I wanted to not like this. I am not really fond of the bottling or the labels at this house. It reminds me of Spencer Gifts from the 80's (which I liked). Once again you cannot judge a book by it's cover. This perfume is greatness. It is so well blended. I do detect the civet and oud. Not obnoxious at all, just very well done. I have several perfumes with these notes and this one competes with them all, even the ones at the $200 price point. This is the first composition that I have tried that is TRULY unisex. I mean on the razor's edge of any day/ anybody and you smell great.

I don't get musk from this and the description seems WAY off to me. HOWEVER this is amazing. If you could smell Mother Nature's hair, it would smell like this! A bit vetiver-style smokiness upfront then earth, patchouli, leaves, all in one scent. The primordial forest, from which we emerged, in a bottle. There's a little musk in this, right at the far back, but mostly there's the forest at night in summer.

Animalic oud. The civet accord definitely adds a bit of character, and despite being obviously animalic it's a lot more likeable than I expected. This is really good. Projection seems soft, though.

Deep, dark, earthy, animalic. Emerging from a cave on a forested mountain in total darkness.

Can't smell any musk at all, it's civet on start and harsh oud later, all of it untamed and savage, a warning snarl in a dark forest.
