French Coffee

My wife and I love this fragrance. Sometimes I just like to spray it into a room, especially when we are about to brew some coffee, to heighten the anticipation while the machine clicks and whirs and hisses and begins to disperse its beautiful coffee aroma too. Sometimes I just spray it anyway. It is very realistic. I also enjoy spraying it onto my wrist and then enjoy smelling it frequently over several hours; after about 45 minutes the intense coffee aroma subsides and the chocolate and the brandy and the sweetness all come out to play and it smells even more deliciously gorgeous. There is nothing else like it in my experience. We were fortunate to see the square bottle with the big coffee bean lid sealed and for sale on Ebay. The bottle looks better in the flesh, having a metallic look to the paint.

THIS SCENT IS FOR LAYERING!! If you want a photorealistic coffee, it doesn't get more authentic than this. First spritz is like black coffee with Bailey's, it's SO boozey. But it quickly dries down into a much more pleasant, freshly ground coffeebean smell. Pretty good by itself imo, eapecially if you're a coffee lover, albeit very strong (2 sprays is enough). However, combined with something else it can be elevated to totally heavenly. Today I'm wearing it with Khamrah Qahwa because I wished the coffee in Qahwa was a little stronger. And holy wow, it's just great. I think you could pair French Coffee with whatever and smell like your choice of expensive coffee drink. Can't help thinking it would illuminated something with lavender. I'll be using the hell out of it.

This is the ONLY coffee scent I’ve tried that actually has a bitter, black coffee note. For that alone, I love it. On open, it smells like Kahlua. Very alcoholic, very coffee liquor. It dries down to a sweet, laconic? coffee scent, kind of like if you spilled one of the bottled Starbucks frappes. This is definitely not for everyone, but if you were also frustrated with every “coffee” scent drying down to a plain old vanilla or caramel, this one is worth a try. I cannot emphasize enough that it’s not black coffee — however! It’s about as close as I’ve gotten in a perfume, and the sweetness is tolerable. Would probably be stunning layered with something like Initio Side Effect or Killian Intoxicated.

the epitome of kopiko coffee jellys. no, seriously, i love this perfume. it delivers on what it promises, however, it's very also unique, and got me quite off guard when i first smelled it. this has 2 notes to it that i smell however, very very simple. coffee, and toffee. and that's it. it's VERY strong though, and i don't really see the right occasion where you can wear this. i wanted this to be my school signature scent badly, but it's just way too offensive for school. however, don't let that disencourage you from buying this ! it's only 15 dollars, and it will last you quite a while (at least in the oil version) so i would say it's worth it.

I've been wanting to try out this scent for quite a while and got the 50ml bottle. At first I felt like it was "dusty" but I eventually came to like it after the first few wears. It pairs nicely with chocomusk and my vanilla body mists. It doesn't last long on the skin but can last for almost two days on my clothes, which is expected from arab perfumes. I'll definitely repurchase the 100ml bottle since I like this scent. Although I can't say it's a safe blind buy. The price was decent for the 50ml bottle, the larger one is a bit more expensive. It's good to wear during the day, regardless of whether it's hot or cold.

Let’s cut to the chase, this is a hyperrealistic coffee scent. It opens with an intense blast of coffee and gradually settles into a creamy aroma, where you can distinctly detect the milk and sugar within it. There’s really only one question to ask: do you want to smell like a cup of coffee? If your answer is no, then this isn’t for you. But if your answer is yes, then for less than $8, this fragrance is unbeatable. I really like it. It smells exactly as advertised, it’s strong, lasts a decent amount of time, and is incredibly affordable. For all those reasons, I’d give it a solid 7.5/10.

I have this in the rollerball perfume oil and I love it. Its the most realistic coffee scent I own. A strong, rich coffee, with a dash of cream, slightly sweetened... its actually delicious. This layers beautifully with cafe latte/ cream velvet / Tiramsiu Caramel, it adds depth and enhances sweet, creamy perfumes. For less than €5, you can create new fragrances with the perfumes you already own... Great layering combos... highly recommend to add to your collection, especially if you love gourmand fragrances. It will be phenomenal in the Autumn and Winter 👌

A huge coffee / burnt caramel hit ! Just like eating a coffee cake with buttercream icing, but not too sweet or sickly. I love Al Rehab oils, I've been buying them for years & this little treasure did not disappoint. Great Autumn/Winter fragrance to make you feel warm and cosy on a cold overcast day..... I will also try layering with some sweeter gourmands as I think that would work really well too. I would say this is is suitable for day or night and is unisex (my husband loves it too). Buy it and give it a try, it's so cheap you can't go wrong! 🎂☕😋

