Supernatural

I adore this fragrance. What stands out most is this creaminess that is truly addictive. Also, I like that it leans on the sweeter side. Although there is nothing in the notes that would suggest vanilla, I would believe you if you told me this was supposed to be a sweet creamy vanilla. It's not a gourmand though; there are some other rather unusual (but enjoyable) notes I can't quite place which make this not smell edible. The sweetness makes me feel this is more of a feminine scent, but not overly so. It's very seductive and intriguing. Longevity and projection are not crazy but they are certainly good, no issues there. It's quite potent and could almost be a little too heavy at times, so you don't need to use much. Overall, I would strongly recommend! I have already gifted this and it was loved by the recipient as well. It's crowd-pleasing while still being unique.

Supernatural by Alkemia is all about a little. The woodiness is just a little dusty. The musks have just a little sweetness. The dustiness is very understated and comes off almost like a cereal like rice or flour. In tandem with the faint sweetness, as many other reviewers have noted, the fragrances smells like a baked good. For me it reminds me of Baekselogi, but most likely for others it will come off as whatever "just a little sweet" treat you grew up with. The musks are slightly leathery, the ambroxan slightly metallic, and the ISO-E Super a little woody. All 3 of these facets work extremely well with the gourmand nuances as these are all materials one would find at a dinner table. This is a very balanced scent that I believe can work for any situation, a great dumb reach.

Supernatural doesn't remind me of any other perfumes with iso e super, but it *does* remind me of cashmere, and I love cashmere. The other strong note for me is musk, another comforting and familiar friend. While I can and do wear this on its own, I find it works hardest as a layering scent. It makes the perfect base for just about anything you can think of. So smooth and golden, it's warm without being stifling, sweet without being sugary, and just on the edge of familiar without being a one-to-one gourmand or straight musk. That's what gives it its name I guess, that sparkling, mysterious element that makes it Supernatural (probably the iso e that I claim I can't smell, lol).

This somehow manages to smell like nothing in particular but also like there's definitely something there... Like if a musky vanilla, almonds, and sunscreen got together and thought really, really hard in my general direction. Something approaching those scents but not quite there yet and maybe a bit to the left. I kind of love it, it blends so well with my skin's scent that it comes off like I just naturally smell very nice.

This smells amazing. It's vanilla, musk, amber, a touch of something aquatic and salty, and wood. My mom swears she can smell a grass-like scent in it. It really smells perfect on me: warm but fresh, sweet without being overpowering, and generally just really comforting. I'm on my way to buy an entire bottle.

Mostly, what I get is vanilla. This smells like the way a fresh bottle of cream soda tastes, but in the best way. It's kind of like a gourmand scent, like frosting but much better. It's a vanilla scent you could wear in warm weather, it doesn't come off heavy, sugary, or like something you'd want to eat.

Initial impression: This smells like a bowl of sliced cucumbers and watermelon topped with sweet cream. Iso E Super alone tends to smell woody and aquatic on my skin. This is the case with Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume on me. However, the addition of Tonkin and Ambrox and the mysterious aromamolecules offers a more rounded scent. It’s minimal, fresh, creamy, and semi-sweet. I’m still testing this one out, because I’m on the fence here. It lingers for quite a long time and definitely wafts intermittently throughout the day. On me, the Tonkin which eludes to a synthetic tonka really pushes forward with a creamy, sweet facet, that other single molecule fragrances lack. Not my favorite from the 17 samples I tested, but an easy wear for those that don’t want to smell too complex, a minimal inoffensive option for office wear or for an outdoor picnic.

I'd never have picked this out on my own (it was a random sample added to my order), but I'm glad it was because it's great. On me, Supernatural is floral-sweet and powdery with a bit of a light green herbal note. Despite that description, it's definitely unisex, maybe even masculine-leaning unisex. Super long lasting and powerful, as Iso E Super often is, and a nice second-skin kind of scent.

This is a strong "like." On me it smells very smooth. Like the smoothest coconut vanilla, sun-tan accord. Does not project as much as I would like though. I wonder if a high intensity version of this would be better? I have tried a lot of Alkemia scents, but only a few have stood out to me as favorites. This one could be up there.

Very strong scent, but not overpowering, but my family could smell a trail throughout the house. It smells so clean and sweet - hard to describe, slight musk, creamy, and mildly aquatic/salty?

Started off like an almond cookie, then I noticed both a watery and woody quality for a little while, and finally faded into a gentle, pleasant sweetness.

Kind of undulates like a kaleidoscope. Musky and a little bit sweet but light. Stays warm and fresh at the same time. Manages to be comforting & inviting without being smothering. I could still smell it after about five hours but just barely.

Not a bad fragrance. To be frank, it’s not what I expected at all. At the beginning, it smells like a bath and body Works fall scent, almost like a sugar cookie mixed with fresh linen. After the fragrance has dried and set in a little bit, the true scent comes out. It’s very heavy on the musk, a sweet and gentle musk. The iso e super and ambroxan almost undetectable to me. I know that these two notes aren’t sellable to everyone, but these are two of my favorite notes, and I can smell them in many other perfumes. For the low price, I think it’s a good fragrance, but nothing crazy or anything to write home about. There are other fragrances from this brand that are better.

Ambrox always smells like New Car Smell on me. I hate it. Or, more accurately, it hates me. Somehow I thought this one would be different. It was not. I'm reading all these other reviews, and I'm so so jealous. I feel the same about Juliette Has A Gun's Not A Perfume, or Escentric Molecules' Molecule 02. I wish this smelled like a tropical beach, or warm vanilla, or sliced fruit and cream on me. But no, it smells like one of those New Car Smell air fresheners. It's terrible. And it lasts forever. If you don't like the way ambrox smells on you, then I assure you, you will not like this.

amber-y, almond extract, sugar cookies, I don’t like food scents but this is very nice, addicting - I keep smelling my wrist. It quiets down a bit but doesn’t change a ton

I don’t know how to describe this, but I know I love it. The closest I can get is skin musk with a touch of coconut milk, but that’s much too simple.
