I've had a big bottle of this for a while and wanted to finally wear it. So on first few sprays, like some other posters, it smelled pretty weird and I was disappointed. But then I remembered reading somewhere on these boards about clearing out the spray nozzle if a bottle had been sitting around for a long time so I gave it a good 25 full sprays and now it smells great! Just like it should, juicy peaches and freesia! I am so in love with freesia! And the oakmoss does not overwhelm in this like it tends to do in so many others. The bergamot and lemon are nicely done, staying quietly in the background, not too sour, adding a little sparkle, just right. For a fragrance that has only five notes it smells more rich and complex to me. Love this will be wearing it for the next few days, it'll perk me up during the gloomy wet days that are forecast for the next while ahead.

ANIMALE ANIMALE EAU PERFUM LOVE YOU Yesterday was my niece birthday, so i went to buy a present for her, i was past by the perfume store so i just run in quickly to pick up my usually ANIMALE, but by the hurry i toke this one (ANIMALE ANIMALE) instead of (ANIMALE), because the presentation is similar, well i realized that when i was at home, So I come in fragantica to read the review before open it. "I ONLY READ BAD COMMENT ABOUT IT" so i went to the party, this morning i couldn't give it back without make sure i didn't smell it, when i open it OMG.the first thing come to my mind... I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY SO BAD COMMENT ABOUT THE LOVELY GEM. This perfume is so lovely. elegant. sophisticated. even bettr than my usually ANIMALE. thank god you come in my life ANIMALE ANIMALE. jeje Scent=10 projection=10 (Last on my skin)=8+hours

Blind buy at Ross Dress for Less today, I love it smells to my nose so much like the original Giorgio Beverly Hills, not a nose burner though, softer. 2 sprays on my arm and it's still going after 5 hrs. Very Feminine pretty scent with a bit of spice! I'm really enjoying it! First spray has a bit of sharpness wait 10 minutes and no need to go overboard 2 sprays is good! I think this a fun scent to wear makes me feel lovely!!!

For me, the freesia is the standout here. And since I happen to especially love freesia, I'm in heaven with this one. The oakmoss is here, of course, but is fairly subtle. The peach is sweet but not overly ripe. Love this!

When this dries down this is EXACTLY like Amarige De Givenchy.

Peaches and cream it's rich summery strong and lasting

This is more eighties than shoulder pads, loud and brash. The fruit is more plastic peach than actual fruit. I love it. I love this in the way you might love a trashy novel that you've read often; you know it's not brilliantly written but you enjoy the plot in daytime soaps kind of way and it's comforting and familiar. It is partly that familiarity that does make me love it. Back in the 1980s, I owned an Australian perfume called Australis Forever. This scent is long out of production. The bottle had the same colours and there's something about the notes that feels like a connection, though Forever had a very pronounced Asiatic lily note. Not enough to trigger a scent memory but it's there. It most strongly resembles to me Al Rehab Rasha if you threw more money at the formula. The longevity is excellent and the projection initially is huge to terrifying but unlike a lot of this class of perfumes, it reduces quickly to a more sociable volume and projection. The person who developed Gucci Rush has to have met this scent. It's not a dupe of Rush but same dna. If you like Rush, it wouldn't be a totally of the mark try.

WARNING! You have to enjoy 80s loud feminine scents to like this one! I hated it at first but I love it now. I'm wearing it around the house with a bad cold and it makes me feel like a Joan Collins Dynasty shoulder-padded boss! Please don't wear this in places where you care about what people think (like at work, or a first date). You will turn heads and fill the room, and it smells great if you understand the allure. The scent does soften a lot after an hour. My mom complimented me without me having to ask her what she thought.

I wonder if some people in the comments are mistaking this for Animale with the kind of complex notes they're listing. This isn't terrible, but I was hoping for something at least nearly as beautiful as Animale. This to me, smells like lemon cleaner, a floral scent of freesia and maybe magnolia, and faint urine. I smell no peach or anything mossy. After sniffing awhile, I realized it reminds me of public park bathrooms. Which tbf brings me in mind of good memories like county fairs and the beach, but it's not exactly the most flattering thing to smell like. After a bit of time, the harsh alcoholic lemon scent and the urine fades, and it just smells like soft white florals, but nothing too exciting. I think it'd make a good air freshener, but I personally wouldn't want to wear it. @Yes Malena That's what I'm saying. They're nothing alike (though they have very similar names so I could see getting the two confused), but the notes some people are describing in these reviews sounds much more like the original Animale so I wondered if maybe they posted on the wrong one. Their reviews gave me hope that this would be more complex than it actually is.

