Figue en Fleur

Figue en Fleur is really very similar to Diptyque's Philosykos, as others voters have confirmed, but in my opinion it's even closer to L'Artisan Parfumeur's Premier Figuier. Which means two things: On the one hand, I think it's really wonderful. It's a lush, green, realistic fig scent, the kind I always adore. The only distinguishing facor is that it dries down sweeter than its doppelgängers, even slightly gourmand-leaning; this is probably because of the almond and tonka in the base, and I guess it's meant to evoke the blossoms referenced in the name. But green fig leave is the dominant accord all the way through, and I personally enjoy every minute of it. It's also quite longlasting, especially compared to Philosykos: it stays present for several hours and noticeable near the skin all day. On the other hand, I don't need it in my wardrobe: as much as I can never get enough of fig scents, this one is really too close to the others to make me want more of it once my decant is gone.

This is an elegant fig-fragrance. Very different from Philosykos and Premier Figuier which I also own. Much more almond and more woody. A soft sillage but very longlasting. I enjoy my sample a lot, thinking of buying a full bottle.

A very fragrant, crisp green fig that softens to reveal coconut milk in the heart. I detect no rose.

The top notes are beautiful but after about an hour this goes very woody on me. Really wanted it to be more figgy. Doesn't really project and doesn't last long. Not bad, just nothing remarkable to me either.

In the beginning it is nice, fruity and juicy, then gradually becomes greener and loses some of its appeal. It's also fairly soapy, like you just had a shower. 6/10

It does NOT have the green, "crushed twig" aspect of Philosykos by Diptyque, but definitely kept that fresh calone smell, all along the whole perfume. If you are hyper sensitive to the astringent/woody type of scent but still longing for a nice fig perfume, this is your choice. It's not too cloying but still can be described as subtle(Reeeealy subtle) creamy kind of fig smell. Otherwise, philosykos is still a better choice.

Thank you very much fragrantica for adding the Andree Putman frags to the database. I have this one and tan d'espice so far but plan on buying formidable man and magnolys. This frag is my favorite fig based juice. It is nice to not have milk as an ingredient with the fig. Lightish but definitely there woody but not heavy maybe more twiggy. ha. Really nice and clean.
