Lucky Wish

Opens with bright juicy citrus like a plump mandarin segment bursting between your teeth or the mist of a folded orange peel splitting between your fingers Directly beneath that is a honey lemon cough drop that coats your throat. Sparkling and sweet like candy but cooling and syrupy like medicine, almost reminiscent of eucalyptus but persistently sweet. This smells so much like a yellow coloured sucking candy that I can practically feel it clacking around behind my teeth and rolling over my tongue as it dissolves. The bamboo behaves quite literally, supporting the top like scaffolding that keeps it from collapsing into the floral heart, instead giving it structure and adding dimension. its fresh green woodiness harmonises with the semi-medicinal air of the opening and let’s the florals open in their own time underneath, mellowing the citrus but keeping it intact. In keeping with the lemon and tangerine the amber in the base feels almost candied. this scent opens quite juicy and then gums up into a sort of sticky sap instead of drying completely, remaining mouth wateringly sweet for the majority of its lifespan. On my skin the musk and sandalwood are timid at first, not really drawing attention to themselves almost like they don’t want to interfere with what’s going on up top where the real character of the scent plays out. They’re just there to provide a foundation for the first two acts and then a soft landing as the scent closes. The lightness of this fragrance's tone keeps it from projecting hugely which is for the best as I feel like if it did the lemon drop tone would be overpowering. It is noticeable but if applied moderately it’s not going to fill a room or even a car. its delicateness is something to be preserved, apply with a light hand and let it be aloof and elusive. strangers won’t tap on your shoulder to ask you what you’re wearing but your friends and anyone who hugs you will all agree you smell incredible and wonder aloud whether a fragrance, a lotion or a shampoo is responsible. Don’t overspray and ruin the mystery. This is a scent to be pursued as it dances away from you like a butterfly. Longevity is weak which i usually hold against a fragrance but I have to admit I find this scent pretty enchanting. I’ve learned Anna Sui fragrances are rather fleeting and i’ve been disappointed by them before but there's something about this one that is making me forgive it. I typically prefer fragrances with more depth and body and longevity but this is like a 3 minute pop song I can’t stop playing. It’s sweet and light but still very evocative somehow. I can’t tell if it wants to bring a smile to my face or a tear to my eye. It makes me almost melancholy with its sweetness and optimistic brightness, like I’m longing for a simpler time where the world felt magical. i feel a beautiful comfort and an undefined aching nostalgia at the same time. The bottle is of course perfect, whimsical and delicate and straight out of a fairytale. I’ve always been a sucker for Anna Sui’s packaging but I’ve never been this taken with any of the brand’s actual products before. For once i’ve found the contents as magical as the container. This entire scent and its product design to me are an encapsulation of childlike wonder. Imagination, fantasy, playfulness and joy. like believing in fairies again. I'm honestly pretty surprised by the effect this had on me. I will definitely be holding onto this one.

When I first tried it, I knew instantly that there must be a very talented nose behind this creation and I was right. Mathieu Nardin is the author of other fragrances that I like , including Figue by Molindard and Udaipur by Etro. This is probably the happiest fragrance I've ever smelled. Starts with the sweetest citrus fruit ever, followed by a bright floral bouquet, including freesia and orange blossom. Reminds me a bit of Amor Amor by Cacharel, but is definitely more colourful and vibrant on my skin. And the bottle...what a cute little thing! The only downside is its lasting power, but that is way too common nowadays even when it comes to more expensive perfumes. A nice surprise from Anna Sui, a brand I've recently discovered.

This is my sister's favorite fragrance from my collection, she often borrows it and says she always gets compliments while wearing it! Lucky Wish smells oh so fresh and light, like a citrus tree in the rain. Reminds me of something from Lanvin, because it also has that slight dusty element to it which brings the whole composition together very nicely. I'm absolutely mesmerized by Anna Sui's bottle designs, the fragrances in themselves however are often underwhelming and rarely match the whimsical design of their containers. Lucky Wish is a definite exception; it's the perfect fragrance for a magical fairy.

For me this is a bomb of rose to start with. Then it goes very citrusy, mostly mandarin, then there is a bamboo and before you know it, it's gone. Lucky Wish can be described as very citrus nectar. When I got it it made me feel so happy. It's a happy scent! It has such a beautiful bottle + box. The golden birds and stars are really cute, I absolutely love it, it is my new favourite. (I only wish it would stay!)

this is one of the rare women’s fragrances I genuinely enjoy wearing on my skin for testing. such a joyful, juvenile, tranquilizing, and refreshing scent—exactly in that order. Lucky Wish is the first fragrance made for the opposite sex that both bamboozled and intrigued me enough to become genuinely interested in theirs. Charming bottle, enchanting juice. Weren't I a man, this would be my signature scent.

I'm not a big fan of citrus scents tbh but i really enjoyed this one! Great for spring and summer seasons.

Im not a big fan of citrus truthfully. But this quite a light, gorgeous sparkling fragrance. Honestly it reminds me of drinking sweet and tart fresh lemonade. There is an aquatic nature about this scent which sends me to the sea side in Sicily, and the smell of citrus trees catch in the wind. Id say this is a what a summer fairy might smell like but to be honest, I don't associate citrus with fairies. It smells like sunshine really. Its a nice scent for certain. I only bought the 30ml and may have to buy another! it's so lovely! 7/10

I enjoyed the mermaid one so much I had to buy this from the Chemist too. It’s nice and fresh, but I wish I had purchased something else. The bottle is cute but tiny and I need to reapply more frequently than the mermaid one. It’s great for work though, and I keep it in my car.

It’s pretty much a pure citrus scent on me with none of the other notes coming through. I like it but love the pretty bottle. I probably won’t buy it again but will enjoy using it for summertime as a casual daytime fragrance.

Easy to wear sweet-sour citrusy scent:)

Initially smells great, then starts smelling like bubble mix (at least on my skin). Poor longevity.

These do smell like a fairy but they have zero lasting power in me. I find they all smell almost the same so if you have 1 you don’t need the other unless collecting the bottles. Similar to the purple Harajuku lovers by Gwen Stefani and Marc Jacob’s Daisy. A light fresh citrusy flowery trail. I think younger girls starting to wear perfume and even little kids can wear these but they are not juvenile.

A fresh, citrus, light scent that is the perfect pick me up!! I find this one to be the type of perfume to chuck in your handbag to spray on during the day. Inoffensive, is a great day scent that is perfect for the office or when you're feeling a bit blah. Unfortunately, doesn't have the longest wear time.

Beautiful scent and packaging, just like a previous commenter stated. This is one of my current go-to fragrances for summer (it's quite warm here now). Perfect if you like a citrus that dries down to a light musk. Hands down my favourite Anna Sui release!

ANNA SUI LUCKY WISH is a beautiful, whimsical, light, crisp, fruity, citrus fragrance. The opening actually reminds me of ARIANA GRANDE - ARI - however LUCKY WISH has more lemon and citrus in it with a hint of the ARI fragrance in the background.

Fresh opening. I liked the opening the best. Dry down smelled similar to D&G l’ Imperatrice. But I already have that one, so I wished it had a different dry down. But it is less expensive then D&G’s

This is great for summer and spring, bottle is super pretty but I really enjoy the light smell on a sunny day. Sweet, fresh and lemony without smelling like cleaning product!

This is beautiful, scent and bottle. Smelled it at duty free Kuala Lumpur, really love it but the price is so high, mqybe i will wait until it is disfounted
