U2

I don’t perceive any vanilla or tonka bean. Sandalwood and pine are strong; jasmine plays well at the background with these two, while the citrus / bergamot note, brings a bit of sweetness in the mix. The combination gives a piney/shampoo-like fresh feeling, like you just got out of the shower. It’s a very pleasant scent, easily worn on a summer day, although I could see it working in other seasons too. I can see the strong pine note being the main reason behind the comparison with Drakkar Noir - or Lomani Pour Homme; the resemblance is there but it’s a small one. I totally recommend it for daily wear, I have tried many different roll ons from Al-Rehab recently, and this one a hidden freshy gem.

#1474 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Not a fan of U2's music, but I have monitored U2 overflights of the Korean DMZ to map North Korean radar sites if that counts? The first scent of this kind I encountered and still own is Bogart's "One Man Show", one of the few EDTs remaining in my collection after giving cases away to men's shelters and veteran's centers for Christmas giveaways. I gave away my Houbighant "Duc de Vervins L'Extreme" and Dior "Eau Sauvage Parfum" and replaced both almost immediately. And I will never understand the discontinuation of Gucci "Nobile." I even bought a "used" bottle of it on eBay only to get water and food coloring. This scent reminds me of each of those three great scents to some degree, especially in the dry down, but it runs a distant fourth to the Bogart, Houbighant and Dior. The One Man Show is potent for an EDT, more complex and smooth than this and only $4-$6 more. So I'd say at least get the Bogart instead, even though this is absolutely worth the $10 this scent cost me. "Duc de Vervins L'Extreme" is head and shoulders above almost every fougere out there but one, the Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum. So instead of dropping $160-170 on that Houbighant, I'd go for Dior "Eau Sauvage Parfum" a better scent for $130. But if $10 is your budget this Al Rehab is a great performer that's hard to beat.

This is a weird one. The fragrance presentation appears to be cloning M2 by Remy Marquis, however the actual smell is very similar to Gucci Nobile. A piney/soapy 80s fougere. The performance is average, nothing too beastmode. But if you’re after the long discontinued Gucci Nobile, you should still give it a try.

Technically my first fragrance. Got it at a bengali market in NYC. Smells like powdery/pine-like deodorant. I'd wear it in a leather jacket, and the jacket smelled like deodorant for 4 months after I stopped wearing it. Don't use it too much. It's strong. I got it for $5. Makes sense for the price. 6/10.

U2 by Al Rehab. First off, Al Rehab does not disappoint. This is my 6th fragrance from them, all winners. All incredible deals. Most are super strong. As a matter of fact, the Arabian houses are batting 1000 for me. Between this house as well as Armaf and Rasasi. But, lets get to the fragrance. U2's performance is not ultra strong like most Al Rehabs I have tried. I would put it as average. You dont have to be careful with the trigger. I love the sprayers on the Al Rehabs. And this review is for the spray. I get green, mostly a light pine. It smells like a piney version of Lagerfeld Photo. It is fresh and energetic. Easy to wear. My best guess for the name is that Al Rehab is the green smell reminds of Ireland, where the band U2 hails from.
