Ishq

Ishq represents the meeting between two souls, their completion, in what is the aroma of love, of passion. A sugary raspberry opening envelops saffron tamed by talc like a cloud, I perceive a woody and slightly salty undertone in the drydown. You like it, it's a fragrance with which you will win over everyone. For me the warm seasons sees the exaltation of it, particularly during an elegant dinner. Persistent and long lasting sillage, in my wishlist. “Love” painted by Galileo Chini.

More similar to Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait rather than the EDP. It has a bit of added depth to it and is probably a better version of BR540 Extrait, a tad more masculine but still 90-95% the same. They basically took BR540 and said, "How can we make it better?" So many brands are recreating the scent profile of BR540, which does not bother me, but when you charge the same price or even more it does bother me.

The raspberry and talc accords, working with the amber makes this magical. It's the BR540 DNA with added flair, and additional powdery nuances that work wonders. It lacks the harshness of other saffron interpretations. Amber grounds the exotic floral nature, then the talc and oakmoss round out the base. Wonderful scent. I will cherish this sample.

I tried this before reading any reviews and it immediately reminded me of something - baccarat rouge! But add a touch sweet fruit. The fruitiness is really noticeable in the air, up close you can smell something talc-y. It’s amazing. It would be great if it would project a bit more like baccarat rouge does.

This is literally the best thing i've ever smelled. I don't care if i'm gonna have to sell my soul to buy it, but i'll make it happen somehow. It's gorgeous, juicy, makes me roll my eyes. Sorry if that sounds.. strange. For now though, looking for a cheaper dupe.

This is nothing like Baccarat Rouge. I dislike Baccarat, but I absolutely love this one. The Raspberry and Talc combo is heavenly.

Has the br540 DNA But it's way better in my opinion Less synthetic and more fruity A bit metallic as well and quite sweet

Interesting floral fruity fragrance that will appeal to lovers to exotic powdery scents. The perfume opens with notes of saffron and jasmine. The heart is a pronounced raspberry and slight amber. The perfume settles into a powdery talc with slight hints of oak moss. This is a light happy scent suited for summer months. Its name translates to love and this unisex slight feminine leaning scent has moderate projection, sillage and longevity. Enjoy!

I got a sample of this as it is listed by several Fragrantica members as reminiscent of Rocca, which I like a lot. So I am exploring fragrances with some of the same notes or related in other ways (house, nose and so on). - But Ishq is nothing like Rocca on my skin. It is a much more «clean scent» to me. It actually remineded me a bit of Love-o-matic from Room 1015...

On the opening, it starts slightly heavy with a powdery, fruity note, but imo, it really starts shining on the dry down. It's not as powdery or heavy on the dry down, I think it would make it a great contender for a winter fragrance

Pretty good stuff, it’s like a fruitier BR540

Saffron and sweet raspberries mixed with an ambery undertone, topped with a brown sugar cube. This definitely has that Baccarat Rouge quality about it; similar sugary amber dna, except with less wood, and more hints of fruitiness. In some ways I like this better than BR540 and in some ways I don't. It has more dimensions to it due to the added fruity floral element, but at the same time, the raspberry (being a cloying fruity note in itself) amplifies an already sugary scent. Although the fragrance altogether is not too cloying, it gets a bit tiring to be smelling it constantly. It is nice, but does not strike me as interesting of a scent as its presentation.

Ishq is a simple fragrance, you can make your own pretty easily with about $40 worth of materials: mix equal parts Ambroxan, Evernyl, and Raspberry ketone. Add very small amounts of Ethyl Maltol, and Vanillin (all are in powder form). Then add Hedione HC, continually shaking it to mix with the powders until the powder turns to a thick liquid. If you want it sweeter, add more Ethyl Maltol, and Vanillin. Gently warm the solution to make the remaining powders dissolve, then let it sit for 24 hours. If it solidifies, just gently warm it again. It's concentrated so you don't have to make a very big batch, try small batches until you get it right, less than 5ml.

I got a sample after trying it at a local store. What I get is fruits, florals and soap... very feminine and very strong. I don’t get MFK BR540 at all... my wife says it’s reminds her of the smell you get when you walk into an upscale department store like Saks. This is a very loud fragrance.

Smells like baby wipes on my skin 🙁
