Dunhill Fresh

I knew from memory that this is an old freshie but I cannot remember the scent profile when I came across it in the store. After checking if it's blind buy worthy despite a tester without spray cap to smell, I realised that DF is by the same man who made Nautical Voyage. Maurice Roucel has a knack of coming up with very good flora, musk and green freshies. He's the perfumer for Gucci Envy too. Notable popular releases includes DKNY Be Delicious, lalique pour homme (lion), Musc Ravageur, Labdanum 18, Matcha Meditation etc. So yea I picked it up for $45 sgd. The bottle is simple, square and clear but the juice is so swimming pool water like, inviting you to jump and swim in it, really nice to look at and feel fresh. The cap is heavy and is steel with some plastic, good weight. Now this opens Green, really green with mint and slight flora. It has this bit of TdH flanker wannable vibe, No lemon no citrus freshie. It's grassy slightly Herby so the Vetiver and oakmoss is there early in front too. There is a dupe that also kinda smells Abit like this and that is Rasasi Fattan, a more grassy Herby version of TdH. However, DF other than being a green freshie it has some floras in it and I can smell iris but not heavy, violet kinda heavy but still getting much green. Generally I think DF gives an older vibe, a freshie that comes from 90s or 00s, old school green fresh aftershave vibe. DF surprisingly projects well. Silage is pretty good too. It's scent profile makes it probably not suitable for everyone, especially the younger users and those who don't like green grassy herb. Verdict: 7/10 A cool and fresh herbal fragrance for the warmer days with very pleasing green floral composition that dries down to a very musculine vetiiver mossy drydown.

Tbh, this old schoolish frag was a blind buy for me, but the reviews made me do it. I'm absolutely in LOVE with this. Very classy, and yet very wearable any time (almost, excluding winter) anywhere (in day time). So here are some things to know about Dunhill Fresh : Office safe : For sure Targeting public : Because it's old class, I'll say 23+ (but a younger guy with enough attitude can pull it off easly) Opening : Shower gel or soapy (but in a good and clean way, very green, herbal in a way) Mid : Starts to get a little spicy and floral, but it keeps it's masculine side Base : Honestly? To me and ON ME (I specify this because every PH is different) is 95% like Versace Pour Homme, so a nice fresh and a little spicy (in the Versace is a little sweeter) Longevity is good for a fresh, and in this price is perfect and nothing more : 5 to 6 hours (maybe 8 on thinner skins, mine is thicker genetically xd) so 9/10 Silage : one hour and a half you get nice 2 to 3 m of projection, after that becomes more a skin scent 7/10 Smell : 10/10 (for me is a perfect choice) Price : 10/10, if this one were like 50-60$, then I'll think twice, but when u can find it at 30-35$, it's a deal (actually in my country is cheaper, around 25$) This review is 100% a subjective one and everything I said is because this is the way I feel about this one. I love classy frags. Not really the most unique one out there, but again, imo a pretty well blended frag with basically no worries to blind buy it

I bought this today and am quite impressed with it. The situation in which I bought this in some small way mirrors the scent itself. Today was 39 Degrees C (102F) with high humidity. I went into a shopping mall to buy this and some other things. The sky was getting overcast as I entered. About 15 minutes later as I walked out of the mall I was surprised to see that it was pouring down with rain - so refreshing. I ran to the car grinning like a fool. Here in Western Australia it very rarely rains in summer - even when it is very humid. To help me feel cool, I choose refreshing scents, as many people do for summer and this one is perfect. It reminds me of Ice Men by Thierry Mugler, though it is not as heavy with the patchouli. It's a bit like someone mixed Ice Men with Versace Eau Fraiche. Dunhill is more floral than either Mugler or the Versace, but it is at the same time masculine. Dunhill is more shortlived than either Ice Men or Versace, though on me those are quite durable fragrances. I am yet to test it out on a hot day (it is night here as I write this)- but at night I got maybe 5 hours out of it. 2012 EDIT .... The cap is really heavy and as a result I broke the neck of the bottle of taking the cap off...pretty poor design and a waste of fragrance.