This is COFFEE. It's strong vanilla espresso at first, then it dries down to a sweet milky latte. I am impressed how it can go the gamut of different coffee types, but honestly, the longer you wear it, the milkier it gets I would like to shake the hand of the person who created this scent. They don't follow my particular coffee drinking, but going from harsh espresso at the application (with a touch of sweetness) to the gorgeous milky latte on the latter notes, someone knew what they were doing, and it is beautiful and I love it

beautiful pure coffee fragrance smells of grinded up coffee beans with the smallest amount of vanilla so its not a bitter scent and although I prefer to layer it with a warm vanilla scent you could wear it alone but I recommend layering, perfect for the colder seasons. on my body the scent projects nicely I can smell it on myself when im moving around if youre buying this thinking its gonna smell like a vanilla latte based on the notes listen you'll be disappointed its mainly dark coffee scent

i have the rollerball oil version and it is INCREDIBLE! an insanely realistic caramel latte scent and i mean insanely realistic — it smells like the literal drink was dropped on me. obsessed is too light of a word!!! it has a fairly linear performance (the smell starts as it finishes) and the longevity is a lot less remarkable compared to ‘soft’ by the same perfume house but nonetheless, cheap and cheerful is the main takeaway here and it’s a must-have if you’re into sweet coffee scents ☕️🤎

A very realistic coffee fragrance. It smells like you’re entering into a coffee shop and order a caramel latte with an extra shot of espresso. Super yummy and realistic. This is so long lasting on my skin and clothes (like 8+ hours)... it projects so well for about 3 hours, and it leaves a beautiful scent trail for hours. French Coffee is truly a hidden gem FYI THE NOTES ON FRAGRANTICA ARE WRONG. Notes: Coffee, Sugar, Cacao, Milk, Cinnamon, Vanilla & Musk

This fragrance is pure gourmand delightfulness. I'm a BIG lover of coffee and to me this smells just like a delicious complex coffee latte with milk and cocoa and spices and whipped cream. It isn't a straightforward scent per se, it's surprisingly complex but I really enjoy that about it. Genuinely I just can't stop sniffing my wrist with this on. It's very realistic smelling, in my opinion. If you LOVE coffee, don't skip this one!

It smells like a rich espresso when you first spray it, and I cant get enough of it. I adore it. After several hours, it does wear down to something very sweet, with almost all of the coffee/espresso scent gone, and thats when you get into the other notes. It lasts a long time and can be pretty strong. I'm not personally a fan of how it wears down, but it's sooo good for the first bit. You won't like this if you don't love coffee.

I was not expecting great things from this due to the price (I have it in perfume oil form) but it just arrived today, and I smelled it the second I took the box out of the bubble wrap. Oh my gosh. It smells really good. I'll admit it smells a little cheap but like a coffee with maybe a little too much vanilla syrup, however I do like vanilla so I don't mind that at all. I layered Mod vanilla on top of this and I am in love. 7/10.

I have the rollerball Oil version. Its a very realistic coffee, quite strong and almost bitter to begin with but that quickly dries down into something more Latte-like, with hints of vanilla and creamy caramel vibes. Its pretty mellow for most of the wear and I find it fades a bit quicker than Choco musk and Soft but still excellent value considering the extremely cheap price for a 6ml bottle.

Very good gourmand cheapie, coming from someone who usually shuns gourmands. It does not smell like black coffee, nor does it smell like ground coffee or beans, unless you are used to those flavored coffee grounds. I get a sweet, artificial caramel note over the coffee, not too far off from the bottled Starbucks caramel frappuccinos that you can buy at every gas station.

had the oil version of this and I'm not even kidding when I say it was one of the best scents ever and I loved it loved it loved it but I haven't seen my beloved bottle since the last weekend and I've come to accept that I lost it and now I have no idea where to get a new one since I live in EU and I'm rambling because I'm so upset and kinda want to cryyyyyyyy

It was a blind buy, I read reviews everywhere and nobody told me how much cocunut was in this! It may just be me that smells a heavy amount of cocunut so that was a surprise. The cocunut is not sunscreeney at all its a gourmand cocunut for sure. It's lovely, really I just think everyone should know you'll smell as much cocunit as you do coffee

so SO cozy, despite it being a coffee scent I wear it to bed all the time instant latte coffee + caramel/milk candies + a LOT of buttery popcorn popcorn becomes really strong in warmer weather, in winter it's a latte, in summer it's 50/50 latte and non-salted non-sugared popcorn. one of my fav gourmands out there, really well mixed on my skin

A chocolately, coffee scent. It is yummy and very photo-realistic. This is fun. It was affordable and has been a comforting and fun experience to wear. Throw out that choco-musk mess if you have it and grab this instead. Or skip them both. I love it but I don't plan to repurchase. I would enjoy a richer, boozy coffee frag over this one.

