Desire Extreme

This is a unique, sexy fragrance that is very sophisticated. Your going to wear this when you want to feel sophisticated but not too serious. It is not in your face, but it creates a perfect scent bubble and keeps giving off gentle wafts for hours. I blind bought this and smelled it first on paper. Not impressed at all. I decided to give it a chance though, and on skin, I was pleasantly surprised. I smelled something sweet like golden honey and woods on a nice background of spice, with the leather note in the background really grounding everything, but this has the complexity of a fragrance that is sophisticated -- it has a complex smell. I smell a smokiness akin to tobacco as well, but more the ashtray type of tobacco ala Lanvin Avant Garde rather than something sweeter like in JV. Overall, glad I bought this. I already own multiple Dunhill Desire fragrances, including Desire, Desire Blue, Desire Black, and Desire Silver. The original and blue are probably my favorites overall, with Desire being a stunner, Blue being similar but with more citrus, Black being completely different peppery spice, and Silver being more soapy. Overall, a great add to my collection, I'd recommend it if you like sophisticated, understated fragrances.

the dunhill red and blue were iconic to many men for more than a decade due to their longevity and price tag, they always picked up compliments.but personally to my taste they were always over bearing on sweetness and too potent.if you didnt like those....look at this new flanker...its a different story, its more suited up, doesnt smell at all like the old red, its more mature, you get that beautiful blood orange which will remind you of one million by paco, but not as sweet, its more like one million prive style, it wont be animalic but very strong bold statement it will make, as time progresses you will get darker tones with the saffron,patch and leather, will be followed by familiar amber,but at no point it becomes vanilla/tonka like which is wonderful,its to wear at work, evening time, its gonna get compliments and respect, and the bottle is gorgeous,its no longer a synthetic obnoxious child's play...this is serious. longevity:7.5/10 projection:7/10 smell:8/10 versatility:6/10 Overall:8/10 fantastic mature release, sample it, dont blind buy, coz leather/darkness isnt everybody's cup of tea, cheers :)

This is my new updated review I feel that is fair for this fragrance!! Yes this does smell very similar to Polo red extreme what facets of the original desire in it but it is pretty much piggyback on Polo red extreme!! I really see myself gravitating to this for a couple months now I really adore it which also Polo red extreme is an Exquisite fragrance what time I purchase in the near future!!! To be fair as an extreme version my girl doesn't know what Polo red extreme smells like so I put the original desire and one hand and desire extreme on the other and she clearly can tell Extreme as more of a intense extreme version than tge sweet o.g. desire!! Its rich/ fruity/woody/spicey, exciting yet calming!!! Great edition to my desire line just picked up the silver edition its growing on me it changes everytime i wear it. Def. An interesting fresh scent, cant wait to try desire black!!

Edit: After trying this three times from a decant, I bought a bottle. I have tried it three more times over a 9 month period, and it is like a different fragrance. It has no base notes, no leather or patchouli, and while it has a nice fruity/spicy opening, that fades without being replaced by anything special. And there is an element that hits me as a bit scratchy/synthetic. I don't know if this is reformulation, if my decant was mislabeled or something else, but it isn't doing it for me anymore. --------------- JLD87 below makes a good point. This is not for the younger crowd, the Abercrombie & Fitch guys or guys who have three or fewer fragrances that they rotate through daily. The regular Desire Red, with its sweetness, orange blossom and vanilla, is more of what you want.

Diğer parfümlerde olduğu gibi harika bir şişeye sahip. Çok uygun fiyata bulursanız alabilirsiniz. Sise yanınızda olmalı ve her 2-3 Saat içinde parfümü tazelemeniz lazım.

Just imagine the original Desire with a more masculine and oriental vibe. I'm not surprised that many reviewers didn't like it. It's not a fragrance for little kids and it doesn't smell mainstream. First spray is citrus, fresh, original Desire DNA. Middle notes slowly moving to the oriental vibe, safran, a bit oudy and animalic Base is more sweet, amber, caramel, close to Gucci Guilty absolute. Let me be clear. It's a fragrance for very masculine men's. It's a statement of virility with some sweetness women love. Longevity is average Sillage is average Safe blind buy: absolutely not unless you are oriental fragrance fan.

I have it from few months back i was surprised it wasnt shown here before now....the fragrance is superb almost like sweet in the begining and its between sweet and woody in the drydown and its almost has the vibe of dunhill icon absolute with the sweetness...and guess what....its long lasting and one of the top fragrances in my list ;)

This is unique fragrance, not typical for sure. Im glad that i discovered this one. A style with no compromises. Fit's to leather jacket, old style car and winter evenings!