It's a distant memory, a perfume I smelled almost 20 years ago—probably when the perfume had first come out. I smell it once every couple of years. I look to the right and left, searching for the source, but to no avail! What brought this perfume to mind is my beloved "Vision by Ajmal," which might be my favorite perfume. Words can't describe how fresh it smells—tasty yet elegant and royal! Reviews have mentioned that Vision is like Ajmal's version of Dunhill Fresh! That's what kept the perfume on my mind until I stumbled upon it in one of the shops by chance, and I just had to spray it on my skin. I was indeed blown away! Not only is it very similar to my favorite perfume, but it's also the exact same perfume I was searching for—well, not actively, to be honest. It's such a magical and indescribable moment that connects love and nostalgia. I can't vouch for its performance, unfortunately, as it's weak, to be honest. But still, I don't regret obtaining a bottle of Dunhill Fresh. I thoroughly enjoy it when I spray it, and I simply can't get enough of it while it lasts. I just keep sniffing it like an addict, haha. Maybe it doesn't last because I keep taking whiffs of it, haha.

I ordered Azzaro Aqua Verde, Feraud homme and this, clearly I like this most. I can spray 15 sprays and not get annoyed. It is a more affordable, bit easier everyday version of Lalique Hommage a L'homme, very similar violet, less smoke though. Edit: I just love it. Strikes a balance of fresh, sensual, mysterious and masculine. It feels like the easiest reach ever, perfect for office, gym, car, relaxing, bed, outing, beach, dinner, bar etc since it has this calming and lowkey freshness, much like Joop! Wow. All season no brainer. It doesn’t perform as a attention grabber or club banger, but that makes it great as a signature everyday office frag and you can spray confidently before leaving to any event, knowing you will just smell fresh and right in place. A cool bonus is the very suiting mint-green bottle. Being lowkey but still tasteful and sporting some good weight - telling of a quality piece. Really display worthy on a marble counter and feels nice to handle day to day.

Brilliant stuff! I can't stop sniffing my arm. This is a quality juice! I knew it won't disappoint me after reading and watching so many reviews. First sniff brought Dior's Fahrenheit to my mind but a minute later it was replaced by Lalique Hommage a L'homme which btw is another pure gem itself. Maurice Roucel (Nautica Voyage, Lalique pour homme etc) made another excellent job and Dunhill is a real power house on its fragrance line, I am telling you. Fun fact: People keep saying this one is a clone of Fahrenheit Aqua and Lalique Hommage a L'homme however this one was made way earlier in 2005 meantime those other two were made in 2011.

Really nice cheap warm weather fragrance. I don't think it smells at all like Fahrenheit or even Fahrenheit Aqua; rather, it's a very pleasing green floral composition. It's not nearly as complex as the note pyramid suggests. Violet and other green notes are mostly what I get here, with some woods in the drydown. I'd actually say it's far better suited for spring than it is summer; the notes evoke a calming sense of green floral freshness. Performance is lackluster. It lasts 3-4 hours with a very soft sillage. For me this is a dealbreaker, but if you don't mind that then this is an excellent buy.

Ahh this gem is underrated maybe because it's a softie but make no mistake, this is one lovely fragrance. I mean it smells like cucumbers to me and it doesn't have monster longevity or Sillage but still worth every penny. The name one time the name ''fresh''was perfect for the fragrance was when they made this juice. Its aquatic and freshly cucumbery then when you least expect it it's woody at the dry down.. I mean get it already.. It's a dumb reach without a question.

Not that 'fresh' really in the same way that say a Cool Water is. It dries down pretty quickly into a light but tenacious peppery and slightly sweet woody musk, which I like quite a lot. It also has that Dunhill 'family accord', a kind of cheap powdery synthetic signature note (which I've seen has been hilariously and accurately likened to a new tennis ball) that I've noticed before in their other recent offerings. Overall though I think it's pretty good. Recommended.

One of the best things I've ever smelled in my entire life. I still have the tiny travel size my husband carried around just to sniff it once in a while. I don't remember the longevity being more than 3 hours, which is a shame, but I remember being so happy every time I smelled it on him. Make this an extrait. Someone, make this last forever.

Underrated masterpiece cheapie done by a master perfumer So green and citrusy it's very clean but not boring.. Extra masculine totally recommended for those who wanna get a way from typical designer vibe but want something safe and good then the mint, citrus and grass combo here is what you are looking for Get your nose across that one

Yes it does smell a bit like Fahrenheit but it has a strong patchouli drydown - lasts a long time, leaves a sweet warm fragrance on the skin - it's a really nice one. **UPDATE** Just tried "Pole Position" (not in Fragrantica) and, to me, it's very like DF and it's much cheaper.