This is probably best for layering, I wouldn't wear it alone. It's very coffee forward, and so may not be appealing to everyone. But it pairs really well with most lactonic perfumes. I'd recommend pairing it with La Parfum Galleria's Narsiss (white) and Qaed al Fursan by Lattafa. These three are a power combo made in perfume heaven.

this smells like a creamy coconut frappuccino with an extra shot of espresso and I am OBSESSED with it. this is what I wished and hoped sabrina carpenters me espresso smelled like. or britney spears discontinued gem private show that i went to great lengths to obtain. lovely lovely gourmand coffee scent.

I absolutely love this fragrance! It reminds me so much of Khamrah Qahwa except without the "Khamrah". I don't like the OG Khamrah and the coffee note in Khamrah Qahwa is the main difference so I decided to just try a coffee fragrance on its own and BINGO. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I love it. I am sorry but i can not agree with the negative reviews at all - it is a perfect coffee gourmand and delicious fragrance. It's creamy, laconic and sweet smelling scent. I get all of the notes. It does not smell anything cheap and synthetic at all! 10/10 from me!

Everybody smells something different with this one! Interesting. I still really really like it, in fact it's grown on me over time to become a moderate favorite. You're never going to know if you'll like it or not based on reviews, but thankfully it does come very cheap.

i’m probably becoming too used to this. i’ve been wearing it practically every day since i bought it. the oil is like a pure coffee scent, whereas the EDP spray is something a bit more complex that is ideal for fans of Choco Musk. delicious and perfect for layering.

What took them so long to enter this? This is a comforting cup of hot cocoa spiked with a shot of Kahlua with vanilla wafers at the side. Sillage is overkill with 2 sprays, lasts 10+ hours. Room killer performance for over 6 hours.

So economical. The initial spray is that strong fakey coffee so avoid a quick sniff BUT THEN it falls into a softer smoother warm creamy gourmand. I've been looking for a creamy vanilla (warm) and this fits my needs.

After 4-6 weeks of maceration, most of the bitterness has gone away. This perfume has a very realistic coffee with caramel and hazelnut notes. I really enjoy this fragrance and love to layer with other fragrances.

Sharp caramel coffee. Awesome at first sniff. I am definitely gonna let this sit for a bit tho to see what happens. This is definitely gonna be my wildcard fragrance for those times where I want to smell unique!

I love this smell. I am a coffee scented lover and this is perfect. It's not too bitter and more sweet leaning but not overly sweet. Perfect for layering and the colder months! For $8 you can't beat this.

This is very gourmand! I like the coffee opening then turns in to creamy caramel in the dry down. It makes me feel warm and cozy last a while too and not expensive to buy in Dubai.

i wear this on top of madinah from al haramain and it smells as if im in a posh cafe sipping on my espresso with a vase of fresh rose nearby. its my own version of heaven lol

Yes, cheap. Poor longevity and projection but the best real coffee fragrance I’ve encountered. I do not mind to reapply a thousand times. Will forever repurchase.

Strong coffee scent with a lot of caramel and sugar to sweeten it. Honestly reminds me of coffee candies more than actual coffee, but I love it nonetheless.

Really solid scent that I enjoy on those cold days but for me it’s more of a scent that’s relaxing/comforting and not one I’d wear to be attractive. This opens up with a very strong dark roasted coffee note that’s very realistic although admittedly slightly harsh. It stays like that for about 45 minutes before it starts to dry down and the vanilla , caramel notes come out making this more of a vanilla coffee with milk type of smell. It stays like this but as it dries down it goes more in the milky/creamy direction and you lose that initial black coffee smell you get in the opening . Performance on this is excellent! For the first hour this is very loud and almost beast mode projection but the sillage is beast mode for sure. It does last 10-12 hours but is a skin scent after 2 hours Overall rating -7 out of 10 ! A great scent but where this loses points is the wearability as it’s a nice scent but I only see for this occasion so want to relax. (If you want a more wearable,appealing coffee scent I’d go with Coffee Break )

Ok wait hear me out...I got this as a giveaway winner and was actually looking for a coffee fragrance- perfect! From first spray to last skin scent it stays the same all notes present-- very linear which I don't mind at all. What the total surprise is that I get strong buttered popcorn! Maybe a hint of coffee which I think my mind is tricking me into smelling since the name is French Coffee. If I didn't know that I would swear this is the perfume version of EOS Caramel Cashmere which is straight up buttered caramel popcorn. Anyone else get this? My teen son blind smelled on me and said he got buttered popcorn too so its not just me. I will enjoy playing around to layer with other things-- I actually like that I have it in my collection. Still looking for a good coffee scent. This stuff lasts forever and you can't beat the price. I would recommend as a low risk investment but DO NOT expect coffee...all buttered caramel corn for me. :)

