Desire Bronze

Bronze was better than I expected. Good amounts of cedar with cumin, rose, amber and a dry butterscotch element that is a bit unusual. A bit of incense, nutmeg and cinnamon waft in and out along the way, and vanilla plays a role. These elements make for a nice ride for the first two hours, then it falls back to mostly cedar and vanilla, and becomes pretty generic. An hour after that, it is gone. So a nice fragrance for a few hours, but not a big performer on any level. The prior reviewer and I must have gotten different batches, because my decant had a quite mild rose - this coming from someone who really dislikes most rose fragrances. This is much less rose than, say, Toy Boy. I'm fine with my decant, but this will be forgotten quickly, just as it has apparently been forgotten by Dunhill, who never even put any marketing into this when it launched.

Not sure what went wrong here. Based on the notes, I should love this, but probably the cheapie blind buy I regret most. Not even for $20. There is a sort of fake cumin note that mixes with the rose and wood to make a sort of BO with an underlying almost sickly sweetness from the vanilla and synthetic cedar. I would have called this scent Disharmony Bronze.
