Gentle

As I appear to be the first review on this, I'll give you my first impressions (better than nothing, right?) . Immediate hit of violet leaf, then citrus and lavender emphasizing aromatics. These are soon joined by some soapy fougere notes, blue notes, almond, white musk and restrained white florals. This is the roll-on oil version, and as with most of these, they don't really project much, but they waft up nicely and last quite well for the $6 I paid. At about 90 minutes, this has sweetened a bit with vanilla. The violet leaf is still the most prominent note, but patchouli and cedar are making small but important contributions as well. So this started as a violet leaf freshie with fougere leanings, then transitioned into a violet leaf-influenced amber of unisex sweetness and a bit more depth. I haven't smelled Invictus, but this is in the ballpark of how that is described. This is safe, unisex, pretty versatile for most seasons, as well as most less-than-formal occasions. This also means that it is a bit generic, but not overly so. Age range is probably under 30, very slightly male leaning. You will smell clean but slightly sweet, and this would probably work well for dates or informal offices. For the price, it is solid, unless you tend towards high designer and niche.
