Seven Watermelon Suns

This is so strange and wonderful! Another love from a recent sample pack. I'll DEFINITELY be buying more samples to try, and I think I need a bottle of this one. So watermelon is absolutely the star, but there is something spicy, that I'm attributing to the poppy and datura as well as the fig. And there's an animalic loveliness from the musk. The leather comes through the SLIGHTEST bit during the development. But this is so great for someone who is bored by most watermelon scents! Definitely not basic!

Love this. The leather note in this gives this scent a powdery suede feel. To my nose it smells like a slightly powdery watermelon jelly rancher. It's not overly sweet tho. It's really a nice scent and I agree with ptilda, not a boring basic watermelon scent. Nice for summertime. On the downside; It goes to a skin scent rather quickly, doesn't project longevity is ok, maybe 5 hrs. Still very pretty and unique considering how inexpensive it is. Still a love.

This scent freaked me out and made me think I had COVID. If I hadn't read the reviews below, I would have driven to go get a test. Seriously, the opening sticks around for about 2 minutes before fading into majorly "meh" musk territory. Shorter longevity than most Alkemias, sticking around for a grand total of 2 hours before becoming completely undetectable. Alkemia has some bangers, but this ain't it, chief.

When I tried this, I got all of one minute of watermelon before it faded into a powdery musk. If you're looking for juicy and fresh fruit to stick around, Seven Watermelon Suns isn't going to do that. The fresh musk isn't unpleasant, but it has nothing to do with watermelon whatsoever.

This might be my absolute least favorite in my collection of samples. I was absolutely repulsed by Seven Watermelon Suns. I do not give this out lightly. While I am a fan of cutesy notes like watermelon, I am not so big on leather, so I am assuming the latter, or maybe in combination with Alkemia's strong signature musk, did not react well with my chemistry. I found this quite fecal; perhaps this was exaggerated by the watermelon scented kid's bathroom wipes we had when I was growing up. The main notes together smelled like emptying a bathroom trash can filled with the soiled product, followed by unsuccessfully trying to cover up the odor with some cucumber hand sanitizer. In typical fashion, I couldn't seem to scrub the frag off either.

Ptilda's review piqued my interest in Seven Watermelon Suns. Upon a small dab on my wrist, I am greeted with the juiciest watermelon Jolly Rancher. Before SWS turns into an Escada scent, something very spicy comes in. It feels like red-hot cinnamon spice. The watermelon and spice settle down rather quickly and SWS has a very long "spicy" heart accord that remains that way for an hour. Eventually, SWS becomes an earthy, powdery sweet musk. A stunning, unique fragrance. However, if I was given the chance to sample this, I don't think I would have purchased the 5ml oil. However, it'll be a wonderful scent to apply on a whim.

I'm very interested in trying this, but I know I won't be able to afford the "new" price - I'm on a strict budget. If anyone is wanting to part ways with theirs, I'd love to buy yours - PM me to sell or swap! (:

I like this one. Watermelon + Leather. Those are the notes I smell. So unique!! And it works! This one doesn't carry the longevity that others from Alkemia do, but it's still lasts a good 3-5 hours for me.

I love the watermelon rind and cucumber opening. After that it becomes candy sweet mixed with doll skin musk, which is pleanty pleasant but can't compare to the amazing opening.
