E-lectron (ἤλεκτρον)

The strongest note I get by far is some sort of chemical plastic sort of smell. Must be the ambreine. This was shocking to smell. Every single other Angelos Creation has been of a certain caliber and quality. This is shocking. The other notes if they are even there, are drowned out by a very harsh, not good smelling chemical note. Very sad. I don't know what happened or if the house will come back from this obvious misstep. There is a new release that has absolutes and 20% irones listed in the actual note breakdown, so maybe this was a one time thing. I can't believe this. Angelos Creations Olfactives were better than some of the classics. That's right I said it, the classics. Creations such as Grace d'orient. Better than some highly regarded classics. Did I get the wrong sample from luckyscent? I think it was correct because it literally smells like an Angelos creation with a chemical dumped all over it. I don't know what happened.

A very peculiar fragrance but nonetheless wonderful. A multifaceted and shifting opening of cocoa and resin, slightly sweet and fresh and somehow almost damp like wet hay. Transitioning quickly to its main experience which is a dry, dusty resin, reminding me of unburnt incense. Articulating its full experience is hard, and I’m afraid It would be an injustice to describe it with simple words. It brings back memories of smelling tree resin in the south of France on a warm day, breaking its dried hard sap, rubbing it in between my hands and plunging my face into them. It’s not a huge fragrance but it does have presence, enough to be noticed when wearing but never enough to fill a room. In my opinion, it’s a perfect mix of performance and longevity, with it lasting on my skin for more than 10 hours. A personally meaningful experience and a bottle I will keep, use and cherish.
