal 33 for 30.00 dollars. Highly recommended if you like Papyrus/Cypriol sugar coated sandalwood P.S. I hate grape soda. This does not smell like grape anything IMO

It's been said a few times here. It's a sleeper. I bought it in 2019, wasn't really impressed by it, it slid to the back of my collection, I've probably worn it three times since I bought it. It's a hot spring day here in London 2026, I put it on earlier today and started to really respect it. It's, Lemon, Neroli some herbaceous elements but it super fresh and clean, my wife just asked to wear it, which is normally a good sign. I'm off to Cannes next week for a work conference and this fragrance will be coming with me, I couldn't think of a better companion.

Highly underrated and understated artwork. Almost no projection on my skin but what a unique interpretation of the clean freshy genre with a feint "blink and you'll miss it" old school aftershave soapy linger. This is one you buy to enjoy for yourself, it's a love it or hate it thing. A lot of my purchases are now becoming like this (like my Narcissos) you either appreciate the composition or you dont. My nose has moved on from the compliment mainstream scene. I'll be picking up as many bottles as i can to enjoy for some time to come.

This might be one of the best affordable fragrances I've come across, you can get the big bottles for dirt cheap online it's almost unbelievable. The fragrance itself is very pleasant and fresh smelling. I would say it leans more mature but i could see any age liking and wearing this. Performance on me is 6-7 hours, and a tip for people who own this fragrance don't pull the cap off you need to twist it and it comes off much easier and isn't a hassle.

This is a loverly long lasting mens fragrance nothing wierd about it, sillage is ok and very good on clothes even the next day. my missus loves it and kept raving about it. no its not Icon and really Dunhill dont very often make Flankers that smell the same anyway. So not sure of the connection as this is Century not an Icon flanker. its not a beast but will keep wafting around you so i like that i can enjoy it as others do :) works for me!

To give you an idea of how this smells , Imagine a slighly old wooden chair that has been freshly cleaned and washed with soap.The chair hasnt dryed completely and u smell it. Its clean, green , woody, fresh , slightly earthy and classy.Perfect for office or white polo shirt daytime situations. Make sure u like sandalwood before u buy this one as this is a sandalwood forward fragrance. Personally , I LOVE it.

This is a classy fragrance with a very interesting combination of notes, giving it a rather unique vibe. You just need to give it time to develop. It starts off with a bright clean citrusy fresh opening. About 15 minutes into it, you get a spicy/herbal aromatic scent which later dries down to a very clean and musky woody aroma. Presentation: 9/10 Scent: 8/10 Longevity: 8:10 Silage: 8/10 Signature Worthy: Yes

Century is my second Dunhill after Icon. They are different enough to own both. Century was my daily casual Fragrance. It ́s light, fresh and woody. 135 ml for 25 € hey i could use it whenever i want. My wife doesnt like Parfums but she like this one because she say it is smelling like acacia flowers. Edit 030825 and 23.04.26 Now i could find and buy 4 x 135 ml in Holiday from Türkiye for around 4 x 30€.

To me, it's a masterpiece of modern parfumery. Neroli and Sandalwood are the 2 most discernable notes, while they're both very different they create together a beautiful symbiosis here : it's soapy, clean and on the other hand there is this earthy, almost vegetal, smell going through. May sound weird, but it gives me the feeling of being in a luxurious hotel lobby in the savanna.

I blind bought this and DONT regret it! It’s very unique masculine pleasant inoffensive and nothing else like it. Smells nothing like Santal 33 if you like or want Santal 33 look for the new release of “Vince Camuto Virtu” or “Book by Commodity”. Century by Dunhill is a green citrus scent that is sophisticated enough for night wear and formal dress wear not just day and summer!

Where on EARTH are people getting or comparing this with Santal 33??!?? This is more of a neroli citrus woody green scent. And this is so unique and such an inoffensive and pleasant scent. Masculine citrus! The smell at first to the untrained nose may bypass this or not think much of it but when you smell it on dry down level on someone else it’s beautiful!

This is my signature scent and if i had a choice to pick one scent and call it a day forever this would be it. Sometimes you don't try stuff because it didn't get attention and you accidently come across something like this and your mind is blown. Basically its a more transparent airy and less thick version of Icon and I love it that grape soda vibe.

