Secret Man by Al-Rehab: A Smoky and Masculine Rose ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Secret Man by Al-Rehab was my first purchase from this brand, and I was impressed by the quality and the price. It was a roll on oil, which was easy to apply and long lasting. It smelled like smoky rose petals and rosewood, which gave it a dirty and masculine edge. It was not a clean or pretty rose, which would smell more feminine. It was similar to Kenzo Homme, but without the fresh lemon or aquatic notes. Maybe those notes were lost in the packaging, as the roll on was not vacuum sealed and the volatile molecules might have evaporated. I was not happy with this perfume at first, as it was too harsh and strong for me. But after a while, it grew on me, and I started to appreciate its charm. It became my night scent, which I wore for meditation, relaxation, and reading. It was a cozy and comforting scent, but also a confident and bold one. It was not a scent that would appeal to everyone, especially in the Middle East, where this type of smell is not very popular. But in the Western countries, with colder weather, it would be a statement scent, that would stand out and impress. The performance of this perfume was amazing, especially for the price. I got it for 2 bucks, which was a steal. It lasted for 12 hours on my skin, with medium sillage. It was much better than an average designer fragrance, which would cost much more and last much less. Al-Rehab is a hit and miss brand, and some of their perfumes are awful, but this one was a hit, and I give it 4 stars.

Blind buy of the 6ml roll on based solely on these reviews. Yep, that's pretty damn close to old Kenzo. I went through 3 bottles of original Kenzo Pour Homme EDT in the early 90's, it was one of my top favorites. But my 4th bottle was like "wait, what happened?". The savory, dirty salt air aromas were completely gone, now it smelled like baby wipes on me. I gave that bottle away and never tried it again. Secret Man smells to me like a cross between original Kenzo and Escape For Men. There's a whole lot of roses, and I don't get the in-your-face ocean vibe of Kenzo, but something in it approximates it enough that it reliably triggers the memory. I'm back in the bathroom of my very first condo getting ready for work. Definitely smells synthetic but not unpleasant at all. Certainly smells far, far better than the $5.50 I paid for it. My wife likes to say "mmm, you smell like $50 or $60 bucks!". And it's strong, this little vial should last quite some time. I find it layers great with (gulp) Aqua Velva. Specifically European market Williams Aqua Velva in the glass bottle. Not immediately, the AV needs about an hour to calm down. At that point it dovetails very nicely with Secret Man, and once the AV wears off the Secret Man takes over seamlessly. I will definitely be exploring more Al Rehab scents. Very impressed.

This is gorgeous! Very clean, slightly citrus and Rosey! Light summer fragrance that seems to project well. I am using the oil version. An absolute steal for the money. I am yet to test the longevity but this is a great choice for everyday use. Maybe all seasons but might be less preferred during winter as it's very breezy. I agree with icakmatoha - this is a cooling fragrance and it perfect for this time of year. I can't recommend this enough. Simply a steal for the price. Edit: This has great longevity and projection. You think it's gone but you get a whiff of it many hours after it has long been applied. You smell it in our on the wind, even after a fair bit of rain. Scent is killer! Shocked that it's not rated higher on this site.

Wearing this always give me the sensation of having a cold shower in the middle of a rose garden. The standout impression shower is the shower gel-y and the rosey side but it's also so much more than that. That masculine shower gel and feiminine rose is something that can be talked about more in depth but i don't have enough experience or vocabulary to delve deeper lol. Something about piercing freshness that anybody will appreciate during some scorching days. But still a suitable freshie for colder days too since the freshness somewhat resemble cold air back in my hometown. Great performance and always reliable!

I have the roll on version so I'm not sure if it smells 100% identical to the bottle one. To my nose Secret Man gives the same kind of impression Dakar (a dupe of Drakkar Noir by the same house) did but with the OG Kenzo Pour Homme this time : it has some key elements from the original, but is also slightly stronger and a bit less sweet and rich. Overall, and especially for the price, it's well worth a (blind) buy if you like this dna.

Amazing.. I got the oil version and this is not only one of my favorites out of rehab.. but of all scents I own. So pleasant and manly at the same time.. so different than all others. I like the complexity rose gives it. Something in this scent just yells sophisticated Man. Another amazing thing is value of this product.. for such a price there are no excuses not to smell good.