So...WOW. I just got this today (blind buy). Upon the first spray, my two immediate thoughts were (i) trash can; and then (ii) actually I know who might like this. Meaning, I don't see any situation where I ever use this fragrance on myself. I initially looked at Animale but thanks to the reviews, I decided against it and instead went for Animale Animale. It's crazy. I respect and love how complex this fragrance is. It's not boring. It's not your typical fruity, fun, floral, or citrus perfume. It more than stands out which is good, since unique perfumes are not always easy to come across. So many smell the same. This frag. is MONSTROUS. There is so much going on with the notes that it's hard to find the words to describe it and even harder to like it when you first spray it. I'm so glad I tested it on the box cover and not on myself because I'd have had a hell of a time getting the scent off my skin. So here's the thing: if you like loud/bold fragrances like Paloma Picasso (I don't) and Cabotine (green top) then you just might like (and even love) Animale Animale. It's a combination of incense, woods, citrus, florals, and yes, there's definitely something earthy about it. That spicy note actually reminds me somewhat of frankincense. Fujiyama's "Mon Amour" comes to mind when I smell the notes in Animale Animale. I love Mon Amour-- it has a similar spice to it, but it's nowhere near as monstrous as Animale Animale. You need to use a VERY light hand with Animale Animale and I don't recommend spraying it on your neck. Those fumes will pound you in your face and likely cause a headache. Some other reviewer said that when it comes to Animale perfumes, she sprays it on a cotton ball and then dabs it on her neck and wrists, this way, it's mostly the base that's on her. Smart move because I believe it would dry down to something very warm. I sprayed it on some tissue and I'm waiting to see what the dry-down is like, but I don't see it changing much from the first spray, just probably getting less strong. If you are looking for longevity and sillage, you've got it in this fragrance. I think it would likely still linger even after a good shower. It might be worthwhile to pump the nozzle a number of times (outside) just in case the frag was sitting on the shelf for a while. Bottom line: do not blind-buy this. Not even if good reviews here and on other websites outweigh the bad. You need to test it first. I won't hold on to my bottle and likely won't try any other fragrances in this line.

I was given this a long long time ago. I did not like it at all. So overwhelming, instant headache because of it. directly to trash can.

This is my first review ever. I have to review this one to warn others. So I am a perfume appreciator and can appreciate perfumes even if they aren’t for me. and the reason I bought this antique is because it has been compared or likened to having the same dna as Gucci rush which is my all time favourite scent! Generally I like sweet and fruity scents. I had to try this one. It is so disgusting I can’t even hate pan it. It’s truly repulsive. It smells like a really violent, strong terrible man’s fragrance. Like something a mafia man would Drench himself in. I have difficulty describing notes so that is my take on it. There is no sweetness, fruitiness or floral that I get from this. Just a very strong, terrible smelling mens cologne. Don’t buy this is you love Gucci rush and are curious. There is nothing about them that is similar!

I got this one today and I've been waiting all day to try it out. I got this one from an ebay seller that had 100% feedback for a good price. I normally don't use ebay for perfumes, but I thought I would take a chance on it. I don't know how old it is so you can take that into account when you read the review. This smells just like the bottle looks... cheap! I don't like to give bad reviews, but I smell rotting fruits in a garbage can with the top notes. I also get this smell of what coffee grounds and coke-a-cola would smell mixed together..ugh. My husband HATES it with a passion and covered his nose with his shirt. There is an animal like note in this too that is really grossing me out! I guess it could be old, and if someone gives it a good review I will delete this knowing it is. I can't imagine anyone with a sense of smell enjoying this one... off to wash this off ASAP!

I remember this fragrance from the late 80's. One of my best friends in college wore this one - and it has a very magnetic essence to it with the right chemistry. My friend wore this one exceptionally well. It was really warm, inviting, sexy, and magnetic on her. I tried it, but because it was so much "her fragrance" I never purchased my own bottle. I felt that it was a fairly easy fragrance to wear - and it wore well on my skin when I tried it, but I didn't want to copy my best friend. If you can wear this type of fragrance, you may truly love this. I tried Kenzo L'Elegant and Womanity today, and Animale kind of reminds me of some of the qualities of these two. I think that it is definitely worth trying - to see how this blends with your own chemistry.

It's hard for me to identify any notes with this one; I don't smell any oakmoss or peach. However, I have very limited experience with freesia. I am guessing that is what I am smelling which is a sort of a fruity potpurri candy necklace scent. The scent doesn't seem very long lasting to me, and it is pretty linear. The scent sticks pretty close to me. I was hoping this would be a bit 'louder'. For what it's worth, it is cheap cheap cheap. And I sort of love uncomplicated floral scents. Some people on here don't like the packaging. I wouldn't say this is the kind of perfume bottle that could become an heirloom, however I think it is a fun, campy, cute bottle.

@Enchant, i idn't tested this fragrance, but sounds like yours is expired. I find the same "blend" ("rotting fruits in a garbage can with the top notes. I also get this smell of what coffee grounds and coke-a-cola would smell mixed together") The simmilar smell i got in my very discontinued Oblique Play de Givenchy: burned cake, coffe and rotten lemon, and in other one: Instinct d'Animale.

Just to clarify, this one is Animale Animale with the PURPLE lid (the other one Animale, has a green lid). This one isn’t as lovely as the green lid. This one smells like flowers and mothballs. 🤮 I much prefer the other!

Lovely, for me is oakmoss, like Paloma Picasso but more floral, heavy, so go easy on sprays. Animale perfumes never let you down and great price. Once you apply it, let it dry cause the first notes are super heavy.

Definitely a 90s blend--that peach is loud and proud. There seems to be cassis, unlisted but present. Overall, I love it. Reminds me of Bob Mackie before EA reformulation.

I found it more Deci Dela by Nina Ricci and/or OhLaLa by Azzaro... I d not dare to say Montana (yellow box)

Drydown on this one, is like Eden and Creation had a child... Nice scent :)

This reminds me of another scent but i just cant put my finger on it
