Vamp

To me, it's an Oriental category fragrance with a strong vintage feel. So, exactly what they were going for, I think. I love Oriental fragrances, and especially vintages, so it's one of my favorite Alkemia fragrances I've sampled so far. It lingers quite a while and gradually develops that "dregs in the bottom of a vintage bottle" vibe in the drydown.

I feel like this is a modern take on popular vintage notes - it has the vibe of a vintage scent, but it's mostly light and sweet due to tonka and some opium instead of heavier labdanum and suedes. Can't feel any balsam fir at all. Overall very nice and non-challenging.

Had my bottle of Vamp a fair few years, I don't think alkemia was even listed on Fragrantica. It still smells okay, but I think now my time is limited with this scent. I loved it, then I didn't. I stored it as I bought this at the beginning of my perfume hobby i was so unsure about perfume back then. Now it's back to my chemistry accepting it now. One of the notes due to age is a little off I get the balsamic though but the dry down is sweeter (not gourmand btw.) Decent sillage and 4 to 6 hours longevity. I'll probably not finish the bottle but I like the 20s vibe to it,it is decadent which is something I'm not. The off note due to age I suspect smells like old lipstick. Not unpleasant though.

A nice fragrance. Would be perfect for Fall or Winter. It is difficult to tell exactly what I am smelling would like to have it broken down by note. A nice, smooth, more masculine fragrance. It is brown in color and oil based so be careful where you spray it. After a few hours it is still going fairly strong. There is more of a sweet smell now with it.
