Road to Hana

I lived in Hawaii in the 90s and was looking for an olfactory reminder of this time. Whilst not completely capturing all of Hawaii's greenery, it did a good job with bringing its ginger to life. It is fresh with ginger and some tea as well as some other green note. I look forward to wearing this in the warmer months.

This is an initial review on a sample I got. It is about 3 weeks after its last flight, but I will test it again in the future and update this as needed. The scent is quite bright and almost fruity to me. I don't really get any ginger, which is a disappointment. It seems that there's some fruity and floral notes in this one that are not listed. But again, keep in mind that this is an initial review based on a couple of on-the-skin tests. Not a full wearing, and it may need more rest. UPDATE: Another wearing determines that this is just not for me. There is a strength to the ginger flower that takes over the whole thing and is headache inducing. On the plus side, if you like it, the performance is great! In the drydown there is a strange metallic note that sort of covers up anything other than the flowers. It's a definite no for me. So many amazing scents from this house though.
