Fantasia Pop Surprise

i impulse bought this at ross bc ive always wanted to try anna sui, the guy took it straight to checkout so i didnt get to see the back of the box and found out too late the bottle is HIDEOUS!! (at least i got the pink one which is the best looking one😁) i didnt have high expectations based on the reviews and wondered if i wasted my $17. but to my surprise, this is a very lovely wonderful scent!! the opening is super sharp and stinging, then in a few seconds is an overly strong raspberry, then the lovely cotton candy + ambroxan shine through and becomes this slightly sweet, slightly tart cloud of happiness. I just love this specific type of fake chemical smell lol. it will pain me to see this monstrosity on my vanity tray but i will be enjoying this scent while it lasts 💗 EDIT: well now that ive smelled it for myself....it does smell similar to BR540 but i found that too strong and somehow too sickly/cloying in comparison. Somehow that made me slightly dislike fantasia pop

A gorgeous cotton candy/ambroxan scent. Smells like cotton candy in a warm carnival way, not a refreshing snow cone way. I have Boardwalk Delight and Body Fantasies cotton candy, and Fantasia Pop doesn't feel redundant at all. It's one of Anna Sui's more unique fragrances. It has none of the citrusy floor cleaner vibes that other Fantasia fragrances have, so if you didn't enjoy those, you still might like this scent. It doesn't last the longest on skin, but for the price I think it's more than worth it!

Got this as a sample as part of a different Anna Sui order, and I’m pleasantly surprised by this. By initial whif it smells exactly like Cloud with a slight touch of BR540 and a raspberry overtone that lingers. Quickly became a go to for me this summer. Faded away after 3ish hours, but the ambroxan, cotton candy, and raspberry notes drive me crazy. 😍 Seems to be more of an undiscovered gem for cotton candy/pink-like fragrances. 💕🎀🍬

It seems the large size is discontinued which is sad, I would snatch it up were it still available. I purchased the mini version from Jomashop and I love it. Yes it's a clean shampooesque Cloud with raspberries and cassis added, so good for a daily easy reach. Great scent AND great bottle, win/win for once!

Just got the mini size in the mail today. I could see myself eventually buying the full size version. The raspberry and cotton candy are what stand out to me, which I absolutely adore. Smells like being a little girl in the early 2000s again!

this smells really good! the raspberry and cotton candy is very prominent and it's not too sweet. the driftwood is also very subtle but blends so well.

Blind bought this for my daughter solely for the bottle. Seems like everyone is going for that BR540 dna in their scents these days. This is not a dupe, but I’m honestly tired of perfumers following that wave. Anna Sui usually makes bright, refreshing, unique fragrances. This would be nice if there weren’t so many on the market following this profile. I would have been disappointed if I purchased for myself but since it’s for my daughter, I give it a pass.

I blind brought it and got the red unicorn. The main reason I was interested is that Jerome Epinette made it. It's really close to cheirosa 68 and cloud yet it's a bit sweeter version. It has a punch in the begining because of the cassis in my opinion really well done here. It has the sweet ambroxan moment and turns a bit medical. It surprised me that the longevity wasn't that long around 4hours in the winter. Overall 7/10.

First of all, the bottle is adorable. I was hoping for the bottle with pink and yellow, but I got the purple and red, which is still cute. I wish it wasn’t a surprise as to what color you’d get though because it’s not as if I’m going to buy more in hopes of getting the one I want, with no guarantee. I have a few Anna Sui perfumes and they’re all really cute, which I appreciate. The scent however is just okay. It smells like Home Depot, in a way I can’t get over. It’s literally all I think about when I wear it. The woodsy notes in it are literally the exact smell of walking into Home Depot. It’s not necessarily a good smell, but it’s inoffensive and just okay. Nothing special unfortunately. I wish it were sweeter and fruitier, which I feel is the vibe of the bottle. I’m going to keep it in my collection solely because the bottle is cute, however I may end up giving it to my little cousin if she likes it.

This is cute. Playful, sugary, fun. Not very bold - the bottle is cute. I like that you get a surprise of what color you get. Ross has this now, and you can get it for $17; however, I grabbed 2 just to see if I could get different colors. I got 2 yellow bottles lol. Oh well - I will gift or sell the other for a deal. However, I have to say the OG Fantasia is still the best. I don't love that one, but it's better than this. Cute for sure if you're a collector of "kitschy" bottles!

