Midnight Frost Tangerine

Review after 1.5 months of maturation. Anfar Midnight Frost Tangerine is a great twist of Paco Rabanne Invictus/Rasasi Hawas Ice, with a juicy tangerine in the opening. The tangerine used to smell a bit synthetic, but after proper maturation, it smells nice and juicy. Personal note breakdown (what I can smell on skin): Top: I personally smell a sweet, ripe and juicy tangerine with some apple in the background in the top. Middle: Some sweetness and mintyness/frost in the middle. Not like spearmint, more like frozen fruit. Base: Some smooth musk and soft woods mixing with the sweetness and freshness in the base. Subjective Scent Score: 9.4. On skin (longevity): 10 hours. Performance above skin based on ~10 sprays: 3 hours strong projection, 3 hours medium, 3 hours low. 100% skin scent at hour 9. Blind buy safety score: 8.5. It's a mass-appealing, fresh, slightly sweet, and balanced fragrance. It's hard to dislike after proper maturation. Unisex Score (0=fem, 5=unisex, 10=Male): 6.5. Versatility Score: 8.7. Wearable year-round, but shines in the spring and summer. Works good for almost every occasion, but I would avoid any super formal occasions, as it might be a bit too playful/youthful for that. The most playful part, the opening, fades after 45 minutes, so it can be worn to the office. Blend Quality Score: 8.0. Designer quality. Pretty much spot on Invictus after the opening. Value Score: 9.1. I bought this for €22 from Notino, and it has great quality and performance. Should cost: €30-35 Bottle design: 8.0. Good frosted glass bottle, in line with the name. Atomizer Score: 7.5. Normal, good atomizer. Conclusion and final rating: 9.3/10. This is very good. If you don't have Hawas Ice already, I would definitely suggest getting this.

This juice is straight up 🔥!!! And for the price of 20€ , it's a steal..!! It reminds a lot the old batches of Invictus Aqua with some extra sweet notes.. Imo, this is the perfect Spring scent..!! But don't be afraid to rock this baby in Summer time, cause it's well blended without make you nauseousness...Can't wait! It has really good projection and sillage! I'm very happy with my purchase!

Hawas meets afternoon swim. Id say about 80/20 ratio. Redundant for sure if you have anything that smells like Hawas/Ice. BUT, if you didn't have either of those I'd get this over those. The tangerine in this is JUICY! The opening is so addicting whereas the dry down is completely familiar as already mentioned. Great pick up for ~$30

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this fragrance but the longer I’ve owned it the more I love it. The citrus is big and juicy on the front end. This fragrance was meant for summer heat. It manages to be sweet without becoming cloying in the heat which I find fascinating. This is truly a great fragrance!!

This is a very familiar scent. You may want to think about it if you currently have Hawas Him or Ice, Invictus. Midnight Frost Tangerine is a very fresh and sweet scent that has good longevity. I am not picking up much tangerine yet so I will revisit in a month or two and see if it has changed. I was really hoping it would stand out from similar fragrances.

Not a bad fragrance but the extra Tangerine citrus boost didn't work for me. To my nose it kind of smells like Azzaro The Most Wanted which I really enjoy but here it's has a more citrus forward added twist. At first I found it very appealing but after a couple of wears it was something about it on my skin especially in the dry down that turned me off so I gave it away.

It evokes a sensation of not just cheap accords, but a chittering nuisance that literally smells like cockroaches. Do not be deceived by the luxurious and gaudy bottles, for apparently, this is the sole redeeming feature of this segment of perfumery, so opportunistically hyped by the self-proclaimed 'influencers' of the fragrance world. Midnight Frost Tangerine, despite its name, is the oppressive heat of high noon on some random street during a suffocating, uncomfortable tropical summer. The tangerine present here has all the naturalness of a 'powdered juice mix.' Instead of whisking us away to a paradisiacal beach or transporting us to the crisp freshness of an elegant summer resort, the fragrance drowns us in mall corridors, waiting rooms, elevators, and crowded subways. Midnight Frost Tangerine stops just short of being an absolute 'Nightmare Heat' (though the risk of a potential migraine remains sky-high); after the drydown, it merely reveals a bitter olfactory déjà-vu—utterly, and necessarily, 'forgettable'!"

This has nothing to do with afternoon swim, it smells like Hawas ice with spicy saffron. For a fragrance with tangerine in the name it’s quite muted by the fruity apple and plum. I wish that they would have added orange as a middle note to help the tangerine shine a bit longer. Has the same note breakdown as Hawas ice but adds some saffron. You get the floral orange blossom, amber, and cardamom as well, but unfortunately smells redundant to Hawas ice and Dumont nitro red. Don’t rush to buy into it if you own those two, I unfortunately fell into the influencer hype. Lucky I know to pair this fragrance with rayhaan icarus Adonis for that extra dose of orange citrus peel it desperately needed.
