Romantica

Found this beauty for an absolute steal at Marshall's (first time I've ever seen an Anna Sui perfume there, while prowling for bargains and discontinued gems) but I digress... I agree with others that this one does start out with a shampoo like floral scent, but unlike most everyone else.... I really like the smell. Who doesn't want to smell fresh and clean (especially on days when you HAVEN'T showered.) The initial blast is a soapy rose/peony/grapefruit cloud, a bit intense at first but soon settles down and you get the sweetness from the pomegranate coming through.It projects well and smells quite charming as the day goes on...it lasts for hours! The drydown is so pretty, though. You still get that sweet smelling rose and peony, but it is now joined with an alluring jasmine and some soft sandalwood. Making you want to sniff your wrist over and over because you smell so good. The name Romantica is quite appropriate, I think. I could see this being romantic in a young love kind of way. It does have a youthful feel to it, in my opinion. But that is not meant to discourage anyone of any age from wearing it, it is only the feeling it evokes in me when I experience it. I really, really enjoy this. I received many compliments so the sillage is great too. Not groundbreaking, but still quite lovely,fun and easy to wear.

I have been smelling Delina vibes ALL DAY! Although not as sophisticated and well blended, I definitely smell it all around me! After my shower today I put on VS Scandalous lotion and sprayed Romantica generously. I keep on smelling my wrist and I cannot tell the difference honestly! I look forward to wearing this in the upcoming season!!!!!

Smells a lot like soapy shampoo (maybe Pantiene?), a common clean scent that I've likely smelled many times before in products. Easy crowd pleaser. It projects at arm's length+, it's def feminine. This is my second time trying it and I like it more this time. Crisp, fresh, clean, and very young, good for people 10-20 years old, daytime in Spring for sure, it might be too strong for Summer? It'd be a relatively safe blind buy for someone younger trying out perfumes. I can't detect any individual fruits, but it does have a bit of that fresh sporty perfume vibe. I don't think it smells too artificial or too natural. The florals are nice but again I can't really detect any individual floral. I usually love orange blossom/neroli, Pink Peony, Jasmine, osmanthus (in V&R Flowerbomb), and certain types of roses. I don't smell any woods yet. It's doesn't smell like D&G's Light Blue like others have voted, but def in the same family. It's not my usual type of perfume (I prefer more fruit with my fruity floral scents) as it's a bit too white floral for me, but I can see why people would really like this. A perfume like this would make me more open to trying floral perfumes. I like it but I wouldn't buy it or keep if gifted. The longevity is AMAZING, it's been almost 24 hours and it's still on my skin! It smells a bit more like a mature women's/bathroom scent now, it's still nice.

Lovely clean smelling soapy citrusy floral. Lots of notes going on but overall this is pretty and light, it has that instantly recognisable Anna Sui feel to it. A nice pick for a warm spring day. However, I don’t find this very long lasting. I have both this and Romantica Exotica, and I find that this almost gone after an hour or so, whereas Romantica Exotica is very noticeable on me for hours. I prefer the scent of RE to this; this is a bit less interesting for me and coupled with the lack of longevity if I had to choose I would pick RE. That’s not to say I don’t like this one, it’s a clean, fresh and pretty but not overpowering scent which would make a nice gift for a young person’s first ‘real’ perfume. The bottle is beautiful- light pink glass with gold patterns (Anna Sui is the master of gorgeous quirky bottles in my opinion!) The cap is heavy and metal too which is a nice touch, makes this feel more luxurious and expensive than it is. A like for me.

This smells so good, I'm definitely becoming an Anna Sui fan! I love the peony and pomegranate in this scent, it falls into the fresh/clean category according to my nose anyway. I definitely pick up on the shampoo impression that some have mentioned, and I love how this smells in my hair more than most other fruity florals I have. Everything about this scent is beautiful: the smell, the pretty pink juice and the bottle is exquisite. I wish it lasted a bit longer on skin but it smells so good that it's worth spraying more frequently; this is one I will definitely purchase in a larger size. One of my favorite fruity florals to wear and so far my favorite Anna Sui.