I got this as a blind buy because i liked the bottle. Sugary fragrances can be pretty hit or miss on my skin. This one was firmly a miss. smelled totally wrong on me, very fake and cough syrupy. Too much ambroxan and so sweet it made me feel ill when i smelled it. Luckily, I have a very wonderful friend who loves cotton candy and candy scents in general. So I gave this to her. Definitely not my thing, but if you really like, super sugary smells, this could be for you.

They have it at Ross right now! Not going to gate keep! It’s $15! The color of the bottle is a surprise! I got the purple one! Yay, my favorite color! It’s a cute bottle, though kind of cheesy! The perfume is pretty synthetic smelling. I think it smells like Hawaiian Punch which I don’t like so may gift it or just keep it for the kitschy bottle! For the price though, if you like unicorns and or candy, artificial scents, go for it!

Performance and scent is meh on my skin - but smells great and lasts days on clothes! Received this in a secret Santa gift exchange and really didn’t expect to like it based on the bottle (cute but very kinder) but it’s really grown on me now I’ve been using it more as a fabric spray. Fruity and complex gourmand :) great cheapo

Smells lovely and sweet on fabric, but goes straight to sawdust on my skin in the most unpleasant way. It's like someone spilled a bit of koolaid on the floor in Home Depot (the reviewer who mentioned Home Depot was right on the money with that one). Layering it with gourmands smells incredible though and adds complexity.

i really wanted to liked this scent but i really cannot get past that ambroxan smell i don't know what it is it just smells like sickly sweet chemicals

I wish that I had a positive review on this perfume because through the nozzle, it smells good, and the bottle is so cute. But on me, it's really the worst almost immediately. There's an overtone of raspberry and sweetness which is enjoyable, but right underneath that, which radiates off of my skin so loudly, is this kind of 'breathy smoky spicy' odor that I cannot place but I also really dislike. It turns me off from the whole perfume. Unfortunately, it's a scrubber for me, no matter what I try to layer it with. It stays on my hands and my clothes even after trying to wash it off, and it honestly gives me a headache. I feel like this could have been an enjoyable fruity perfume if it weren't for that soggy spicy note. Perhaps it's the driftwood? I'm not sure, but I've never felt so disappointed in an Anna Sui perfume.

This was a blind buy based on the good reviews, the adorable packaging, and the fact that I positively bathed myself in Sui Dreams 20 years ago but this one was a HUGE nope for me. There's an extremely unpleasant and very common note in perfumes nowadays(I think it's the ambroxan) that absolutely makes me ill, and it's all I can smell in this. Straight to my donation pile.

This was a spur of the moment, random blind buy ($30 from chemist warehouse for the Aussies) and I honestly wasn't expecting much. It's a very cute scent though, it smells like raspberry cotton candy upon first spray and then mellows out about 5 minutes later into a sweet woody smell with a hint of the ambroxan. It's by no means sophisticated or classy, it's very much a cute young scent. I can see why there has been a mention of BR540 as there is definitely something in it that gives off that certain almost-a-bandaid scent. It actually smells a lot like Cloud Pink in the dry down, so you wouldn't need both. It's probably my favourite Anna Sui scent I've tried to be honest. I'd say it was worth the $30 but not much more than that; no doubt I'll use it on and off for a couple of months before letting my daughter play with it as it's definitely not something I need to have in my collection.

Smells like summer 2003. Hawaiian Punch at a pool party, followed by a drive through the pines (aromatic from hot sun). There's some cotton candy in there but it's the nice cheap pink snow cone syrup kind. There's a faint muskiness throughout. 10/10. I wear this stuff everywhere.

Playful ripe raspberry candies that fade into pink cotton candy. The bottle is a little crazy and apparently is a different color in every box. Sugary youthful wear for about 3-4 hours. I'm not getting overwhelmed by the wood or ambroxan on my skin.

Wow. The dry down smells so much like BR540. Why spend $400 when you can have a cute unicorn bottle and the same scent for $15😬 I’m not even a big fan of BR, it’s fine. It smells pleasant. Maybe I can layer it with a vanilla to improve it...💗

tried it in the store, only tested it on test strip, it smells through and through identical to Cloud by AG
