Ceramic

I love a light perfume that is beast mode and lasts all day. This is my favorite type of scent but it is oddly hard to find. Light scents usually don't last (think Jo Malone), and beast mode scents are usually overpowering (think Bianco Latte and Guidance). I love to overspray and smell the scent on my arm all day long because I, like 90% of the world, work in an office and need to be mindful of my colleagues. Andrea Maack scents are amazing and just that - light beast mode scents you can wear anywhere and will last all day on skin - especially on clothes. In particular, I love Ceramic and Soft Tension. Yes they are soft, inoffensive, clean and musky but they are not like anything I have smelled before, are extremely comforting, and my office absolutely loves them. I smell clean, I feel invigorated and I feel like I smell pretty all day long. Money well spent in my opinion. Ceramic is floral, musky, a bit citrusy and lasts ALL DAY but in a light, close bubble that is perfect for work. I think this is master perfumery, and a nice solid skin scent that WAFTS (I love a perfume that wafts!) every once in a while is exactly what I am looking for. I have three Andrea Maack perfumes and can't wait to get another one.

I was sitting across the table from someone and her fragrance left me tongue tied. I asked her what it was. She sd it was Ceramic from Andrea Maack. This is light and pretty girl clean. This is Janet Jackson any time, any place, any where. This is herbal 🫖 tea calming, oatmeal & camomile. This is non offensive quiet luxury. This is kin to Byredo Blanche and Tocca Giulietta. It smells like it has some iris and violet in there but its Freesia, non indolic white flowers, Lily of the Valley, Musk, and a touch of Amber. This feels like warm pure love. I love giving and receiving compliments. I had this on the other day. A very young (around my son's age) & extremely handsome man with a thick New York accent that I adore says to me, "DATS YOU? YOU smellin' like that?" I shook my head up and down yes with a little smile. He sd, "That's goooood! Its some type of vanilla or something!" I didn't bother to correct him being that he was on the phone. This is so fb worthy.

I am so excited to be one of the first to review. I blind bought this fragrance, which I normally would not do. It smells almost exactly the way I had imagined, inspired by Icelandic white clay. I took a ceramics class in college, if we spent a little extra $$ at the bookstore we could purchase white clay. It smells how I remember it, but with a twist. If someone had never smelled white clay before I could see it smelling like clean laundry fresh out of the dryer. I was worried it would be too floral smelling but it isn’t. The bottle is also to die for, I had picture it resting on it’s side next to the rest of my fragrance collection. If this fragrance doesn’t sound like it’s for you, then I would look into other scents from this house. Each scent is a extremely different and niché I’m sure you will find something full bottle worthy.

perhaps my taste has been changing, because this is a scent profile I would normally call *not my taste*: clean/soapy/fresh laundry/white flowers... Lily of the valley is strong and gives me soapiness and I normally don't like that, but here I really enjoy it. Super well blended, rather present sillage, long lasting, gives me very put together lady in steam ironed white satin shirt at work. I immediately ordered a full bottle which will be my first from the brand, although I am still pondering Solstice, which is an amazing fresh juicy chilled but not sweet and not candied watermelon. I generally am starting to get the appeal of the brand - some scents may be challenging but they are all really, really well made.

Ceramic is such a cosy perfume. It is a very clean scent and yes, it smells like some sort of a detergent but... there's something way more complex in it than just that. The first time I sniffed it I immediately thought "wow, it does smell like ceramic... would smell, if it had any smell at all". Not freshly made ceramic but something that's been finished and displayed for everyone to admire. A lot of Andrea Maack's perfumes are works of art and Ceramic is definitely no exception. This is my go to "before bed" fragrance, I spray my sheets, pillow and night clothes with it and then sleep peacefully and soundly. Protective and cosy, I highly recommend trying it.

