Nolo

#1647 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Got this as a decant from scentsplit.com. I love it. Reminds me of Electimuss “Rhodanthe” but $100 less expensive. No leather, so not really reminiscent of “Tuscan Leather” and “La Yuqawam.” Also the raspberry isn’t all that prominent. Some similarity to Montblanc “Individuel” but so much better on longevity and projection. Versatile for any use in any setting. What’s not to like? Definite buy for me.

When i first smelt Nolo it was like an embrace of pure warmth and comfort, a perfect winter fragrance. It has a cozy beginning with the blend of bergamot raspberry and coriander and with the caramel in the heart of it you get the feeling of being wrapped in an inviting aura. Super lovely fragrance!

Love this fragrance. Delicious beautiful leathery sweet but masculine. It's addictive. Can't get enough of it.

Basically an extremely sheer, polished and potent version of Ombre Leather with an emphasis on the sweet berry opening and woody amber base. That's what the "amber" note is in the base btw. Not the sweet yellow amber accord that many people still associate with the word, but an isopropanolic captive molecule that contributes to the enormity of this fragrance. Beastmode even at 2 full sprays. Fortunately the leather accord masks the spikey woody amber extremely well all the way through the fragrance, making it far more bearable than many others in the genre, albeit somewhat dragging at the 6 hour mark. It's also moderately ashy with a slight nod to cigarette ash wafting off of a brand new leather jacket. Those who grew up with vintage, IBQ-heavy scents like Cabochard might find that part particularly attractive. I think someone also mentioned leather seats in a new car and I agree - the woody amber of course contributing to the chemically-treated feel. But overall, it's certainly got that sugary-woody-amber appeal that's so popular in best selling niche fragrances today, combined with a bit of grunge from the leather accord. Pretty linear too since there's nothing natural about it. Bottle is nice to hold, with a metal collar and heavy metal cap. I personally like the design, as well as the art on the front. Not much else to say other than it lasts well over 24 hours on skin, and well over a week on clothes. Several weeks more like. Projection is nuclear if you spray more than twice and if you decide to layer with it, be careful not to overpower whatever you put on top. It'll layer better than Ombre Leather anyhow; but if you already own something in that style, this may be redundant. Certainly better performing though. Absolutely nothing in common with PdM's Oajan. Scent - 7.5/10 Longevity - 10/10 Projection - 9/10 Overall - 7.5/10
