Grâce D' Orient

I immediately liked this one, but it took several wears to love it! Beyond the initially obvious comfy cozy vibes there is an energizing tension between cool, rooty iris, energetic clove, and sleepy benzoin. While I had initially pegged this as a delicious bedtime scent (and hey, that’s no insult!) I now think of it as much more versatile, suitable for any occasion where you want a little interest that is not overbearing or potentially off putting to others. It’s like a warm hug from the most interesting person you know.

Grâce d’Orient is a an oriental dream, a fragrance built around an incredible Siam benzoin , intoxicating florals, warm spices, and beautiful sweet elements that contribute to the overall mesmerizing effect on the wearer! Speechless!

A benzoin driven scent. Benzoin is a bit bitey, balsamic, slightly vanilla. Cloves, patchouli, labdanum anchor the scent. Its a spicy amber vibe along the lines of Opium. Florals counterpoint the spicy amber accord. Just beautiful.

Unfortunately, this is really a one-note wonder, as is Dance Lascive. Each start out promisingly, tantalizingly promising a multiplicity of notes. However, each quickly dry down into a basic accord. Spicy cloves with a little kick of something sweet, like cherrywood, in the case of Grace d'Orient, and pretty much just leather in the case of Dance Lascive. Reminds me of Parfum Sacre by Caron. Highly overpriced.

wow, just wow. benzoin-orris-vanilla-floral heavy! really lovely oriental, this has no structure so the scent is surprising but complex at the same time. very natural smelling and smooth, you can tell angelo is experienced and knows what's he doing, this has a chypre like structure too so i would call this a oriental-floral-chypre scent. performs better in cooler weather but this is surprisingly light & airy to my nose (not weak), it projects well & last well on my skin (7-8 hours). you could definitely pull this off in summer evenings or nights, not that spicy to my nose either. i can't put it into words or how to describe it but basically, the orris in this is the best i have ever smelt & the florals are executed wonderfully while smelling so natural & soft. this will be my new signature as i'm a sucker for benzoin, orris and florals and this was really well done. dear angelos, you've created a masterpiece. 👏🏻 10/10 (flawless)

Well, this is mighty nice. The clove and violet opening is spectacular. This feels very much like a vintage Caron, like En Avion, Tabac Blond, and Poivre all rolled up in one. Scintillating and warm benzoin makes this super fleshy and chewy. The rosiness is so Daltroff Caron, too! If it weren't aware of and in love with the Caron classics, I would be hard-pressed not to get a bottle of this and envelop myself. Derivative, but so nicely rendered! It motivates me to smell more from this house, for sure.

At first this was overwhelming cloves, but as it dries down it gets a whole lot calmer/nicer. The drydown really reminds me of the drydown of Bengale Rouge, but BR has more intensity and sillage than this does, and I feel I don't need both. It's lasted six hours on me at this point and still going, although it's very soft now.

Cloves, cinnamon, blue lotus, jasmine, white musk, lavender, tonka and cedarwood. What starts out as a gorgeous cola-accord turns into a more floral, dry woody scent after the initial 30 minutes. Smells like an ancient formula for perfume interpreted in a modern way. For fans of TRNP's Nefertum, Alizés and Roja's Enigma.

Very vintage smelling scent. Prominent benzoin, labdanum, patchouli and cloves galore. Not too much of the floral notes...this is similar to Parfum Sacre and many other vintage scents . Sample it first. It is loud and intense, with a brownish tint to the liquid.... Not for the faint of heart.

I feel like this is one of those fragrances that tried to add too many notes and ended up with something that has no real direction. I suppose as Farrque said it is an ancient scent trying to be modern.

This is such a beautiful fragrance. Spicy and warm, enticing and elegant. I am speechless ❤️