Yesterday I smelled and tested the entire Maack line up and Ceramic is the one I bought. This is a beautiful clean fragrance that revolves around musks and feel of ironed clothes, exactly what I was after. It is definitelly office safe and entirely unisex. It is not a blind buy fragrance as musks tend to develop differently on each skin and many larger musk molecules people are asomnic to. Florals are minimal, do not expect flower bouquets as it is categorised with floral accords, those are very in the background. I would say Fresh Musks and Green accord dominate the composition, and Florals are a light touch for the detail.

As a potter, I was definitely influenced to try this based on the name. I usually shy away from white floral notes as they come off too much like baby wipes on me, but this one is special. It really does smell like fresh laundry with a hint of minerality like dry clay, a hint of sweet and definitely powdery but not in an offensive way. It is calming, it is grounding, it's unassuming but somehow special in a world of clean musky scents, I'm excited to wear it each time and I'd be able to pick this one out of a crowd. And although the scent bubble is close, I feel like its performance is above the average for similar scents.

I love this. Im not usually into “clean” scents, but Ceramic is floral, a touch sweet, a little fruity, powdery, and musky and it wafts around me so beautifully. I’ve heard several comparisons to Byredo’s Blanche, but I didn’t like that one at all, it was too sterile, too clean. Ceramic is alive, and while yes, it does smell clean, there’s a lot more nuance to it than Blanche. I bought the discovery set and I already know I’m going to be using my coupon code to purchase Ceramic. It will be my first and probably only clean scent, but its gorgeous and worth it.

i will never forget the love at first sniff moment i had with this one, because it was so clear and vivid, the clean mineral, aldehydic shimmer hit so beautifully. yes it does smell like laundry, but it also smells like something more abstract, alive, and fresh, very in line with the wet clay inspiration. no clean scent has done it for me like this one and its been the signature i've returned to since.

This one is so beautiful to me, subtly powdery and sweet florals encircled in a bed of soft musk. It's gentle and elegant and simple but done so perfectly that, to me, it justifies the price. The powdery has a bit of earthiness to it I adore. Sillage and performance are okay, it's more of a personal scent so don't expect it to scream!

To me this is a beautiful fresh laundry sent, without looking at the notes I would have guessed white musk. It's so cozy and comforting but with a distinct edge of something sharper. The dry down loses some of the floral sweetness that you get in the opening and leaves behind a lived in second skin kind of scent.

I really don't like Byredo Blanche because it smells sterile and overly chemical to me, but I don't think this perfume is similar to it at all. I absolutely love this one: it's soft, silky, delicately cottony, and slightly floral. It's a gorgeous warm scent, not your typical fabric softener fragrance.

get so many compliments when i wear this on my clothes. it just has this beautiful clean mineralic, dimensional feeling that feels so airy and pleasant. it shares a sensation I could describe as similar to the sparkling aliveness of drinking a freshly opened bottle of orange wine in the summer.

Anchoring the folds of clean linen under your chin. The convenience of bagged apple slices as an adult. Freshly washed bangs obstructing your vision. Rain sounds as a salve for restlessness. Reprieve is temporary, but it’s never smelled so good.

I love this! So clean and feminine leaning. Freshly laundered clothes sitting folded in a hamper that’s been sitting for an hour, still warm. You press down on the fabric and this is the smell that envelopes you.

I went to meet someone. She was wearing this and left me in a daze! We were together for hours. She was sitting across the table. I was speechless at times bc of how good she smelled. I need this in my life.

Clean and pleasant scent. I feel like clean clothes. Might smell like laundry detergent at first but I grew into the perfume. A little masculine smell but I think anyone can pull it off:)

This smells like a bathroom tiles in the best way possible. Clean but cold, almost cooling a sensation in a way that isn’t using the typical mint/menthol scent. Just pure crisp air.

this smells like when you're in a public bathroom and for some reason the hand soap smells insanely good and you keep smelling your hands afterwards

So good!!! Bought this scent for my husband and it smells absolutely intoxicating on him. Would recommend for a sweet yet stoic personality.