Dunhill Fresh is really fresh, manly, aftershave vibe scent. You can feel the green leaves, the smooth mint, the violet and the powdery dry-down. Perfect for hot weather. Longevity and sillage moderate. Another scent only for men from the House of Dunhill.

If you like "clean" scents - you will love Dunhill Fresh... It is all about the "green notes" with this Dunhill fragrance. Out of the bottle, you instantly get the green notes -yes, there are other notes in this fragrance, i.e. amber, floral, vetiver, etc., but it is the green notes that overtake those minor notes are signature for this fragrance. The end result is pleasant fragrance that is easy on the nose. Perhaps you have smelled Swiss Army's "Unlimited" edition - many similarities to this fragrance. (Swiss Army lasts much longer and has garnered many more compliments..) Fresh provides modest longevity, lasting about 6 hours and even longer on my clothing. Projection/sillage is modest at best, settling close to skin level follow two (2) hours of wear. Obviously, geared more toward day wear in Spring and Summer seasons. While I am comfortable wearing any fragrance, I think Fresh is more suited for a younger crowd. Additionally, I will make a more bold statement that this fragrance nears middle of road at being a unisex fragrance. I have smelled a number of niche fragrances deemed unisex that are more masculine than Fresh. Dare to be different - go for it..!! I have about seven (7) Dunhill fragrances in my current collection and I admire the bottling design in each one. Fresh is no different - first class design and the bottle represents high quality and confidence. The price/value is awesome. I just checked current on-line pricing and a large bottle can be purchased for under $30 USD. A great deal... Bottom line - my tally for Fresh is 4.0 stars out of 5.0 stars. While I like it, I am not sure I love it. It smells similar to many fragrances available. If you like clean, fresh showered fragrances, I definitely recommend adding to your collection. If you are a seasoned collector, take a pass on Dunhill's Fresh - it is good, but keep searching for your signature fragrance... Enjoy your day and make it count... Invest your time rather than wasting it...

This is surprisingly nice! I wasn't expecting this to be so nice for such a cheap fragrance. The opening is very green. If the colour green had a scent, this is what it would smell like. Mint gives it a little sweetness, while the basil and sage add more of an aromatic green touch. Once the opening fades the floral and woody notes start to come in and it becomes more soapy and clean. It's not anything particularly different, but it was nice coming off the back of the minty opening. This is definitely a fresh fragrance and it makes it very clear early on. The dry-down is what really surprised me about this. On my skin, at least, the amber and the coumarin really come out and it's surprisingly warm. Woody, spicy and a little bit sweet, it's almost like I was wearing a winter fragrance. I'll have to wait and see how it performs in the Australian summer but at first I think it would be a nice spring scent. The brisk, but fresh opening and clean middle would be great for the longer, sunny but still not completely warm days, and the dry-down very nice for the cooler evenings. It lasts long enough and I only paid 20 AUD for a bottle. How good!

This does have a slight resemblance to Fahrenheit but, not an outright dupe/clone if it. To my nose and as I wear it, it gives me a more similar vibe to Mercedes-Benz & Intense. The Violet here is not as intense or noticeable as in the aforementioned two fragrances yet, it’s present in a background sort of way. To me this also has a bit of the Gucci Guilty Cologne (green juice bottle) herbal accord just that Dunhill Fresh has a sweeter and more floral aspect with a green woods aspect to it that really blends in well. Dress it up or down, office or casual and it works and adapts like a chameleon. Year round worthy with decent longevity with enough nuances to stand out on its own. Not heavy on projection nor silage and it does wear closer to the skin like most Dunhill fragrances. But, that’s not a knock on this to be quite honest. It’s not breaking new ground nor forging a new path but, it has enough on its own to create a distinctive quality & air about it that just works. I found mine for under $20 US and for that price, it’s a steal and a gem.