Review for the EDP: Tried the roll on, LOVED it -very different smell, fresh, clean, soapy, fantastic. Got the EDP: same scent profile, lasts 10 hours plus solid on fat free skin (meaning longer on average skin). This is a true gem, and the price is shocking (shhhh.. don't tell)! LOVING it! Mark

OMG finally i know what's my boss's perfume. I really want to know what is he use. Until my friend bring Secret Man from Arab and i know the scent. So green and fresh. Sillage is great and longevity is the best. scent: 9/10 sillage: 10/10 longevity: 8/10

Second best al rehab. This is nuclear so apply little if u have the roll on like me. Smells like a bed of roses under the ocean. Most unique frag in my collection. Theres so much depth to this. Its mysterious and mature

This is a master piece. Just go for it. The combination of rose and sandalwood with some spicy aroma is out of this world.

Remarkable. This is my second Al Rehab, I've been playing around with Silver for a few months, with uniformly mixed feelings even for the price, but I finally ordered a huge box of single samples. (I believe roughly three dozen roll-on oil samples cost, in total, about eleven dollars and change. Ok, that's probably an exaggeration, but that's how it felt.) First out of the box was Secret Man. Initial impression: they've done a really remarkable job of simulating, for about three dollars, the sort of christmas-cookies-and-turpentine accord that I've previously always paid a lot more to be put off by. I put it on shortly before wading out into the city smog to go shopping. While I was shopping, something strange happened... as I made my rounds, amidst the ambient background of car exhaust and eau de vagrant, I began to detect faint whiffs of something nice-smelling. Fast forward an hour, I get home and smell my wrists and there's no cookies. There's no turpentine. This thing has done a complete right turn. Now all I've got is very mild citrus, a little soapiness in the pleasing way some green scents are, a hint of woodiness. I'm not going to say it's an amazing fragrance, but it's definitely nice, and for a tiny fraction of the cost of, well, just about anything else, it's much more than a small fraction as nice. Coincidentally, I recently discovered Kenzo Pour Homme. One of my goals in my fragrance journey — some of you are going to think I'm crazy, but some of you know and will fully understand — has been to find a more conventional fragrance that is a good substitute for the scent of Old Spice Captain deodorant. We'll leave the reasons for that aside, but Kenzo Pour Homme is so far the leading candidate, by a country mile. KPH is very much in the same family as Captain, very close in it's green/marine/woody accords, but, it's missing a certain soapiness. Layering it with other, soapier colognes hasn't been a notable success (like my belovedly soapy Mugler, a reliable dumb reach for me, but sometimes unfortunately dicey in less-than-careful combination with other favorites.) But Secret Man... I wouldn't even have thought of KPH until I came here to leave a review and saw the mentions. But, yes. No, it's not the same fragrance. But it's in the same ballpark, and better, seems weak in the things KPH is good at, and stronger in the soapy department KPH doesn't quite have. Together, these might form complimentary halves of the long-sought fragrance substitute for Captain, and spare me any further urge to slather myself head to toe with a stick deodorant every day. And even if not, ok, Silver is a mixed bag by me, but Al Rehab has scored a relative hit on my second outing with them. It's not a masterpiece, but it's a $3 roll-on bottle that, at least after the strange initial gourmand opening thankfully disappears without a trace, lingers on smelling as nice or nicer than other bargain favorites that cost more. UPDATE: On second wear, just a day later, I got an overdose of roses that I detected not even a hint of the first time, and which lasted literally through the next day, and no woodiness at all. Funny how olfaction works. UPDATE DE LA UPDATE: Four days later, I gave it a third try. I don't know if this stuff just needs air for a few days or what, but this time, I opened it and was hit instantly with a huge bloom of rose and woody accords, and, I feel strange saying this about a $3 bottle of fragrance, but today, somehow, magically, it's not just nice, it's not just good for $3, it's _gorgeous_, full stop. The whole thing is a mystery to me. But boy does it smell fantastic today. I shpritzed some Kenzo Pour Homme on top of it and let an hour go by, and, let me tell you, I am a happy and very good-smelling camper right now. I might even leave my house.

