Brioche

I really love this on my skin. I pick up the buttery croissant-esque scent with honey. This is a scent that I have been complimented on quite a few times. Once I was on a road trip with my bffs and one asked after a couple hours, are you wearing any perfume? I responded yes and asked if it was okay with her allergies. Her response was obsession with the scent! I became known as the friend that always smells amazing after that, haha. If any of these notes interest you and you gravitate towards these scents, I recommend giving this a shot.

This perfume is definitely not for those who is on a diet. It’s sweet, warm, milky and cozy. It starts with a lot of honey, I felt like a little bee. After some time it develops to sweet pastry with cozy powdery wheat bran. All of it mixed with milky sandalwood and dry late summer hay. It’s perfume of a sunny August morning at my grandparents country house. My grandma just finished to bake sweet brioches and my grandpa just arrived with a jar of warm fresh milk.

This wasnt a love at first sight... I hated it. But i got adjusted and its just soo good. Its lightly floral thanks to the hay, but still retains the woody scent, it is topped with a spoon of honey and a tiny dollop of butter. Really smells nice and lasts long, makes your mouth drool. I reccomend ordering a sample though, because it is not for everyone. Feels really unisex, feels feminine but classy masculine at the same time.

This has the DNA of Bois Lumiere's drydown! i keep on sniffing the animalic beeswax note, and the drydown of this one gets the yeast note! Anatole remains my favorite perfumer, and this blend is a love at first sniff specially that it reminds me allot of my favorite of his "Bois Lumiere". Beautiful indeed.

Smells so much like Demeter Stable if someone wants a much cheaper version and doesn't mind having lower longevity.

A nice, sweet hay. It doesn't run too heavy on the butter or honey, rather it's very subtle on both. Instead, it's just a nice hay scent. Not extreme, not the type of smell where you would think someone just got done working with a bunch of animals eating hay. More like freshly cut, baled hay about to be sold off. Not super strong after the first 20m. Nothing too obtrusive, moderate projection and it lasted for around 16 hours. I will say, if you were looking for any sort of 'bread' or 'pastry' smell here, it's really not present. It just smells like hay with a tiny bit of sweetness from the honey/butter notes. It is very unique, despite only having a few notes for me, so if a sweet hay is what you're after this is a great option.

Wildflower honey and hay and maybe some yeast. There is a little bit of a funky barn smell but I like it. To say it smells like bread would be overly generous, it's just too sweet and vegetal to really be bread-like in my opinion. I wish I got the butter, too, instead there's just a slight sour thing going on. I think this smells uncannily like hayloft by pineward, but its a little greener and funkier than that.

Doesn't smell "brioche" at all, and it's not all that sweet...I get a pleasantly herbaceous fern-like note mix with powdery florals—I suspect mimosa played a part. It does turn more lactonic as it dries down; however, if you want a pastry fragrance, Jo Malone did it better a few years ago, but this one is good too in its own (non-gourmand) merit.

Snacking on buns on a haystack in the middle of nowhere. The first word that comes to mind smelling this is agrestal.

the aniseed and honeyed notes of the opening lead us into a sunny meadow where grasses and golden wheat grow. Their facets of powdered cereals and tonka bean mingle with a milky sandalwood, pyrazine effects and a slight organic touch reminiscent of yeast. Zero sugar - really nice

this one opens up with a strong green hay, dust, animalic and beeswax scent which is a really strange blend. but after like 30 minutes on the skin i started to smell the sweet chocolaty pastry aspect and its delicious. Sooo idk what to think...

Rubbish! Yeah sorry Anetole but I thought this was awful. Subjectively, objectively and technically bad as well. I went in to it thinking it was a pure cake, gourmand affair, I didn't even give it the high expectation of living up to being a perfume at all, merely a pleasing, foodie smell and I'd have given a favourable review but what I got was not that. I don't even get a hint of brioche, not a hint and brioche defintiely has a unique smell to it buttery, eggy, sweet, bread stuff that it is, but no. Nothing. Just a weak honied nothing really. I wish I got that hay like bran absolute smell or anything else listed here but I didn't. Not only that but I found the experience to be nothing memorable, I didn't even hate it, it just passed me by. Considering this brand has some highly intriguing releases and is very much something perfume lovers will salivate over this one doesn't do anything for me. A dud.

I really wanted to like this fragrance but I feel a bit disappointed after my sample arrived in the mail today. With notes of brioche, butter croissant and bran I was expecting something more substantial, something that would leave me full-bellied and lingering at the breakfast table. Instead, this perfume finds itself outside, dancing swiftly above a field of scattered hay bales. It's lively but gentle, almost childlike. Honey has the clearest voice here, with a very palpable sweetness that stings rather than melts. An initial green astringent quality quickly leads to a dry, muffled sandalwood that I find to be quite dehydrating instead of grounding, but nonetheless plays politely with the sweeter notes of honey and tonka bean. It's intriguing but not necessarily complex, and ultimately lacks the wholesome body that it's carb-heavy notes would suggest.