Have only just sprayed so will write my full review another time but can i just say the bottle design is lush. Very well done bottle

#806 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Well, this one certainly draws some mixed reactions. Apparently if you hate this, you really hate it. If you like it, you really like it. There's nothing radically different about this scent to draw such passion either way. I think it's a matter of style. This is a classic masculine scent, and if you're part of the "Versace Eros before every club night" generation, this is probably not for you. But for me, if you buy EDTs at all, this is the first and only Dunhill EDT I'd consider owning. I've given away bottles of Desire Red, Desire Blue, Edition, all scents that are nice for about twenty minutes. Abysmal performance that might have been acceptable 30 years ago, but not today. I've given away some of the EDPs as well: Icon, Racing Red, Elite, all poor performers despite being sold as EDPs. But last year I reluctantly gave the new "Signature" line a try, and found the only scent in the line not worth having was Valensole Lavender which smelled like cheap laundry detergent. All the others are first rate scents that draw positive notice and perform well, and I'm glad to own them and wear them. I see the Signature line as something of a renaissance for the classic Dunhill brand. Desire Red Extreme is not part of that renaissance, but it's a solid scent. It is not in any way similar to the original, but makes much more of a masculine impression. No vanilla, green apple and rose. Instead we have sage, saffron and leather. It's really not a flanker at all. Projection is not quite arm's length. Skin scent lasts till lunch. Car pool, elevator and small office safe. Solid business wear, casual wear, and a very fair price. But I do find myself wishing Dunhill had done this as an EDP as I certainly prefer this scent to Racing Red, and if it were available in an EDP potency it would absolutely be a bottle buy for me.

Desire Extreme will get you noticed by people around you that's for sure! In Extreme I get a little bit in the ball park of the original Desire but this is darker and beefed up alot more. For me the first thing I notice from Extreme is the leather note and I notice this through whole duration but it works very well in my opinion. Both this and Desire scream the color Red which I like! I also seem to get alot of what smells like Orange Blossom but there is no note of Orange Blossom listed. I notice the Cypress which adds to that darkness with the Leather accord. Overall through the whole fragrance you get a load of sweetness from the Blood Orange. The Blood Orange and the Leather are the main players in this fragrance. This is a very sweet and very animalic and rugged fragrance too. I would say this is Dunhill Desire to the Extreme and I enjoy it! This fragrance performs like a beast as well! You could wear this partying or maybe clubbing. I wore it to the indoor jogging track and I could tell people were like what is that smell? It's a loud, daring and attractive fragrance. To me this is unique and very bold. Dunhill continues to make these gems that are qualitative and affordable! I own both Desire and Desire Extreme and I enjoy them both. One is sweet and cute and the other is sweet and beastly. It's a good combination to have both along with the others from the Desire line. Rating 91/100

This was a blind buy for a 2ml sample of Dunhill Desire Extreme i just wanted to add up to my minimum purchase amount so that I could apply a discount code. Now Long story short this is a very unique scent especially the opening, the dry down is not bad per say could have been better. The blood orange note is something that I liked here. The opening smells punchy sour and comes of strong and polarizing. The dry down is nice, modern and masculine I believe it would appeal more towards men 25 and above. It goes strong on the aromatic ambroxan and sour leather notes with a bit of a herbaceous nuance. The notes are well blended nothing standing out to prominent to annoy you. It just a mild sweetness because of the ambroxan but otherwise its just sour leather, woody cypress and herbal sage. It smells totally different from what I have in my collection though it smells cheap. The beauty of this is in the sillage. Performance is pretty moderate around 1 and half hour of good projection and then it does give you whiffs up till the 5th hour before it turns into a skin scent. Its great for people who like leather and it does not smell anything like Dunhill desire red. PS: Don't blind buy this. Try it before you buy.

Update: lasts about 5 hours and tapers off a lot by hour 6-7. By hour 8, it is completely gone. Really excellent value here. In the cheap fall date night category (that I've tried so far), this is ahead of Man In Red, and Eternity Flame, but behind Guess by Marciano. The silage is on par with all of them, and I'm not sure how much you have to spray for this to fall under "enormous" but I sprayed 6 times and it is arm's length. Citrus opening is nice but not overpowering and the saffron is surprisingly present and not just masked by the other notes. Despite having no wood notes, it still gives a bit of a woody scent. It's really well blended and refined. It's unlikely to be a re-buy for me as I just can't see me reaching for this over other things, but if you want a budget date night or evening scent for the fall and winter months, you can't go wrong with this. I'll update later with the performance but I suspect this will be a good 6-8 hours of life based on how strong it is 20m out.

