Duchess

On me, this is a fresh rose with green leaves around it, and rhubarb in the background. Dupe for PDM Delina, it's a good spring and summer scent. These fragrances need time to macerate - I bought mine in 2021 and they're amazing now.

I'm getting mostly rose and a bit of incense and not much else. I'd wear this in warm weather; it's pretty nice, but doesn't knock my socks off or anything.

The top notes are way too harsh, smell of toilet cleaner, very synthetic and gives me a headache. BUT the middle and base notes mimick Delina excellently! It’s not as rich, a bit less floral and the longevity doesn’t even compare to De Marly’s but for the price I think it’s a good purchase. Just be wary of how much you spray because it can become overwhelming after only a few sprays.

Maybe this has gotten better with recent iterations? I got a bottle 12/2025 and it smells very rose forward with a slight powderiness. Sillage was huge for me. It lasted a good 6 hour-ish. Chemistry seems to play a big part. My husband accidentally confused this as his cologne and wore it for like 3 days (all while wondering why his cologne smelled so feminine 🤣) but it smelled beautiful, albeit very feminine on him. I absolutely hated the way it smelled on me. Powdery and kind of old on me but like freshly plucked rose petals and gentle powder on him. He sprayed it upstairs and when it got downstairs to our dining room, it felt like it filled the room but he does apply with a heavy hand. I blind bought this but overall this is not for me, but I can see some people enjoying it. It was a return for me because it’s just not to my taste and the chemistry didn’t work for my body. We both disliked it immensely on me and it’s too feminine for him to wear even though it smelled quite nice.

Woah this is strong stuff. Def not as subtle as Delina which smells soft, feminine, and dreamy. I get the lychee note in Delina, but not in this one. Duchess is VERY heavy, heady rose, powdery and floral, too synthetic for my liking, even after the dry down, on skin. This is a pass for me. There are much better roses out there.
