Desire Blue Ocean

This is a great dumb reach fragrance. I blind bought a 100ml for $22usd, so to say this was a bargain is an understatement. As soon as I sprayed it for the first time I instantly knew that this was going to be perfect for the Texas hot summers. It Is very light and refreshing,not a heavy scent . The citrus in the opening is so inviting that you are immediately pulled in and is such an addictive scent. Performance is good I get 6-7 hours. Projection is average but for a summer citrus scent you don’t want to be projecting all over the place. This really reminds me of AdG Profondo Lights, except that one has a more earthy mineral dry down and of course was 5x times the price. I truly like almost love Dunhill Blue Ocean and if you’re on the fence about this one just get it, it’s so cheap less than $30.

Notes from fragrancex.com. Top notes- Lime, Peppermint. Mid notes- Sea Breeze, Orange. Base notes- Vetiver, Patchouli, Ambroxan, Tonka Bean. This is a really great citrus aquatic fragrance! It smells very pleasant and it is under the radar right now but once it gains some attention I think a lot of people will like this. It's more smooth and rich than the original Desire Blue. The original is more aquatic and sweet while this is more citrus. I give this a 9.3/10 The more I wear Blue Ocean the more I like it! The ambroxan in this is actually blended in really well. It almost gives off a clean musky smell. This is a nicely done Blue fragrance.

Classy fragrance highly recommended for summer, not for cold weather. Scent was simple, just fresh & clean but yet mass appealing, everything is balance. Perfume with no haters at all. Easily wore this on summer without doubt. Overall rating 9.5/10✨

A lovely blue fragrance, and doesnt have notes that tries to make it "masculine" usually weird bitter notrs...just I dunno smoooth and blue I destroyed that bottle easy to wear I feel.

Very similar to Dior Homme Sport 2017 Fresh & Fruity!

This one is clean and fresh. It has elements of a blue fragrance. I can detect a small amount of the Desire Blue DNA, but that has a lot more sweet citrus to it. This is less sweet and has that blue fragrance vibe. When I think of aquatic, I think of ADG or Versace Man Eau Fraiche. I am reminded of two fragrances with this one: Sauvage and Eternity for Men. Basically, take Eternity, add a dash of Sauvage, add a cool, slightly sweet touch of citrus, and you have Desire Blue Ocean. Projection and longevity issues: be liberal with the sprays! Apply lotion before and/or after spraying (Roja himself suggests applying lotion AFTER spraying to increase longevity). As it dries down, it becomes even more sweet and pleasant. Recommend a pickup of this, along with the entire Desire line. Black is a great spicy scent. Original red Desire is a classic sweet banger. Desire Blue used to be a signature scent, love it. Desire Silver is a clean smelling soapy fragrance, something like a Prada? Desire Gold certainly smells like Aventus but a better interpretation than Insurrection II Pure at the same price.

This smells about 70% similar to the newer formulation of Azzaro Chrome Extreme, by that I mean that you’re getting a good quality blue/ambroxan scent. This fragrance differs in that it is much more fresh/soapy smelling, kind of like a bar of soap. I feel that there is a little bit of the Dunhill desire blue DNA in this, but it is not very pronounced. That is a shame because the Dunhill Desire Blue fragrance is a rare and top-notch scent. I think that they should’ve honored that DNA more, instead of making this more modern smelling with the ambroxan. This fragrance would probably appeal more to a wider age range, whereas the OG would probably appeal more to an older age range.

This is a great fragrance from dunhill and for the cheap pricetag it can be found at makes it even better. Dunhill Desire Blue ocean smells exactly like the name sounds and the bottle looks. This is a great dumb reach summer staple for any collection, you just can't go wrong with this fragrance because of it's affordable pricetag. I get average performance indoors with this fragrance but in high heat situations it projects like crazy. Overall this is a really solid pickup for anyone who needs an affordable summer fragrance. 8/10

Not bad. Generic salty ambergris and citrus water tonic, like Invictus with a sprig of spearmint, but I really can’t be bothered to say an unkind word about it. Good performance. Find it on discount at Marshalls, TJ or Ross.

This is a bit of a chameleon depending on where you apply it, but what I get is CK Eternity in the Opening and on the dry down I get a milder, watery version of Antonio Banderas Absolute Seduction.

Lovely fragrance but extremely disappointed in the lack of projection and longevity.

It's a modern take on Desire Blue. Fruity, fresh, and simple. There's not much more to say than that. Desire Blue Ocean is a youthful, linear fragrance with a heavy marine note and some citruses. Perfect for a high schooler to stash in his locker during the warmer months and stay refreshed every few hours. I'm guessing this will hit discounter stores like Ross and TJ Maxx eventually for $20 or something like that. I'd wait to grab it until then.

I'm a big fan of Dunhill fragrances and Blue Ocean is no exception in the Desire line. This is a sunshine day kind of fragrance that's very pleasant throughout. 7 out of 10 for me and I use it on a "I'm feeling good today" days. It's not one for the rotation list but one that would make a nice change on a sunshiny day😎❕ A really nice smelling scent👌👍🤗❤️😎!

I really want to love this one. It smells great when you initially spray it out of the bottle. It's citrusy and oceanic. Trouble is, once it hits my skin, it just disappears to nothing in a matter of minutes. Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 0/10 Projection: 0/10 Overall: 1/10

This was given as a gift a few years ago. The opening has a strong marine, salty, citrusy smell that can be a bit harsh to some. However, the smell is very appropriate for hotter settings. The dry down has a woody, ambery smell to it, which isn't listed in the notes. It has a similar dry down to perhaps chanel allure eau extreme because they both share those main notes I've mentioned. The projection of the drydown isn't as loud as the opening, nor will it be long lasting. This becomes immediately into a skin scent in 2 hours. It's a cheap dumb reach.

Unexpectedly, an ambroxan marine scent that is done right, smooth and very well balanced. Doesn't smell harsh at all. Cooling and pleasant. I get the citruses, the mint, the fruits with blast of citruses and aquatic notes. Performance is not bad.

Its fresh, reminds me of Alfred Sung Hei. At least the beginning.

Amazing summer fragnance. Only problem is longevity.