I completely changed my mind about this fragrance. It is an excellent citrus leather with an authentic, identifiable saffron note. At first I didn't like it because it was too simplistic and linear. I wore traditional Desire for years and years. But as I have collected other fragrances and worn One Man Show Ruby Edition, this one hits all the right notes for me. Sometimes you have to expand your palette and live with a fragrance for a while. I also think it's a little more complex in Spring, Summer evenings and in Fall. Winter makes it smell simpler.

I can smell sweet citrus with very soft leather. Big blast citrus at the opening. I can smell the saffron? it really pleasant and unique to my nose. I get similarities to polo red extreme but only on the opening. This is long-lasting on my skin and also the price is affordable. Another plus point to this fragrance. Rating: 8/10 Solid Dunhill fragrance.

A woodier & spicer version of the original Dunhill Desire for men that maintains the sweet fruitiness of the original. Overall, a nice above average smell. The bottle, however, is absolutely stunning!

Is a really nice composition with zesty and fizzy opening, that become gourmandy and creamy, is somehow original, but all the notes are noticeably synthetic.

It's oooooookay. I honestly don't think this resembles the original Desire very closely as it's missing that distinct apple opening, floral notes, and vanilla drydown. Instead, we have a bright blood orange opening that very quickly mellows down to a soft, dry, ambry leather. The opening is awesome, but the drydown is not; it doesn't smell "bad" per se, it just isn't interesting at all and seems very flat compared to the citric opening. The whole thing goes from dynamic to boring very, very quickly. Put simply, this fragrance smells just like the $25 you can get it for. File it with the countless other "solid budget fragrances" that are good for a beginner but probably won't hold anyone's attention for long.

suprisingly good. literally all the reviews on YT were positive, but the price was like 22€ on Notino so I thought it's because the lastest batches are shit and it's being discontinued or something, as I remember people bashing the latest batches of pretty much every Dunhill fragrance (Icon, Century, Desire Blue etc.). but it actually smells great without ever being similar to "original" Desire, it's a good performer, it's a cool looking bottle and for that price it's really a no-brainer. it's a good choice for any occasion and any time of year except summer. like I've said, trully a no-brainer at that price and a solid "like".

It is somewhat strange and unique scent , I liked it but don't feel it suits me , i don't know why , not its scent on my skin, i just felt it is not for me ... the longevity is so week, and you need re spry it after a while... I will not buy it again anyway..

If you’ve ever smelled Starry Nights by Montale; this is a close, more synthetic somewhat similar version of it. The opening on this stuff is LOUD when you first blast it. There’s no other fragrance I’ve smelled that had ever gotten me dizzy except for this one. Don’t get me wrong, it’s somewhat nice but I’ll never wear it anywhere. The only thing that is saving this fragrance is the laaaate drydown. It's not that bad. TOO MUCH BLOOD ORANGE AND PATCHOULI IN THE OPENING AND MID 😵💫😷

This is a heavy fragrance, spicy, sweet and a bit too synthetic for my liking. Harsh, slightly offensive, sickening and terrible in warm weather or humidity. That's my take, it's average and for whatever reason it doesn't agree with my skin. I don't totally dislike it but I don't really like it. I will use up the bottle I have but I will not buy again. 4/10

Tried it at work today, very reminiscent of polo red intense in a cheaper way. It's very sweet and spicy, last a long time as soon as I sprayed it I washed it off with detergent it didn't come off its still on my hand and it's been 8 hours now. Not for me, I really don't like this. Nice bottle tho I give it that

The opening is nice with the blood orange, but then the harsh bitter chemicals kick in, from there it's hard to enjoy. No leather at all... bitter cleaning chemicals are not leather to me. I really wanted to like this according to the reviews, so it was quite a disappointment tbh

I’m onto my second 100mL bottle of this. First bottle took forever to get through and I thought I’d never buy again but it popped up as I was browsing a site and I just remember that it was unique so I bought it. If it’s citrus then it’s a weird heavy citrus.. definetly blood orange not lemon, and quickly develops into very masculine leather. The leather gives it the mature vibe and since I’m now 46 I love that but it’s not an ‘old man’ scent or barber shop vibe. I’m not sure if it’s the sage but there’s something there with the leather and orange that keeps it classy. It definetly develops and lasts a good 4/5 hours for me. It’s an autumn and winter vibe scent. I wear it to work (clinical office environment). No compliments as yet but I don’t care. I deal with the general public for work so smell many perfumes and never smell anything like this. I’d say if you’re 40+ blind buy a small bottle if you can find it .. these days I’d say it’s niche cause nobody wears it except me!