I got Alfred Dunhill Fresh yesterday along with 150ml. after shave balm. The cap that protects the sprayer is of poor quality, it fell off the second time I used it. The sprayer is ok though and adds a nice amount of liquid. The opening notes reminds me of cucumber/watermelon waterish fresh mint/basil scent. A green scent. These notes continues 1 - 2 hours then slowly fades away and is replaced by a sweeter and very nice appealing drydown. The drydown turns to skinscent after 3-4 hrs. The drydown reminds me of Bois de Vetiver by Karl Lagerfeld - it is a totally different scent than the opening. Very nice - I wish the drydown notes would last longer because they are so appealing. Could be the patchouli/amber kicking in. All in all I like this cheap freshy. Blind summer grab that will not offend anybody.

Nice green, fern like fragrance, natural smelling, like a freshly rained on evergreen forrest. The bottle and colour really do match the juice. It's a clean scent with a understated opening, but it has a balmy heart note and lovely long soapy drydown. Good projection and sound performer. 8 + hours. It's also ridiculously cheap at £14 for a big 100ml bottle, mine had a dodgy cap where the collar kept sticking in the cap, but otherwise a no brainer blind buy. I can't understand the comparison to Doir Fahrenheit. It certainly doesn't remotely resemble the Fahrenheit I remember, altough to be fair I have never sampled Fahrenheit Aqua....maybe they share some similarities? I also think its very contemporary considering it was released nearly 20 years ago!

Was looking for an uncomplicated clean freshie for the coming summer and I chanced upon this at a local chemist with a very affordable price tag that I won’t shed tears if it turns out to be a dud. What a pleasant surprise. It’s not your generic freshie. The mint and basil stop this from getting too floral and add to its uniqueness. I don’t smell any harsh or synthetic note. I read it first came out in 2005 but it doesn’t smell outdated or ‘mature’ at all. Longevity is not an issue; just spray to your skin and shirt. It is not overpowering. I look forward to wearing this and making it part of my summer rotation. And another big plus for me, this is a masculine freshie.

Strong, fresh, and soooo good. This isn't a soapy or citrus kind of fresh. It's herbal, woody, and deeply masculine. It has that gasoline accord that the original formulation of Fahrenheit had. It's not overpowering, just prominent enough to make it distinct. Longevity and sillage are off the charts for me. This stuff does not quit. It lingers on clothes for days. On my skin, I get a good 10-12 hours with moderate projection. It's a safe blind buy if you're already familiar with the its Dior cousin. If you're not, go test Fahrenheit Aqua at Sephora first. It's not a copy by any means, but if you like that, you'll like this and you'll save about $50. You're welcome.

I also noticed a similarity to Fahrenheit, though I thought that was from my amateur nose. Glad I'm not alone there. Fell in love with the woody freshness. Then my second and third bottles were consistently disappointing. Was I expecting too much from an old favorite or was the stock old? The original bottle still smelt better after owning it for so long. Sadly it has turned me off buying this smell again. The nicer things tend to fade quickly. One of the best smells I ever found, pity i don't trust whatever stock would be left. Have to recommend trying it, still, as I'm sure you'll fall in love.

This is good stuff. I get a good 4-6 hours out of this, and it is fresh, green, and the violet comes through giving it some depth. Much different than your typical fresh style frags or citrus based scents which rarely project and all tend to smell similar. If you like Nautica Voyage but want something that is not redundant as I find many citrus colognes all tend to smell similar to Voyage in one way or another, this takes on it's on life. Hidden gem. Good stuff, different than what everyone else is wearing and good.

This to me is more of a Spring/Autumn scent. For Summer, perhaps on a cool and/or breezy day when I'm doing nothing. But on a hot day or active Summer day, I am pretty sure I would regret wearing this. It reminds me of Sung Homme in the sense that it's way more potent than it appears sitting in the bottle. Maybe it's the punch that the floral notes give it. Although I detect an apple-like note reminiscent of the original Nautica Competition, I don't get Nautica Voyage or Sunset Voyage at all.

Simple, fresh, light and casual. It's good, but I'd like it a lot more if it had just a bit more spice and a little less soapy. Since there seems to be a lot of reviewers comparing this to Aqua Fahrenheit, which I also like, I'll throw in my thoughts. On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 smells nothing like it and 10 is an exact copy, Dunhill Fresh is around 2.5. You'd have to take all of the citrus out of Aqua to even get close. I haven't tried other Fahrenheits to make similar comparisons.

