Ignes

As a lover of Peru balm, ladandum and damned near everything in this perfume it's unsurprising that I'm pretty smitten with it. It's as precious and of the most exquisite quality but like tolu, peru etc...it sits very low and quiet on the skin. The opening is actually quite difficult to detect at first, there's no noxious 'wowing!' ploom of niche gas coming off this, Ignes going on more like a dry amber or one of those escentric molecules, ISO frags bearly there at all. Then it builds to a gorgeous woody, resinous and subtlety beautiful scent. It is largely Peru balm and labdanum but there's perhaps some patchouli and maybe some sandalwood in there too? The one note that is beyond question is tobacco. Now just to restate...not only am I an authority on resins but I'm a keen cigar smoker and this is the most accurate and carefully nuanced smell of a cigar wrapper I've ever smelled. Pure peru balm doesn't have this quality so I'm deducing it's another ingredient or the interaction that is creating this effect. The humidor note doesn't last however, existing between the opening few minutes and then gone by the 1/2 hour mark but a really lovely and naturally earthy, spicy smell. I love this scent. It retreats low but that is the nature of this kind of scent and I think if I had a full bottle and slapped a load on it would perform better. How about that bottle too? Ignes would look cool on my shelf.

I love this scent! It's def not for everyone. Initial spray smells like skanky oud, but in reality it's a strong tobacco note warm and let it sit for a bit. It smells like warm tobacco by a camp fire, the dry down is much more pleasant especially in the air.

My newly discovered gem. It reminds me of the woods and campfires in the cool fall weather. Quite unisex imo.

I get oud, balsam , earthy turf smell. It's quite nice but will be giving it a skip at the price

#1626 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant from scentsplit.com. At first sniff I thought, "Mmmm. Nice!" Not as impressive in the dry down however. I've smelled a hundred or more scents with this basic note combo. The only thing to differentiate this is the Peru Balsam, which works fine when the other notes are at their peak in the opening, but in the dry down it becomes more prominent, giving the fragrance a "meat on a campfire" hint that seems out of place. If you added a citrus note to this combination you'd have my attention, even my enthusiasm. Then we'd be talking Clive Christian "Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic", Spirit of Dubai "Meydan", Carven "Homme", Daniel Josier "Bois D'Iris", 4160 Tuesdays "Eau My Soul." But without some citrus or floral to offset the Peru balsam: "meat cooking over a pine forest campfire." Makes it grandpa juice to my nose, so not a buy for me. My third Angela Ciampagna scent. Third strike, but still have two to go.. Leans masculine, moderate quality, overpriced. Move along. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

تست دوم ❤️❤️❤️ هرجا عود باشه و پچولی منم هستم ✋ ی عطر بینهایت زیبا و با کیفییت دیگه با محوریت پچولی اما سایه عود بالا سر پچولی بشدت حضور داره عود چند وجه بویایی داره یعنی اینکه پروفایل بویایی پیچیده ای داره در شروع نمایش این عطر . عود وجه میوه ای بنمایش میزاره . تا حالا روغن زیتون بکر و طبیعی بو کردید ؟ یا اگه سمت منجیل و رودبار رفته باشید . تو جاده ی عالمه زیتون فروشی هست . کافیه بری تو یکی از این فروشگاه ها بوی تند و چرک زیتون شلاق میزنم به صورت . ایگنس هم همین شروع از عود رو در کنار پچولی با منتول زیاد بنمایش میزاره . ولی نیم ساعت بعد از شروع همه چی تو هم ادغام میشه و فضای کلی عطر کاملا عطری پچولی محور رو رقم میزنه که قلبی معطر و بشدت مردونه و شیکی داره از اواسط تا انتها پچولی وجه خاکی خودش رو بنمایش میزاره . بشدت دوست داشتنی و آشنا میشه . بوی کتاب های قدیمی. اینکی و پچولی هوش از سر آدم می‌بره ... چقدر این عطر با کیفییت و زیباست ملایم اما موندگار ... پرفورمنس نسبتا خوبی داره . پخش بوی مناسب و موندگاری خیلی خوب 👌 طرفداران پچولی و عود قطعا عاشقش خواهند شد . با اینکه در کلییات رایحه مورد جدیدی بحساب نمیاد از نظر فضای بویایی ولی در جزییات بینهایت زیباست 👌👌 .

Lovely but rather underpowered, warm-woody-smoky balsam cloud. Rich and earthy and organic-seeming, a real truffle hunt through the undergrowth of an autumnal forest. But so, so discreet that I lose the scent trail almost immediately - sillage zero - and then I'm left sniffing, desperately, at my skin for the lingering traces of its beauty. Not so utterly unique that this breaks my heart, but frustrating all the same. Very much of a piece with the Ciampagna line that I've smelled, though - classy and full of integrity, with a quirky sense of humour to it. It's akin to the Fueguia 1833 smell-scape - full of trees and botany and natural goodness. I just want it to be MORE of itself, louder and for longer.

A very Oudh-like opening with smoky Peru-balsam and a spicy wood chord. When Ignes settles down and the impression of Oudh fades away it evolves to a dry woody tobacco, still with some softly smoky Peru and spices in the background. I get some kind of campfire vibes from Ignes which to my mind makes it interesting for dark autumn and winter nights.

A smoky woody blend with focus on spicy tobacco set in a company of chocolatey patchouli, creamy smoky Peru and spicy earthy vetiver. The romantic concept behind the perfume is the ambiance of the nocturnal rite of Faugni taking place before the winter solstice in Atri (the perfumers’ home town).
