Prairie 66

I really like this one! It’s a childhood memory in a bottle for me. I grew up in a neighborhood that had a lot of industrial areas at the time, mostly garages and warehouses. When I wear this scent I am skating down a deserted sidewalk in the sunshine, past an auto body shop with its door raised, soapy bubbles running into the gutter. True to its description, I can smell the fake citrus of wax and/or cleaner, the concrete, and even the linden trees that bloomed in June! It’s kind of eerie how clearly it conjured all of this up for me, but I think I would have liked it anyway because I’ve always had a thing for natural-artificial scents. I’m looking forward to wearing it all spring and summer, and maybe buying some new skates.

first whiff i feel like someone shook up a citrus soda and opened it right in front of me and it just like sprayed all over my face, you can quite literally smell the aldehydes in this one. the aldehydes and citrus has a very tingly smell if that makes sense. i think im also getting that concrete note, its weird and unique in a good way and honestly i really like it!! honestly for citrus i think i might prefer it over sadzi.. but i could also layer them and see what happens. i can definitely see myself wearing this in the winter, so i can smell a little sliver of sunshine whenever i take off my coat.

I got this a year ago and set it aside to rest. Totally forgot about it! I just re-discovered it, and after its long rest.... I get tons of soapy aldehydes and hay??? Guessing that is the sage note. If someone told me this was a Hermes Caleche flanker, I'd totally believe them. HUGE longevity & throw. If you love aldehydes as much as I do, this is worth a sniff.

A scent that captures the smell of the open highway, windows down and sun shining. I do smell concrete, rubber,...and soap and citrus too. Conceptually one of the most interesting scents I have tried since, I’m not sure when. Aldehydes are often my nemesis, but here they lift and brighten the composition. The longer I wore it the more intrigued I became. I like Prairie 66 but it ultimately smelled like an auto cleaning supplies to me; like wax and vinyl cleaner.

upon application what i get is pure aldehydes like a half carbonated soda water then dries down to a pleasant detergent like smell especially on fabric smells exactly like fabric softener, if that’s what you’re going for i recommend smells clean, good for summer after 5 hours i can’t smell it on my skin at all, still present on my shirt

I'm not sure this would ever make me think of a highway but if I strain I get a bit of an exhaust smell. To me Prairie 66 smells like a bubbly combination of 7Up and aldehydes when you first put it on, and then it settles into a lovely sunny aldehydic brightness.

After reading many reviews claiming this perfume smells "soapy" I have discovered the key is letting it rest at least a month. Now I am getting much more open highway nostalgia from the scent

This opens with a blast of clean solar aldehydes paired with some fresh aromatic sage. Then you get an almost bubblegummy powdery sweetness paired with some creamy warm florals. The citrus here reads like a soapiness but not in a cleaning products way, more so like clean laundry. This feels like a desert haze, a mirage even. It’s hard to describe what this really smells like but it’s such an alluring smell. The dry down reads more floral with a prominent linden blossom paired with some ambery warmth.

I just can't find any love for it, way too sour on me. It took a year to develop the concrete note.

Smells a lot like Center of the Universe from the same house to me

Was very excited for this one but on me, at least, it smells exactly like portable toilet cleaner.

smells like valentines conversation hearts - powdery, vageuly flavored, not very sweet candy. if I really shove my nose in it I smell the concrete and sage. the citrus concrete and sage come together to sort of smell like fragranced bleach. the spontaneous wafts smell powdery, the up close smell is cleaning products. not great, not disgusting. once it dries down it kind of smells like dryer sheets.

this smells exactly like dove soap