Petition to change the name from "Brioche" to "Barn." This does not smell like bread or pastries, but rather a bale of hay with honey drizzled on top. It's very green and grassy; I can't help but think of cows grazing with a beekeeper nearby. It's very linear: honey and hay the whole way. I'm glad to have tried it, but I don't want to smell like a pasture. That said, it does have a sunny and youthful vibe to it like you have grass stains on your jeans from playing in the backyard in the middle of summer. Points for originality as well.

I'm so sad that it seems like i must be one of the only ones that doesnt get the buttery croissant! I get very strong sun-baked timothy hay/clover (we had rabbits so that smell is etched in my memory for sure!) and an animalic kind of thick, resinous honey from the opening and then a woody/wheat.The dry down is really familiar and it's bugging me that I can't place it. I really wasn't expecting a thatched roof, woodsy cabin in a meadow from a name like brioche. I wish it had a creamier/salty butter kind of scent w baked bread.

On paper the honey, hay, and anise are fairly strong. On my skin the anise fades from sickly sweet to a lovely backbone for the hay. After a few hours the warm smell of butter rises which is weird, I've been buttered. Its not entirely convincing to me as brioche more like its reminiscent of the warmth and comfort of rich dessert bread. That said it's fairly balanced with what comes across as a sweet herbal chamomile. The honey is present to me throughout.

Burnt skin after a full day of sunbathing in combination with a wooden deck chair, from which you have just sanded down the old layer of varnish and applied a thick coat of new Yacht varnish. Weak sillage and longevity. Not unpleasant or too chemical but weak in most ways of the word.

is the brioche in the room with us now? this doesn't smell bad by any means, it's nothing to write home about either, i didn't particularly enjoy it. looking at the notes i thought i would, so i'm kinda disappointed!

honey and hay. that’s all you get. a good hay note nonetheless but paired with a syrupy sweet store bought adjacent honey. disappointing

Makes sense that the notes described are "sweet" and nothing else because if a perfume could give you a cavity, this would be it. Way too buttery sweet not even a soft sweet or creamy sweet but like the free perfume sweet you would get with your Barbie doll in the 80's. All I get is a butter croissant and hay. I feel like someone shoved a stick of salted butter up my nose.

Got a sample of this and I wanted to throw up. It was the hay and honey, my nose just was not adjusted. I craved smelling it today and now I'm addicted, I love that it has the more herbal hay note. It is so unique. I played around with it and added Kayali vanilla 28. Mostly because I plan on taking it back to the store tomorrow. These two small gorgeous together.

Brioche is a fluffy, creamy pastry confection – with a strong anise note I find nauseating. Is there hay in the base? yeah. Does that make it ok? no. I’m serious guys, this is a lot of anise. Sweet, dessert-y anise. It’s not an accent like in Apres L'Ondee, it is the main event. I’m sure this is the right scent for somebody...but know what you’re getting into.

This is an interesting one! No baked goods in sight for me, just a pleasant honey note (which is a little miracle, as with very few exceptions I do not enjoy honey in perfumes) a bit of sweet whipped cream and on my skin I clearly smell chamomile! I have been looking for a chamomile scent for a very long time, but never really found it, even if it was among the notes. This is chamomile, as I remember it freshly picked in my granny's garden many moons ago, the smell of the flower, crushed between my fingers, but also chamomile tea. It also has a very slight anisey or fennely angle to it, that for a moment brings Osafume by Olympic Orchid or some almost forgotten cough draught from childhood to mind. Very weird combination, but it works for me. I find it very calming and comforting.

This one made me grab the entire discovery set, but the hype did not result in a love at first sniff. No brioche here, no buttery smoothness. Very loud. Piercing, in fact. Lots of sandalwood, and a faint shadow of a croissant somewhere along the 40th-minute mark. Each scent of this collection feels like thousands of tiny perfume-daggers dispersed into a wide-diameter cloud. Still, I think most people would consider this a good thing.

I just received this as a sample with my Luckyscent order. I tried it before reading the notes and thought it was very floral which was unexpected (brioche?). It’s the hay note. It’s strangely floral and intriguing. I’ll try it a few more times but it’s uniqueness could be fb worthy.

I get the bread/pastry thing as a powerful accord above everything else once it's been given a moment to dry down - I can't imagine someone saying there is no bread/pastry smell here but I guess our noses are all different.

It essentially smells like beeswax lip balm, it's not a gourmand fragrance, it's barely sweet so no brioche in sight. It's very herbal/herbaceous, a bit bitter, very strong beeswax smell. I don't like it.

I bought a sample of this. When I went to open the sample, a little bit of the perfume sprayed out onto my hand and clothes. I immediately started gagging. This smells incredibly bad. Wouldn’t recommend.

Sweet-smoky-woody-floral scent that does not necessarily remind me of bread in the way that Panettone (Milano Fragranze) does. Very nice nonetheless with decent longevity and close-medium projection.

Why does this only smell like Johnson’s baby shampoo to me? I get nothing else- just that. I’m sooooo disappointed. The fact that people are getting ANYTHING other than a soapy smell is crazy to me.

A bready, delicately spiced sandalwood perfume. Just a light drizzle of honey so it’s not even sweet, dusty, yeasty and warm. Perfect bedtime perfume.
