Dunhill Fresh

I knew from memory that this is an old freshie but I cannot remember the scent profile when I came across it in the store. After checking if it's blind buy worthy despite a tester without spray cap to smell, I realised that DF is by the same man who made Nautical Voyage. Maurice Roucel has a knack of coming up with very good flora, musk and green freshies. He's the perfumer for Gucci Envy too. Notable popular releases includes DKNY Be Delicious, lalique pour homme (lion), Musc Ravageur, Labdanum 18, Matcha Meditation etc. So yea I picked it up for $45 sgd. The bottle is simple, square and clear but the juice is so swimming pool water like, inviting you to jump and swim in it, really nice to look at and feel fresh. The cap is heavy and is steel with some plastic, good weight. Now this opens Green, really green with mint and slight flora. It has this bit of TdH flanker wannable vibe, No lemon no citrus freshie. It's grassy slightly Herby so the Vetiver and oakmoss is there early in front too. There is a dupe that also kinda smells Abit like this and that is Rasasi Fattan, a more grassy Herby version of TdH. However, DF other than being a green freshie it has some floras in it and I can smell iris but not heavy, violet kinda heavy but still getting much green. Generally I think DF gives an older vibe, a freshie that comes from 90s or 00s, old school green fresh aftershave vibe. DF surprisingly projects well. Silage is pretty good too. It's scent profile makes it probably not suitable for everyone, especially the younger users and those who don't like green grassy herb. Verdict: 7/10 A cool and fresh herbal fragrance for the warmer days with very pleasing green floral composition that dries down to a very musculine vetiiver mossy drydown.

Tbh, this old schoolish frag was a blind buy for me, but the reviews made me do it. I'm absolutely in LOVE with this. Very classy, and yet very wearable any time (almost, excluding winter) anywhere (in day time). So here are some things to know about Dunhill Fresh : Office safe : For sure Targeting public : Because it's old class, I'll say 23+ (but a younger guy with enough attitude can pull it off easly) Opening : Shower gel or soapy (but in a good and clean way, very green, herbal in a way) Mid : Starts to get a little spicy and floral, but it keeps it's masculine side Base : Honestly? To me and ON ME (I specify this because every PH is different) is 95% like Versace Pour Homme, so a nice fresh and a little spicy (in the Versace is a little sweeter) Longevity is good for a fresh, and in this price is perfect and nothing more : 5 to 6 hours (maybe 8 on thinner skins, mine is thicker genetically xd) so 9/10 Silage : one hour and a half you get nice 2 to 3 m of projection, after that becomes more a skin scent 7/10 Smell : 10/10 (for me is a perfect choice) Price : 10/10, if this one were like 50-60$, then I'll think twice, but when u can find it at 30-35$, it's a deal (actually in my country is cheaper, around 25$) This review is 100% a subjective one and everything I said is because this is the way I feel about this one. I love classy frags. Not really the most unique one out there, but again, imo a pretty well blended frag with basically no worries to blind buy it

I bought this today and am quite impressed with it. The situation in which I bought this in some small way mirrors the scent itself. Today was 39 Degrees C (102F) with high humidity. I went into a shopping mall to buy this and some other things. The sky was getting overcast as I entered. About 15 minutes later as I walked out of the mall I was surprised to see that it was pouring down with rain - so refreshing. I ran to the car grinning like a fool. Here in Western Australia it very rarely rains in summer - even when it is very humid. To help me feel cool, I choose refreshing scents, as many people do for summer and this one is perfect. It reminds me of Ice Men by Thierry Mugler, though it is not as heavy with the patchouli. It's a bit like someone mixed Ice Men with Versace Eau Fraiche. Dunhill is more floral than either Mugler or the Versace, but it is at the same time masculine. Dunhill is more shortlived than either Ice Men or Versace, though on me those are quite durable fragrances. I am yet to test it out on a hot day (it is night here as I write this)- but at night I got maybe 5 hours out of it. 2012 EDIT .... The cap is really heavy and as a result I broke the neck of the bottle of taking the cap off...pretty poor design and a waste of fragrance.

It's a distant memory, a perfume I smelled almost 20 years ago—probably when the perfume had first come out. I smell it once every couple of years. I look to the right and left, searching for the source, but to no avail! What brought this perfume to mind is my beloved "Vision by Ajmal," which might be my favorite perfume. Words can't describe how fresh it smells—tasty yet elegant and royal! Reviews have mentioned that Vision is like Ajmal's version of Dunhill Fresh! That's what kept the perfume on my mind until I stumbled upon it in one of the shops by chance, and I just had to spray it on my skin. I was indeed blown away! Not only is it very similar to my favorite perfume, but it's also the exact same perfume I was searching for—well, not actively, to be honest. It's such a magical and indescribable moment that connects love and nostalgia. I can't vouch for its performance, unfortunately, as it's weak, to be honest. But still, I don't regret obtaining a bottle of Dunhill Fresh. I thoroughly enjoy it when I spray it, and I simply can't get enough of it while it lasts. I just keep sniffing it like an addict, haha. Maybe it doesn't last because I keep taking whiffs of it, haha.

I ordered Azzaro Aqua Verde, Feraud homme and this, clearly I like this most. I can spray 15 sprays and not get annoyed. It is a more affordable, bit easier everyday version of Lalique Hommage a L'homme, very similar violet, less smoke though. Edit: I just love it. Strikes a balance of fresh, sensual, mysterious and masculine. It feels like the easiest reach ever, perfect for office, gym, car, relaxing, bed, outing, beach, dinner, bar etc since it has this calming and lowkey freshness, much like Joop! Wow. All season no brainer. It doesn’t perform as a attention grabber or club banger, but that makes it great as a signature everyday office frag and you can spray confidently before leaving to any event, knowing you will just smell fresh and right in place. A cool bonus is the very suiting mint-green bottle. Being lowkey but still tasteful and sporting some good weight - telling of a quality piece. Really display worthy on a marble counter and feels nice to handle day to day.