This one is a little confusing, as it looks similar to the red desire - comparing the ingredients, both list fragrance as ingredients, but there appear to be many more ingredients for the red version than this. This may indicate that the red desire has a more complex range of chemicals balancing it out, which I interpret as better. I tried them both: too fruity for my preference, though the red desire seems to have more notes some dunhil dna in the smell while a fruity scent. The red extreme in comparison seems to have a stronger sweet and tart note that is quite characteristic, but perhaps younger feeling. Certainly the best of the cheapies in the Chemist at the moment in my opinion and fruity substitutes for Acqua di Gio. I personally recommend the Black desire one as a serious scent for work/business - it’s different but that one really got my attention - purchased the Desire Black and that one is probably my most favourite scent (other than Aramis Tuscany Uomo).

I blind bought this, i tested it on paper strip immidiately at night, that was not bad. I put that paper sprayed above my bed beside the slightly opened window, wind came in all the time till morning and brought dunhill desire red extreme smell by itself and the smell getting worse and worse. That was terrible night because i regreted buying this blindly. In my region, this was not cheap price fregrance. In the morning, after i ate breakfast and ready to went out of home, i decided to wear this again but this time i sprayed it on my skin, pulse point, and the result was completely different from past night. In my conclusion, first do not test it on paper and then decide about it. Second, this is a daytime fragrance, do not use it at night. New high quality material bottle and package constructed with though. No more glass bottle and metal cap like old years. "Written in early winter 2020"

The blood orange opening is god mode. Simply sublime, but it seems to go away in seconds. After one minute a thick wall of pepper oozes out. At this stage, not overly sweet, more dry. This is not very much like Desire for a man, although you can see the original accord being deep within the heart of this. The dry down is this dark sultry leather concoction that is like a niche fragrance done with synthetics. It’s almost like an oud. I don’t think it will offend people too much but it has a strong attitude. Not mainstream. I really like it and would recommend to buy it if you like darker saffron scents with leather and vetiver. The price is great. This is potentially a going out bad boy-fragrance for a grown man with a dark side who sports a leather jacket, likes red ferrari and knows how to have a good time.

I was the very buyer in France to get it last friday. I am a big fan of Dunhill Red since 15 years ! So I was expecting a lot from this scent made by the very same creator. The smell is really incredible. It has a taste of red but it adds different layers. It looks as if the perfume is very strong when you spray it...unfortunately, it is very weak. At work, my collegues did not notice it...so I am puzzled. It is very hard these days to get perfumes that are strong and gentle at the same time. Either you have "Bleu de Chanel" that smells nice but that is too weak or you have "one million" or "Sauvage" that are too strong....

I'll say this... it's different. In this day and age where the market is saturated with clones, and houses playing it safe with "what works/sells" it's refreshing to smell something unique. This isn't a scent for everyone, I see it fitting the 35-55 year old range who is trying to evoke strength and confidence, and the desire and courage to stand out from the sheep who all smell the same. I would recommend wearing it from September through March, especially at night. A really great value. Wouldn't suggest it as a blind-buy. -Papa

So I was trying to figure out what that strong sharp linear scent is that is right in the center of the scent that we all know to be the original Dunhill Desire. I dont know what saffron smells like by it self but I'm going to assume its that because the other day I sprayed Dunhill Desire Black all over the room as room spray and realized that desire extreme is OG DESIRE combined with DESIRE BLACK to me. I like it. Smells good to me. Took the OG which was outstanding and added a more spicy/incense like note to it.

While I don't find anything "Extreme" about this fragrance, it does make for a pretty decent office scent for cooler months. I can't see this offending anyone but I don't see it being a heavy compliment getter either. At work I'm not really fishing for compliments as much as I want to wear a fragrance that is professional and clean. This certainly fits the bill. 7/10

I was gifted this ummm cologne. I'm not a hater of much. Have 5 Dunhill Desire & flankers. This one? Nauseous. Obnoxious. Cloying. And a terrible trainwreck of being just synthetic as it gets. Synthetic + good scent? I can deal with it a bit. Synthetic + Dumpster Fire? Back into the bin.

The notes might be tempting but it is unfortunately a Chemical mess. The orange openining starts promising but very quickly it turns into a harsh unpleasant scent. not recommended
