Makai

Love love love this! Amazing uplifting and happy fragrance that is at the same time very complex and deep. Mango and coconut are divine but somehow not sweet, probably because of the intoxicating "herbs" I smell although there're no herbs in the pyramid. Maybe this is the note of "sand"? Very very enjoyable scent - for me as well as the people around me (I was stopped twice by people who wanted to know what perfume it was). Beware of its potency though! As far as I understand it only comes in extrait de parfum form and it truly is very strong! And looks oily on skin so no spraying on your whites! My decant will last me at least all summer for sure (with regular use) as I only use one little spray and it lasts 8+ hours. I'm so happy I tried this fragrance as I've always wanted to experience true artisan perfumery from Italy and now I have :-) Smells absolutely natural and intoxicating. I love that when I wear Makai I smell unique, nobody else smells like this because this perfume has escaped the hype.

This smells like my childhood I don’t know how and I’m perplexed at the scent memory I’m getting from it, it’s visceral, will update if I manage to figure out what my brain is remembering it as. This is a fruit bowl of exotic fruits, would have preferred to know which ones. I don’t pick up the coconut as strong in this as I thought I would. Very lovely will use my decant of this for summer. It is sweet, childlike and playful but in a more mature format.

This is lovely! While one of the reviews mentions not much coconut, for me- that’s pretty much the main note I get. I love coconut everything and always have to try all the coconut frags so this was no exception. This is primarily creamy coconut with a bit of fruits lingering in the background. I definitely don’t get pineapple, just a vague fruitiness. This reminds me a lot of Coco du Yemen by Les Fleurs du Golfe.
