Dark Door Sport

I honestly wasn't expecting much, but this fragrance has completely exceeded my expectations. It opens with a fresh, clean and masculine scent that instantly gives the impression of someone who's just stepped out of the shower. It's incredibly easy to wear and has that effortless elegance that works in almost any situation, from casual daytime outings to dinner dates. The biggest surprise, however, is the performance. On my skin it lasts for hours, with a very pleasant scent trail that never feels overpowering. I've received an impressive number of compliments while wearing it—especially from women—which is something I can't say about many fragrances, regardless of their price. If you're looking for a fragrance that smells fresh, sophisticated and universally appealing, this is an outstanding choice. It's one of those rare scents that simply makes people want to get closer. For the price, it's an absolute bargain and one of the best discoveries in my collection.

This is better than MA's work on Dark Door Intense, which I thought was pretty dang good. The elemi interaction in the citrus open is really nice. The ginger even sneaks into the late open and holds through the heart alongside cedar and some vetiver. In the base it's herbal with rosemary and lavender, with the lavender taking on an aromatic flair as well. I can't quite get sandalwood, but the cedar and vetiver seem to still come through in the base. Supposedly this is one that gets considerably better longevity through with over a year of maturation, so it'll be primarily a gym fragrance initially but the overall profile is good enough to be elevated to a SOTD once it's in that 4-5 hour range for me.

I think it is quite impressive. Direct comparison with Dior Homme 2020 Dior, it appears this is spot on at first whiff. There is an odd vegetal/or maybe tomato leaf scent that lingers. The dry-down is quite a citrus blast with some pungency, but deviates from DH 2020, as it becomes really citrus and lacks the refinement of DH 2020. Not necessarily similar to DHS 2017. It appears to be an amalgam of sorts. DH 2020, DHS 2021. The initial blast of citrus may induce an allergy. Spray on hand /elbows before neck and chest. Maturation appears not to change anything. Same scent profile after almost 2years. DH 2020 and DHS 2021 still preferable.

This is a 1:1 clone of DHS2021 and also touches Dior Homme 2020 notes in the dry down. It is well done by Maison Alhambra. I have compared the clone with the original perfumes, and this is very close to them; 80-90% in the dry down. The only problem is its performance. 6 hours on skin. Moderate projection is 2-3 hours. I live in a hot humid region, so its projection will be affected by the weather. If anyone wants to get a Dior Homme 2020 Dupe and is unable to find one, this is your best alternative in the current market as there are not many alternatives for that. I am making it my signature scent and wearing it throughout the YEAR

A really, really good clone of Dior Homme Sport 2021 (not the older version). About the same moderate longevity as the original and they are extremely close in smell as well- I'd give this one a 95% similarity after 5 minutes as the opening is pretty rocky/spicy. The strange thing to me is that once it's in the late dry down, it's almost identical to Dior Homme 2020 (not Sport!). I noticed this, then tested it, and for sure it was nearly identical to multiple noses on a test strip. Granted, DH 2020 and DHS 2021 are similar to begin with. For $20 you absolutely cannot go wrong. Highly recommend.
