Golden Phoenix

This is my favourite Alkemia scent and one of my favourite perfumes ever. A deep, warm ambery sandalwood with incense and a smooth caramel note. Perfect for fall and winter, a bit too heavy for summer. At times, the jasmine tea and citron come out to play and, although I hadn't noticed the anisette note on the skin, it is there when you smell it out of the bottle. I got this in a sample pack and fell in love but it was limited edition so I bought their last two bottles. I'm hoping it lasts me for a very long time! There is another Alkemia scent (not listed on here) called Amour de Ambre which is quite similar but, without the incense note, it's not quite the same thing.

when wet there’s something sour in here. or at least it doesnt work with my skin chemistry. eugh it smells like lapsang souchong, and if you’ve read my previous reviews you know that lapsang specifically is my nemesis in regards to tea. it might be that honey note going sour on my skin again like in kanu y mead. a pity, the notes seemed really nice, but i dont want to walk around smelling like smoked ham. (when i buy perfumes with lapsang in them i never smell it but when i buy a perfume without lapsang in it i get suckerpunched with that smell. just my luck.)