Honestly I was scared to try it (It’s a blind buy) surprisingly, I really like this perfume. I thought I will hate it like « eternal coffee » by Paris Corner, which btw, was the nastiest perfume I’ve ever smelled... It’s the FIRST fragrance I can smell MILK in ! But it also smells like: Creamy dark coffee, cup of coffee and cup of milk (next to it), sweet sugary coffee, coffee powder. (It’s only me) I never recognize caramel scent in fragrances so I don’t really know if there is. Sadly, I also had to agree /disagree with the negative reviews: It does smell like synthetic coffee and coffee liqueur... But I disagree to « It’s unwearable ». It fades into a very soft and spicy vanilla cinnamon with a light note of coffee. So yes, 100% wearable, very synthetic, didn’t stop me from enjoying it, but can be impossible to enjoy for some and I fully understand it.

It definitely smells better than the last "coffee" fragrance I tried, ("Coffee Cloud" by Good Chemistry), but still isn't giving what I hoped for. I smell coffee, vanilla, caramel. It's very sweet and reminds me of marshmallow and graham crackers. Still a pleasant gourmand so I will wear it. As a barista it's a nice smell to wear to work. The coffee in this is reminiscent of a store-bought light roast, but I love that smell personally. The more I smell it, the more fond I become. While it's not the right pick for those looking for a dark coffee bean type scent as I was, it's delectably sweet and great value for the price. I like the bottle, it's very well made. This smells like a delicious hot vanilla bean latte with marshmallow fluff.

This took a while to grow on me. I really did not like how this smelled at first, until I was able to pinpoint what I thought it smelled like. I think it smells quite strongly of coconut, but specifically a coconut and chocolate sweet. It smells like a Snowball or a Bounty to me. I don’t really like the smell of coconut personally, but I know people who do so they think it smells very nice. Coconut isn’t one of the notes, but that’s what other people and I were picking up. Those smells will then turn into something more warm, woody and nutty and then that scent fades into something a lot lighter and sweeter. I didn’t like this at first but I’m glad I kept using it to see if it’ll grow on me because it did!

Well the fragrance oil smells exactly like it says it does. This is 100% strong, strong coffee with hints of caramel milk. I really it on a swatch, but I need to try this out a few more times in much cooler weather to see if I like it *on me*. We're hitting the low 70's right now and it's still too heavy--can't imagine wearing this during hot months. I think French Coffee will be really great for layering, but maybe not so much a standalone perfume. I want to try to experiment with vanilla, maybe choco musk, and a cookie-like scent. I don't suggest Chabaud's Lait Concentre, the buttery salty underlying scent didn't mix well and produced an odd ramen-like scent.

I have got this fragrance about two years ago. Don't get me wrong, I loved it so much. It was a strong projection, long-lasting and cheapie for what it brung. However, me as a young teen did not like any sweet and intense, and so I just sold it away. The fragrance opened with a strong, dark coffee smell with condensed milk coming along. It is not suitable for who wants a light scent. Personally, I got a linear smell for about 10 hours on skin and over a day on clothes, which was more than enough for that smell. NEVER WEAR IT IN THE SUMMER, or if you're living in Antartica. Recommended for Nordics. Tons of compliments I got in the winter.

I love black coffee and im surprised there's reviews that describe this as such... it is NOT black coffee. It's a lactonic, caramel cream, coffee (which is cute and nice). It's a really pretty smell: creamy vanilla, caramel and then some coffee. Closer to a coffee ice cream. It's comparable/similar to Oakchas Coldbrew & Eternal Coffee. Once either one of those perfumes run out for me, I'll definitely will be buying this one! I do like that this does NOT have a coconut note which i find some coffee scents tend to do that. Im gifting this one, a great gourmand scent and super affordable!

First thing i said when spraying this was like "Holy sh*t". Have you ever dipped tea biscuits in some milk-coffee ? because this is exactly and i mean SPOT-ON the smell I get from it in the opening. In the dry-down as expected it smoothes out and becomes bearable. Seeing the notes I was expecting a mild coffee and vanilla but this is a coffee-milk-caramel bomb scent. I am glad i got a decant of it beforehand, I would definitely buy it but this is NOT a safe blind buy if you are not sure to like coffee fragrances. I would see it as a polarising scent.

At first, the coffee scent is very pronounced, but then it fades and you're left with a very sweet scent. A minimal amount of sprays is enough, too much and it becomes sickening quickly, but otherwise it smells quite delicious. I only wish the strong coffee scent lasted longer, as you have to sniff really hard and up close to get a whiff of it after it's dried. I feel like something smokey would match this quite well. My sister who only really likes vanilla and coconut scents liked this one.