70% Kenzo Pour Homme 20% CK Escape 10% Versace Eau Fraiche Waxy loud Citrus Opening Bright Green Notes Very Balmy and Creamy while it is similar to kenzo pour homme its a bit creamier and spicy i also detect fruity woody vanilla notes which start to open a bit during the heart that's where comparisons to ck escape may come from the initial citric sharpness reminiscent of eau fraiche's opening replace the cucumber with sour fruits and sandalwood the sandalwood and lemon are the star of this show which gives secret man a different vibe then kenzo which my nose finds a bit more aquatic and green the subtle rose in the background adds a floral wax like creaminess that carry's to the base and the woody spices on the drydown make this border on a woody floral musk/bright citrus aquatic this cologne tends to get compliments if you wear this people will tell you how good you smell very inoffensive charming and unique I can see where the comparisons for kenzo ph come from but the subtle changes to certain notes and the unrefined loudness of the initial citrus opening makes this stand on its own this ones a rollercoaster to my nose going from citrus aromatic to woody floral musk the waxy creaminess from the woods and rose add a balmy aquatic aura that projects from top to heart secret man smells like fruit and lemon trees growing near the beach on a bright day a sudden rain shower dampens the sand folks this needs heat to really get going perfect for hot weather or any weather when you want to smell good and get compliments... 9.3 out of 10

I've gone back and forth about this one. Some times I think I'll pass it on, other times it's just so beautiful and different from other things I use. My next consideration is whether hubs wants to wear it. Here's what I get overall: a musky (yes), leathery (yep), green, floral, herbaceous fragrance. I get virtually no citrus, not really any spice. I get a teensy touch of sandalwood, but mostly it opens with a blast of beautiful and masculine rose, and settles into a herbal base that is layered with an almost petrol-type leathery scent. This is fresh and masculine. It's really not a feminine scent at all, even for a gender-bender like myself. I can imagine it beautiful layered with another rose, a nice green (like Al-Rehab Green Tea), a musk, or lavender fragrance. It could be a go-to classic scent for men for next to nothing (price wise). I have the oil.

Kenzo Pour Homme is one of my favorite fragrances, so when I saw this get so many "reminds me of" votes, for such a low price, I had to try it! While I can see where those votes are coming from, but nah, this isn't a KPH clone. I'd say it's closer to Calvin Klein Escape, if anything, with a distinct fruity note that is constantly doing battle with the KPH-ish dark green notes. It's an interesting concoction and, as another reviewer mentioned, it's definitely got a '90s vibe. You will definitely appreciate this one if you like fragrances from that era. I got the roll-on perfume oil version. It doesn't project very strongly but lasts FOREVER on my skin - at least 12 hours, if not longer.

I was immediately reminded of an old beau who constantly wore CK 'Escape for Men'. It has that same melon-nutmeg-bergamot top with fresh greenery hiding underneath. It also smells somewhat of 'Paradise Homme', but the color-scheme of Secret Man's packaging mimics Escape's only too well... so I'll assume that is the intention- and honestly it lasts longer than its inspiration ever did! Great dupe.

The roll on version is what is needed if you are a fan of the vintage Kenzo pour Homme edt. It lasts around...15-20 hours on the skin, the sillage is very strong, do not over apply. The current KpH is not bad though, it still lasts around 7-8 hours and the sillage is quite good. But this Secret Man is completely superior to the current KpH edt version, by far. Very highly recommended.

Very fresh, not offensive and relaxing perfume. It's perfect for spring/summer (daytime) and it works well as an office scent. It's not a masterpiece but it's GREAT. I really like it , expecially when i want something easy to wear. For the price this is a must have!! It's longlasting and it has good sillage. PS...As for all al rehab perfumes, i reccomend to buy the OIL version.

A comfortable scent, just don't think too much about it, because if you try to analyze it with your nose some kind of artifical tone always kicks in. Just rub it on your clothes or skin and enjoy the main accords - but don't think about what it actually is, because it can be a very safe everyday companion, if you accept it.

With the roll on applicator I use this on my hand towels and inside my wardrobe to give a fresh smell. This is a very pleasant scent that lasts for days. To me there's something very similar to Gucci Guilty on the dry down. Only a small application will do as it's oil based.

Secret Man is a solid everyday scent. It's definitely woody and aromatic, but there's also a nice freshness to it that keeps it from being too heavy. The rose note adds a subtle sweetness without being overpowering. Great value for the price!

Despite the longevity and sillage, Secret Man is an understated, clean, fresh fragrance ideal for daytimes. I imagine a freshly washed towel aired close to the sea to smell similar to this - there's a definite tang of saltiness.

