Lilas y Mimosas

I bought this one along with the Orange Blossom and Verbena one. I prefer this more. I don't hate the other one, but this one is a lot more floral, more feminine and less shower gel-like. The lilac is very pretty and vibrant. It reminds me a lot of one my favorite all time classic fragrance, Estee Lauder Pleasures (the original 1995 release). This could be a poor woman's dupe to it. Pleasures was my signature scent in my 20s and I will always love it and was thinking of it adding it my collection (now that I'm in my 40s) but the lovely surprise that this cologne turned out to be I'm not gonna be rushing to buy Pleasures anytime soon. 90% of this one's notes are same as Pleasures. I'm so thrilled to have found this hidden gem, that too in the UAE (we don't have cheapies or drugstore stuff from the West easily available to us and when they are it's usually triple or 4 times the price). Ladies from the 90s, if you loved Pleasures then you will definitely love this one too... The longevity isn't that of an EDP of course, but at 14 USD (which is what I paid for it in UAE) it's not a bad purchase at all. 10/10 for scent profile and price.

Your first instinct might be to smell this sprayed on a piece of cloth or paper, and you might go oh just another standard feminine floral. But on skin, the musk begins to shine through the lilac... maybe it’s my own skin chemistry, but I get something that reminds me very much of baby wipes? Something almost cold and sterile. It smells like the memory of a flower. It smells very feminine, but very mature, natural, and understated. Layer this with something crazy.

Smells like something a teacher would wear

If you’re not into lilac notes, this is not the perfume for you. Very something-your-grandma-or-distant-aunt-would-wear type. Not even sweet, but just strong and vintage, and not in a good way. Definitely not something to purchase blindly, go and try it out first if you can. If you’re new to florals and prefer more synthetic smells, this is not for you. I personally, did not like it at all on my skin, even though the projection from the bottle itself smells totally different and far more pleasant.
