Charred Oud

What a beauty , I got it , as a last minute purchase from aroma Avenue boutique . Wasn’t sold on it initially felt as though it was a generic abaya bakhoor (dukhoon) ladies extravaganza . After a week I spritz some on my shirt and upper chest . Man o man this was super sexy , meditative but not quite , it’s like a treacle of oud smoldering right in-front of you, on its charcoal throne . Blind buy safe , shape shifting , skin walker-y , orgasmic perfume. Charred ouD is so domineering in the best possible way , and I submit to it wholeheartedly.

I tried this at 7scents perfumery in Budapest and do not own a full bottle. This was my introduction to a truly traditional, non-synthetic Middle Eastern oud fragrance, and it is beautiful. Smoky, deep, spicy, and unmistakably oud-focused fragrance, however, it is not one dimensional at all! For obvious reasons, I strongly recommend trying this first as a decant or in a store before committing to a full bottle. It is an extremely powerful fragrance with a very distinctive profile that won't appeal to everyone, except people who are familiar with real oud. Personally, it's not for me. As a younger guy, I tend to prefer lighter, sweeter, and spicier fragrances. That said, I can't deny how well this is done. If you love authentic oud, this is absolutely worth experiencing, you won't be disappointed.
