SILENT RAIN by Almost Human Of Rain and the Forgotten Places “Rainy weather is the weather of the soul.” — Fernando Pessoa, The Book of Disquiet Silent Rain by Almost Human (Extrait de Parfum, 2026; crafted by Goran Bajazetov) opens not with rain itself, but with its premonition — the echo of thunder receding into distance, the air still trembling with what has just passed. The first inhalation is ozonic and faintly citrus-lit, like an atmosphere rinsed clean by electricity, a sky scrubbed of excess. I find myself walking through an empty city as autumn asserts its quiet dominance: leaves plastered against wet stone, colours bleeding into one another, summer withdrawing without resistance. Rain continues to fall — steady, unrelenting — as if the world has accepted its own slowing pulse. Ahead rises the old library, monumental and severe, its façade darkened by centuries of weather. Pointed arches loom overhead, their stone softened and pitted by time, rainwater tracing fine lines along carved reliefs like tears from the grey heavens. Gargoyles crown the roofline, mouths gaping, releasing rivulets of water that cascade rhythmically onto the flagstones below. Wrought iron gates stand ajar, singing softly as rain strikes their rusted filigree. Silent Rain captures this moment perfectly: cold stone, wet metal, air heavy with ozone and history, the kind of place where knowledge once ruled unquestioned and now lingers only as an echo. The heart of the fragrance unfolds as I step beneath the shelter of the library’s vaulted entrance. Here, the scent turns inward, growing dense and contemplative. Old books exhale their secrets; mildew, damp parchment, ink softened by decades of humidity, the slow, dignified decay of paper that has held too much knowledge for too long. Incense burns somewhere unseen, resinous and dry, threading itself through the moisture-laden air like the last ritual still observed by no one in particular. And then, impossibly, music: Arvo Pärt’s Spiegel im Spiegel, spinning quietly on an antique gramophone, each note suspended like a raindrop that refuses to fall. I wander between towering shelves, my coat still dripping, droplets darkening the stone floor beneath my steps. Love poems swollen with age, novels sagging under their own narratives, grimoires etched with fading sigils, an old, moth-eaten Bible whose pages smell of dust, doubt, and devotion in equal measure. The roof leaks; water stains bloom across the ceiling like slow-moving constellations. Knowledge here is not preserved — it is dissolving gently, surrendering itself to time with a kind of melancholic grace. A subdued florality weaves through the heart, never bright, never ornamental. Rain-fed lilies and violets bloom unseen somewhere beyond the walls, their scent drifting inward — cool, slightly sweet, faintly funerary. It feels like a floral offering laid not for the dead, but for the idea of knowledge itself. Silent Rain balances damp paper, rain, incense smoke, and this muted floral breath with remarkable restraint, never tipping into bitterness or excess. Instead, it remains hushed, reverent, almost sacred. As evening descends, the fragrance enters its final act. Gaslights flicker alive along the walls, glowing without hands to light them, casting ghostly reflections across the wet stone floor. The perfume softens and draws closer to the skin, becoming musky, warm, and quietly enveloping; as though the building itself has accepted me as part of its silence. Damp earth emerges beneath it all, loamy and mineral, faintly floral, the scent of rain sinking deep into soil and stone alike. Silent Rain no longer smells like a place you are visiting; it smells like a place that has taken you in. What impresses me most is the perfume’s sense of presence. It shifts subtly; stone to paper, paper to skin, without ever breaking its spell. This is rain as atmosphere, rain as emotion, rain as memory. It belongs among the rare fragrances that capture rain-soaked interiors and the beauty of the eerie, forgotten places, haunted by a profound melancholy. On skin, it wears with quiet authority. Projection and sillage are moderate to strong, forming an introspective aura rather than a declaration, and longevity reaches a solid eight hours, lingering longest in fabric and memory. Completely unisex, deeply contemplative, this is a perfume for solitary walks, grey afternoons, and moments when silence feels like a companion rather than an absence. At €165, it offers extraordinary value, not just as a fragrance, but as an experience. Almost Human, this ultra-niche house from Novi Sad, Serbia, announces itself here not with noise but with authority. Silent Rain feels like a cornerstone — a perfume that suggests a future built on substance rather than spectacle. I bought a bottle yesterday, and I find myself returning to my wrist not for pleasure alone, but for grounding, as though this scent reminds me that beauty often lives where things are fading, not where they are new. My sincere thanks to Memoire for introducing Almost Human to the Croatian public, and for placing this quiet, rain-soaked, Gothic masterpiece in my hands.

