Animale Gold for Men

Yep. Its time for a full review. For you Red Dead Redemption 2 fans... this is what Arthur would smell like. Rugged, manly, worn leather, praire grass, hay, lavender, juniper, oakmoss and a tinge of horse skin. Those of you that haven't been around horses or keep horses.. a clean, well kept horse can smell pretty good lol. It does to me anyway! It starts of with an almost traditional barbershop and D&G Homme. Pretty straight forward everyday splash...and THEN...the ride begins. Something like vetiver begins to arise and close behind it a leathery amber. Imagine, if you will. Its a warm morning and you have just saddled up your horse for a day's ride. Sweet grass and oats in the gentle morning air. You put a foot into the stirrup and throw the other leg over and settle in the fine leather saddle that you soaped up and oiled the day before. Heading out across the valley you notice some wild oregano and stop to pick a few sprigs amongst the lavender near the stream. Being close to where the desert lands begin, the warmth in the wind picks up as the sun rises and pushes the air along wisping past the junipers and you take in a deep breath. You re-mount and head along down the valley path and as the grass and trees give way to sand and cactus you see an armadillo scavaging a few tasty morsels. You ride lazily along. The heat of the sun begins to make the horse's body smell slightly salty and a bit like a sweet leather. You wipe the sweat from your brow and direct the horse over to an ironwood tree where you can rest for a moment in the shade while the smell of sage brush drifts by from time to time. You reach into your pouch after taking off your leather glove to grab some tobacco to roll a smoke with. Its a good day. Longevity 9/10 Sillage 7/10 Projection 7/10 for the first few hours and it slowly declines for 12-15 hours Scent 9/10 Overall 8/10 A very solid fragrance. To me it is reminiscent of Azzaro Wanted and Armaf Skin Couture Gold

I think this brand is doing very well and with this addition, they are knocking it out of the park for the price point. It lasts LONG. I will give it more wear time before a full review, but for now I am impressed. 12+ longevity yesterday. Very pleasing masculine scent.

Cheap bottle but nice juice. I agree that the fragrance is in the direction of Ultra Male Jean Paul Gaultier and 1 Million Paco Rabanne. Good strength and longevity of the fragrance. Overall rating 8/10.

This is a gem for the price. Presentation is cheap but I really enjoy the bottling, and yet, the fragrance does not smell super cheap. This shares a resemblance to Ultra Male from JPG. A little more synthetic, I still feel this is fruity and sweet, loud, but at a much lower cost. After macerating a bit, the sweetness has been somewhat subdued and opened room for an opening freshness -> making this a little more versatile towards warmer nights too. Not redundant with anything, this is a great buy at the ~ $20 for 100mL.