Nose: Neroli, Cypriol Oil, earthy, woody, citrus. A unique smell, distinctive, original. I like it. The bottle is unique as well. Got it because I read it smell like Black Jeans Versace for men, well it does not smell at all. I still have a bottle of BJV if some aficionado out there knows an alternative or similar please advise., Thank you.

A love and hate fragrance for me. It makes my stomach turn and yet I want to keep smelling it because it does smell great. The cypriol oil, neroli, and sandalwood dominate. I am a big fan of the Icon Elite but not so much the original Icon. This does have some similarity to both, and maybe that's why I love and hate parts of this.

Amazing fragrance and for the price... what a steal. Very classy, modern, clean, versatile and unique male leaning scent. This is definitely a love it or hate it although I don't think anybody would find this to be offensive in any way. Great for almost any occasion except I wouldn't wear this in the winter time. Blind buy worthy.

Wow, this one is really good! I took a chance and wore it to a summer party last night. During the evening I got four compliments from four different ladies... 😊 Women seems to really love it! I thought this one was kind of a safe office scent but obviously I was wrong. The performance is also good!

This is a weird one for me. The opening a get a lot of Neroli/citrus and it kinda smells a lot like a classic mens cologne 4711 type. But then after 10 minutes that neroli/citrus calms down and I get a lot of sandalwood and olibanum, all together it smells like Fruity Pebbles cereal for some reason.

My respect to this particular perfume due to 2 reasons First: it is reasonably priced. Second: it came in a big size by default in case you like to bathe in it But I cannot accept myself wearing this in the hot days. I’ll return back to it when weather gets cooler to make my final conclusion.

In terms of smell and actual ingredients & composition, Century is by far the best fragrance Dunhill makes, and it's not particularly close. It grows on you, to be honest at first I thought it smelled like an upscale laundry detergent, and now I'm on my third bottle already, go figure...!!!!

This is under rated. If your going to a business meeting this is serious sharp and focused. If someone smells this they know your not there to mess about. Its fresh and distinct. Def not for under 30's. More on the mature side. Buy this as a gift for your granddaddy or pappy :)

Currently £19.99 at TK Maxx, after reading the reviews thought it was a no brainer, it was! Brilliant mature day time Spring/Summer/Autumn fragrance, super office appropriate. Can't stand "Blue" fragrances, so bored of them, so this will be in my rotation in the summer months.

I don't really understand the bad reviews on this. Well maybe I do. It does have a niche quality about it so maybe some people (mainstream) aren't used to it. I find it quite nice. Safe but with some backbone. It's in the same genre as Carven Leau Intense. Nicely done. 8/10

I love this. I think it smells better than Icon. Smells very clean and love the toned down note of rubberish smell(violet leaf?). Dior Fahrenheit was little too much for me but Century and Kiton are uniquely amazing. Performance is okay but lasts pretty long on my skin.

Yes, I loveeee this one. It' handsome, green, fresh, masculine without overpowering, spicy in bright way, and calming at the same time. I also like the bottle design and that magnetic cap! For me, it reminds me to Lalique Equus, which also one of my fave scent.

This smells like how a bamboo jungle smells like after a fresh rain. So very unique. Solid performance too. 9/10 hours longevity. 3-4 hours solid projection. High noticeability factor on this due to it's uniqueness Not for kids,this is a sophisticated freshie.

I sprayed a couple of mists on my hoodie, and it just so happens that one of my female friends was cold and asked to borrow my hoodie. I got complimented. Suffice to say, it not only pleases my nose, but the noses of other people as well.

Instant love. Santal 33 but not nuclear bomb sillage & longevity. It feels like a $150-200 fragrance. I can clearly smell it 4 hours after. Longevity, unsure. a little bit dill smelling but for $30 CAD i’m not complaining.

If this was packaged by Creed or Le Labo people would pay $300-400 easily for it, dismissed it as a laundry detergent when I first got it, now about to get my third bottle, go figure...!!!

It has a pleasant clean citrus and white floral opening, similar to Neroli Portofino. Then, it drys down to a creamy sweet sandalwood, cardamom, with hints of resin. Great scent and dna

I put on musk oil and then spray this and go about my business, I tell you what, nobody is ever going to mistake me for anything else other than a no nonsense professional...!!!

The price vs quality ratio on this is absolutely mind blowing to me, you can get it less than 30 bucks and it smells like a high end designer if not niche. brilliant stuff.

I LOVE this fragrance! It has the combo of neroli and spicy sandalwood. The neroli lasts until the end. Very lovely scent that suits every situation and weather.