I do like this, but found it a bit too strong and masculine for a woman to wear, even when I layered it with a bit of floral-based oil. It would be magnificent on the right guy!!

this is suitable for secret man. calm person. the fragrance is so subtle but the projection and longevity is huge. i have compliment all from women.

Smells synthetic to start, but soon warms to a beast mode of a projector with a fresh scent and a masculine woody rose at its centre. This lasts around 8 to 10 hours on me and is an absolute bargain at its price point. A long lasting freshie that doesn't have a typical DNA that a lot of freshies do. You can over do it very easily with this so start with dabs as you get the hang of it. The small roller ball bottle is a great way to apply it. Also this is a total dupe of Kenzo Homme. Easily 98% there with that 2% Arabian twist.

smells like a musty guy who is applying too much of his sister's deodorant to cover up his BO instead of just taking a shower. I don't get any green notes or roses, instead it is overwhelmingly white must scented. Smells a bit like a home depot. I don't really like this smell, but I feel compelled to keep trying it. Compared to other alrehab perfumes, the sillage on this is a bit more intimate. Would not recommend personally.

Typical oriental scent, Rose and Sandalwood along with citrus notes are more prominent in first hour then it's bit spicy bit citrusy with woody notes. OK scent but won't buy it in bulk as Choco musk, Lord, Silver, Avenue and Moroccan rose. The quality also feels mediocre. This one just didn't click. Scent 6/10 Sillage 7/10 Longevity 8/10 about 6 hrs. Value 9/10 have the 6ml roll on

Give it a few minutes after applying and it becomes fairly close to Kenzo pour Homme. It projects fine. Talking about the roll on.

The rose is by far the most stand out note. That should be taken into account, if you're like I want to smell like roses then this is your boy but if you're hoping that the rose blends in and the wood and spices are mixed in then go find something else, I personally can't stand this, it's way too effeminate. The main accords at the top of the page are absolutely rubbish, wood is not the primary note by any margin at all, in fact for the first two hours you have this on you'll be lucky to smell anything other than rose until the top note dies down slightly. I don't get why this is a mens fragrance, it would maybe pass for unisex leaning towards femenine. If I wore silk pants and a silk robe and lived in a tent in the desert with a haraam of women a few hundred years ago then I'd probably be a good smelling man wearing this, but unfortunately I live in a city in the UK and my wife is like why do you smell so strongly of roses, I'm not an arabian prince, this aint for me.

Rarely do I hate a scent enough to have to scrub it off, and then wipe with alcohol pads....This is one of them. STRONG and cloying and smells like some cheap 1990s Bath & Body product. On my skin it is citrus with a strange chemical cucumber melon scent, with dish liquid and lemon dusting spray! I actually threw it away :) Normally I keep disliked items and give them to friends, if they like it....I do not want to be around anyone I know smelling like this, LOL!

I got the roll on version of Secret Man. My impression is: fresh, musky, sandalwood, floral, jasmine, white tea. It does smell like 90s perfume, but this one is a bit linear. The projection is short, and the longevity is a bit short also, I got only 1-2 hours. Maybe I got a bad batch.

@karlovonamesti stated it smells like Tommy Girl, and it does! It skews 100%feminine to my nose. It is pleasant, but dated. It smells like cutting flowers in the garden on a dewy morning. I do not enjoy this one.

Opens like fevicol(white glue) & then settles off with a generic rose-coriander note which is quite an off putting combination to me. Becomes cloying after a while.

I get a soapy rose vibe with this one, and I like it a lot. Very light, fresh and long-lasting.

I hate it. It's remind me of a smell i hate. It's like a cheap soup or cologne.

I'm not a pretty mature nose to hate something. I cant withstand this. I have used many niche strong pungent parfum,but man this gives me nausea retching vomiting headache.