I’ve spent half my life in tattoo shops and the other half outdoors, and Silent Rain is the first fragrance that actually manages to bridge those two worlds without feeling forced. I cracked open my discovery set today.. perfectly fitting for it was nothing but grey skies and relentless rain, and as I drove along the beachfront, this scent became the perfect soundtrack to the weather. It is an absolute mood setter. The second it hits your skin, you’re hit with that unmistakable atmosphere of a tattoo parlor—the sterile edge, the ink, that sharp industrial chill. It might be the wet concrete or the petrichor notes, but it’s a raw, masculine grit that feels completely ingenious. As it settles, the scent begins to breathe and freshen up, shifting into a warm, earthy green that feels like steam rising off hot asphalt after a downpour. It doesn't try too hard to be pretty; it stays true to its roots while capturing that weirdly calm moment when a storm finally breaks. It is punchy, atmospheric, and honestly left me a bit lost for words. If you want something that smells like real life and raw memory rather than a laboratory, this is it. It’s simple, it’s bold, and it’s incredible.

Rainy weather and a sunny day at the same time. Wet concrete from the rain drying after a shower fell over the old and abandoned playground where we used to play there. An ozonic scent that has a vibe and energy that travels through the past of my once playful childhood days with that mud on it and happiness that had no end. A scent that can penetrate deep into memory and evoke an emotion that evokes memories of the joy of freedom as a child. A very gentle scent but still so strong that it leaves behind something that always makes you want to sniff it again and again and feel that bliss and the childish joy of winning in a fair play game. This is, so to speak, a masterpiece of a sophisticated scent and a creation that has depth, that has a soul. This is not something you wear just to get a nice compliment, but precisely to awaken your emotion and turn the memory into reality. Masterpiece 🤌

This is my top 5 all time! It bugs my mind how realistic it smells like. If you love the smell of wet concrete and dirt after rain this is for you as it can't get any closer than this. You can say that this give gothic vibes as well, spray it 2 times and the room you enter will change the atmosphere. Projection wise it's one of the rare ones that won't leave my nose space area i can smell it for hours. If you love walking after rain this is for you as you can pocket this feeling and bring it with you anywhere and anytime you go. This is a hidden gem and something i am really glad i found out.

The perfect petrichor. Almost Human has created a masterpiece with Silent Rain. It is incredibly photorealistic, capturing that "rain on dry earth" essence better than anything else I have tried. Great performance and longevity, which is rare for this kind of olfactory profile. 10/10 and a must-have for anyone seeking atmospheric scents. It evokes deep, personal memories for me. Pure art and exceptional quality. It has easily become one of my all-time favorites.

A rainy, Gothic scent, like an overcast, grey, rainy day at an abandoned place, an old church or a graveyard. Nothing solar or summery here, just rain and a profound sense of melancholy it brings. I smell ozone, violet leaf, violets, petrichor and a damp rainy accord. This is truly niche and an underrated Gothic masterpiece.

The most realistic rain scent ever. I would only use one word - art. This is a nostalgic fragrance, you were a kid and summer rain started. Everything is wet, rain is evaporating from the hot asphalt, soil and grass. Definitely try it, you won't regret it.

This smells really good, It reminds me of the smell before the rain comes, or the first few minutes of the rain. The smell doesn’t change from initial spray, it lasts longer than I expected.. Even on my skin.. I’m pretty impressed

very deep green, mossy, and earthy, it's surprising how much it reminds me of rainy weather, mainly when it rains in a deep forest and you can smell the earth getting wet, releasing the scent of grass, roots, and rotten leaves I don't really get a concrete note, maybe if you really look for it and imagine an abandoned concrete path in the middle of a rainy forest, but the main thing you get is moist earth and chlorophyll. it's crazy how it evolves, almost like seeing the passage of time, the opening is like being caught in a downpour in a forest, then on the dry down the rain stops and the sun comes out in the most majestic way, where you can see the rays passing through the tall trees, capturing that sudden silence you get right after the rain stops and before birds starts singing it's honestly quite photorealistic, Coven by Andrea Maack levels of realism, and I actually like this more than Coven, it's super nice, well made, balanced, and beautiful, and I really appreciate how it evolves, to me, it's not really something I would wear personally, but I can definitely see this being a signature fragrance for the right person

Not what I expected going into this, but I ended up liking it a lot. It’s a dark - autumn rain in an abandoned building and definitely not the airy, moist smell of concrete after summer rain that I imagined before trying it. I’m most of all getting a very photorealistic, heavy soil note - exactly like dry ground that was rained on, a little mossy and musky with a masculine quality to it. After fading a few hours you can actually smell the solar and green notes. Really well done, but despite the overwhelmingly positive reviews I recommend sampling first to smell it for yourself

my first thought when i smelled it was the navity scene placed in a cold, old, damp church where you can smell black mold in some areas. personally, i wouldn't call it a rainy scent, more like moldy hay left somewhere to decompose type of scent

Anyone know where I might procure a bottle of this in the US? Hit me up. I need to smell like wet soil lol
