Jewel

Can't believe this lady has been around since 2005 and we are just now getting acquainted. Let me preface by saying that I don't consider myself any kind of expert, I just know what I like and what I don't. My nose is not so skilled as to read every nuance in a scent, I can only pick out the easily identifiable notes that are familiar to me. At first sniff of this beauty, my first word was "wow", literally. Mostly because of the blast of creamy white floral. She's lovely, but not light, not at first anyway. It settles down pretty quickly to a deep jasmine/ "fluffy" soapy scent. I don't pick up any fruity notes at all, just dreamy white florals, if a bit heavy right out of the gate.The drydown is charming and I am more than happy with this one. It doesn't hurt that the bottle is gorgeous. It smells so familiar, but I just can't recall from where. Trying to remember is giving me a tiny itch in the back of my brain. But I do smell fabulous, so there is that.

This "Jewel" of a fragrance is certainly not what I expected from Alfred Sung! Its beautiful, creamy and uplifting with a tinge of spiciness. The entire note is just harmonious without being linear.....that's the only way I can explain it. And the bottle is completely gorgeous! I am starting to feel that some of these bottles are such works of art it would be hard to get rid of them. I am so satisfied with "Jewel" and think it is my replacement fragrance for "Shi", which my sister bought before I did and I don't want to smell the same way, although we don't live in the same place. Ah! This is my Alfred Sung fragrance, "Jewel" is it. UPDATE: This is so beautiful. I am very pleased with this fragrance. The notes are in harmony and balance. An excellent designer fragrance at an affordable price. I actually did smell the pear in the night time though - so although I love the husky musky coconut during the day I get even more in the nighttime.

I blind bought 3 sung purfumes after falling in love with Pure. Jewel is definitely my 2nd favorite, the opening is loud white floral but the drydown is soft and slightly fruity and creamy white floral . It starts out alot like Shi but Shi has a nice musk in the drydown ... I'm still on the fence about Forever , it's a beast mode floral with a tangy fruity edge. It seems that Sung purfume house has a white floral for every occasion and the performance of the 4 I have is amazing considering the affordable price. I think alfred sung is an underrated house for sure. Update: after letting this purfume settle for a few months it is even more beautiful. I can really smell the orange blossom and neroli in the opening. The sillage is stronger now and it's giving me ellie saab vibes with a soft creamy dry down... It's a love for me, a true jewel in my collection. 10/10

Jackpot! I purchased Jewel on a discount fragrance site in order to get free shipping. My expectations were low because of the price point and I planned on giving the perfume away (I know, that sounds super elitist. I'm getting help). One spray and the decision was made - I will not be gifting this fragrance! It is everything I wanted Maison Margiela Replica Bubble Bath to be for a fraction of the price (and it smells better too). Jewel is slightly fruity, clean, airy, and creamy. The base of coconut and mimosa is gorgeous and makes me feel so happy. While I won't give this bottle away, I probably will purchase more for my sisters. If you're considering this fragrance, just get it. It's not worth paying for a sample when the bottle is so inexpensive. I don't think you'll regret it.

I believe this fragrance is being discontinued. I may have found one of the few available unopened one-ounce bottles to try for the first time. I'm so glad I did. As a person who LOVES frangipani, and who dislikes having delicate notes pounded down by patchouli and woody notes, this fragrance is a real hit for me. If I'd known about it even a year ago, I might have found a larger bottle, so I could have indulged in the occasional overspray. Oh well. I'll savor each application from my tiny little jewel shaped bottle. Love it. Update: Found a bigger bottle at a good price!! Yaay!! 🦋🧡🦋