Green, fresh and masculine, it has a 90's and 00's vibe, but it's not dated. They say it's very similar to Fahrenheit Aqua, I don't know I haven't tried it, but it smells like a fresh Fahrenheit. In my opinion it is quite underrated, it is affordable, and the bottle is high quality. If you like the smell of new leather shoes, this fragrance is also for you 😁 Very pleasant, fresh and masculine perfume, especially if you like green scents 💚

This is a clean, fresh fragrance that is great for the gym... so the name is apt. I don't imagine it would offend anyone unless the indicated notes are not your jam. You could swap this for Boucheron Singulier in the same application. The good thing about the somewhat weak performance is that you can easily wash it off after working out. It's certainly not a favorite, but if you're looking for a decent cheap scent, this is a good pick.

Dunhill Fresh is a sweet mint with a woody-floral dry down. In the opening I can smell the mint lavender blend with a violet cedar wood undertone. It gets sweeter as it dries with the amber and tonka bean, just a subtle hint of iris. The duality of this fragrance being both green and fresh and contrasting with warm and sweet smelling is fantastic, incredibly smooth smelling! Hidden gem for the men!

I still have some juice in my bottle. It was a gift from my mother. I'm 36 years old now. Surprisingly this still works, doesn't smell old fashioned or outdated. Very fresh mint scent followed by Iris. It does give me some beach vibes. A summer time fragrance. Although I did wear it in winter season as well. Very poor performance though. It just doesn't last nor preject as you would want.

A nice green fresh fragrance. Clean and inoffensive with a woody, patchouli undercurrent that makes it interesting. Some have pigeonholed it as a teenage fragrance, but I disagree. Although it does have a youthful vibe, I can see men of any age wearing it. Definitely seeing it working in the office. Decent longevity. so so sillage.

This one turns vetiver galore on me. Woodsy, soft, a little green, just a tiny bit of the flowers - quite nice actually, clean fresh and safe. Another solid offering from Dunhill - I have to admit I'm impressed. Such a shame they deal in cigarettes, I think they could earn a honest living selling perfumes.

I respect what they tried to do here. But I am afraid it does not work well. It is very harsh and hard to wear. I bought it for sport activities, but even for that, it just does not work. Scent: 4/10 Performance: 6/10 Versatility: 3/10

I own a bottle of Dunhill Fresh. I only wear it during hot summer months, and in the daytime. On my skin, it is VERY potent. After several hours, I can still smell it on myself, and sometimes it gives me a headache.

Been using this for a long time as a summer scent it never let me down it has a strong patchouli dry down which is a bit boring after a long time of usage.. But overall a great summer scent!

This is actually a very pleasant fragrance which I wore in a hot climate to good effect. It is fresh and invigorating. Only later did I discover the creator is a recognized master. 8/10

Fresh fragrance for summer and spring with a touch of cleanliness, nice blend and safe for office use. I rate overall 7/10.

The dry down reminds me of tobacco flower from ( The body Shop )

Dunhill Fresh is a green fragrance that is suitable for those who want a fresh scent that is good to wear at school or work on hot days. Indeed Dunhill Fresh would be great for those warm days if only the performance wasn't so meek. The opening is almost medicinal with coumarin giving an interesting accord. The dry-down is a nice fresh floral scent that brings to mind hand cream or moisturiser. Performance wise Dunhill Fresh has slight projection, consistent with fresh fragrances however the longevity is poor. It barely lasts two hours on my skin. My overall impression is that Dunhill Fresh is a reasonable scent with poor performance. This is the work of perfumer Maurice Roucel, the same perfumer who created Nautica Voyage which is a bit cheaper than Dunhill Fresh, has a better scent profile and much better performance. I rate Dunhill Fresh 3/5.

seems like an average generic fresh scent. this frag along with Police homme made me realize i cannot stand mint. I'll never wear either one again, just can't get past the mint note. burberry PH has been one of my favorite frags for years, but now it's gone down a few notches once i picked up on the mint note. gave my bottle of dunhill fresh to a friend. nice bottle and heavy weighted cap, common with dunhill. dunhill homme/brown (2003/04) is still in my top 3 all time frags, and I'm biased towards the brand. still holding onto a half empty bottle of it from my teens, now that the price has gone up i use it sparingly. but as for dunhill fresh. nothing special, if you bought it, I hope you like mint