I'm a female and got a rollerball fragrance oil of Secret Man for myself because most of the reviews for it were pretty good and I'm not averse to wearing men's, or unisex, fragrances from time to time if they're quite light and fresh, not heavy and spicy I was very pleased when I sniffed this for the first time! It is fairly fresh smelling, a bit citrussy but there's also some depth / spiciness to it. To me it definitely smells far more masculine than feminine (and far more expensive than it costs!) but it softens a lot on my skin after a couple of hours or so, smelling more feminine (and a bit creamier) on me after that. Like most of these roller ball fragrance oils this lingers on my skin for AGES and doesn't wear off until I shower! I can have these perfume oils on my skin for 24 hours or more and still be able to smell them clearly after all that time. I can't think of many (if any) high priced designer fragrances that do that - in fact, many expensive, high end perfumes seem to evaporate after only a handful of hours! Because these perfume oils are so reasonably priced I find it's nice to mix & match them sometimes, i.e. I've tried layering this with my Al Aneeq Baby Powder perfume oil and they blend very nicely together! I like to do that because then you get your own particular, unique fragrance that almost certainly nobody else is going to ever smell of!!

Fragrance -Secret Man Al-Rehab Bottle(roll-on) from - 2016 Secret Man is another nice,pleasent and non-offensive Al Rehab parfum.It is a green,woody,citrusy and spicy mix,with a hint of romantic rose.Reminds me of a Kenzo pour Homme by Kenzo.Nice fragrance,unbelievable price. Longevity - 8/10(8+hours) Silage/Projection - 7/10(moderate to high projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours) Weather - For more or less any time of year.Best in spring and summer. Versatility - 10/10 Age - 21+ Compliments - 7/10 Scent - 7/10 Main notes according to me - green notes,citruses,spices,sandalwood,rose. The drydown is nice and i get some woodiness,spices and sandalwood. Emotions - fresh,clean,pleasant,relax,timeless. Occasion -For more or less any ocasion. Secret Man is a safe choice for everyday wear.Not offensive and yet quite long lasting.

What a wowser! Simply amazing! Fresh, smooth, sultry, aromatic, spicy, strong, alluring, deep, sensational, velvety, and affordable! To my nose it is quite unisex for those ladies who love spicy fresh florals. On application you are hit with a cloud of freshness which is not harsh or acrid and which gradually gives way to the delicious rose and spices note. The wood stands firm and is present throughout and adds a rather light Smoky quality paired with the spices. All in all a great scent and one than smells far above its very affordable price. Fully recommend.

Nice fresh summer masculine scent for men. I do get the Kenzo pour Homme vibe others indicated. Decent longevity too. There's a woman at the office that wears this and I overheard some ladies commenting why does she wear men's aftershave. I guess because this does have a barbershop kind of scent. It kind of reminded me of my ex that once wore old Spice on a date. The entire night her scent reminded me of my father and grandfather. It really was strange. Thank God my wife don't wear masculine fragrances lol

I have the roll-on. I get a lot of sandalwood and shampoo-like freesia and jasmine. There's also a green tea note with very vague ginger in the mix. Add a bit of lemony citrus, and guess what? The general olfactory impression is fairly close to the original Tommy Girl by Hilfiger. Not my favorite Al Rehab, but I guess the joke is that men secretly smell like women.

The notes I can smell are of flowers, jasmine and a bit of lotus without the soapy edge; I also smell some greens, more like green fresh vetiver rather than the deep complex dry vetiver; some citrus and maybe some dark musk. I can't smell roses or woods at all. The smell is average for me, I found better ones from Al Rehab. Very good sillage and longevity

This one smells like fresh raw cut sandalwood with some rose oil sprinkled on it. This smell resembles to some hair oils sold in India. None the less this is quite strong and long lasting I am using roll on applicator. I use it sparingly and rub my wrist to clothes. This lasts for long time and projects quite well. I like the dry down more than opening.

Like libou said. This attar is very similar to Kenzo for men (blue bottle). If you like that Kenzo you will like Secret Man too. It's very fresh and smells like a sommerday. It projects nice and lasts an eternity, at least on me. And it's really affordable.

Magnifique!!!! Sent exactement comme Kenzo pour Homme (bouteille bleu). La version attar(huile)= Projection 10/10,longévité 15/10( +de 12 heures), odeur 8/10. Idéal pour les chaudes journées d'été. Un monstre en terme de projection et longévité

Very similar to old Kenzo Pour Homme. Much better than re formulated Kenzo which doesn't smell like Kenzo, the scent is completely different. Secret Man reminds the real Kenzo. Beautiful scent! Lasts like crazy!

This smells a bit feminine to me, I do still like it though. It's woody and floral to me mostly. I use it mostly after showers or just relaxing
