Miracula

It hard to know how to describe this. It starts with the overwhelming experience of green- like you’re on a different planet where spring starts all in one day. All the plants unfurling and growing rapidly before your eyes. On this planet, everything is green and smells of riotous life that can’t be contained. It’s not a humid green though, more of a dry green, like cut grass in a field. In that field are also flowers, and after awhile you start to smell them interweaving with all the grasses. They slowly take on a more dominant role, and they are accompanied by wood and vanilla. The dry down is mainly these woods and a lovely soft vanilla. While the dry down is nice, it’s that psychedelic green explosion in the beginning stages that really defines this perfume. That stage lasts a couple hours, the whole experience is about 5 hours. This is unisex.

An exquisite sweet, green and floral fragrance. In the center of the perfume a delicious tuberose, which with the accompanying notes gives the sensation of having been baked inside a cake. On the other hand, the green notes give the fragrance naturalness, giving the sensation of a whole flower or a flower in the field. The performance of the fragrance is quite moderate, with an average high duration of between 8-10 hours and a fairly soft and limited projection. Although it is labeled as extrait it has a behavior more similar to an EDP. The quality of ingredients feels high and I imagine that is what justifies its high price, disproportionate compared to other products of the brand. Opens with a bright green tuberose and a strong herbal, musky ambrette. The tuberose recedes into the background relatively quickly and the dry down is similar to peau d’ambrette. If you love ambrette and tuberose it’s a must have; if you don’t tread carefully~

Tremendous green natural tuberose on opening, but, alas, it does not last, and dries down quickly to something that, to my nose, is not the least bit interesting. Shame. But the opening is to die for.

What a strange one!!! If this is how the rest of Angela's perfumes are, I am super excited for my future journey into this house! It is an aromatic perfume for sure. Sort of a natural smelling perfume of zesty bright florals with a strange contrasting undercurrent that smells lactonic. When I first applied this sample without knowing the notes, I thought that this smelled like a rice pudding or cereal with oat-milk that has curdled under the sun next to a flower bed and maybe a citrus tree nearby? Definitely comes off as off/curdled/sour milk on me (which i haven't experienced with other 'lactonic' fragrances like Blanche Bette or say, odette perfumes that have a butter note) which makes me feel pretty sure that this is unique to this fragrance and not my Ph. The bizarre thing is that where this would freak out/disgust anyone reading this, it actually isn't bad. I kinda love it. It is unique for sure and more aromatic than it is 'curdled oat milk'. I love strange perfumes and this is definitely that! This has reignited my love for perfumes again as I was finding too many things that are 'strange' were just smelling like other DNAs I already had.

A very green and vegetal tuberose. Nothing bubblegummy about it, just green, vegetal and warm. It smells like the whole tuberose plant, rather than just the flower. I get something very "stony" too, like concrete in the notes. As I saw in another review, this gives me the impression of a flower growing in the middle of a concrete basement. Like nature winning against civilization. I find it quite gorgeous. Longevity is really great as you'd expect from an extrait. Projection is moderate, actually close to skin.

Fresh cut tuberose. This blend is all around tuberose. It's a mellowed tuberose with it's greenish cuts mingled with tuberose and not a freshly picked tuberose. Schezwan pepper is there beside the musk and ambrette. It's fine but it's too thin and weak as i believe it stays close to skin.

Beautiful. If you wonder what real tuberose smells like, this is it. Tuberose absolute has the same camphorous, thick, nectar-like sweetness. Miracula is softer and more subtle, but it is essentially a tuberose soliflore.
