150 Days to Summer

Graperfuit+marjoram Eau de Cologne 150 Days to Summer is a classic Eau de Cologne with a shiny fruity grapefruit+aromatic opening of impeccable quality and an interesting marjoram twist. Its name is supposed to represent winter longings for summer. This makes sense as this is not a faint, summery EdC but rather a heavier, more substantial composition. The grapefruit blast from the opening gets smoothly replaced by ginger that comes out with a general spicy (nutmeg) and herbal-aromatic aura. There is also tonka bean making it feel creamy and a bit of rose sprinkled over it, giving it more multi-dimensionality. Despite being a really unique EdC it doesn't last much longer than other classics and I wouldn't get it for the price AZ asks for it but it's really impressive how solely with natural ingredients she can not only compete with other perfumers with no such limitations but also create scents that are clearly superior in many aspects. Edit: I strongly suggest spraying it rather on fabric instead of skin. It not only substantially improves the performance but also makes the beautiful citrus notes stay for way longer and makes it stay way clearer and less subdued than on skin.

Beautiful soft and warm with citrus. I usually hate citrus in perfume, but would happily wear this if I had unlimited funds, but there are so many other Zworykina's higher on my wish list. Soft, sunny and pleasant. Not as long wearing as the other ones I tried on the same day, so excuse this incomplete review (also, it was not tried on the most optimal spot). Zworykina's all natural perfumes are just as complex as the best niche ones with synthetics, but soo much better. Nothing sharply unpleasant, screechy of saccarine sweet. Edit 16/9/16 I did get a fb of this one, and love it! Have never encountered citrus like this before, it always smells like dish detergent on me, but this is beautiful. I can see every little citrus juice sack, her perfumes always give me visuals- also a first! Edit 15/2/16 Now in the winter, the tonka is very strong. I get the cheerful citrus only when sniffing my wrist, but a warm cloud of tonka swirls around me when I move. Love it!!

To me this perfume is the most desperate of all Anna has composed. It is haunting and disturbing and calling faraway. At a glance there’s nothing special in there – а bit of citruses, a flower, a bunch of garden greenery, a pinch of summer dust and a chip of some wood , but all in all.. I say! Maybe it has been composed in winter and the author put her longing for summer next to all the fragrant materials in? I have no idea, but what I’m really sure of is my own feeling of desperate longing the perfume gives to me. Eaux de Cologne (and 150 days to summer is undoubtedly an eau de cologne) should not be neither too complicated nor too persistent. Their aim is give freshness and pleasure and disappear as soon as the goal is achieved, - dumb sheer happiness. An eau de cologne that lasts forever is akin to a simple cheerfull tune that spins in your mind for a week without a break for lunch – it really can f*#k you to death (excuse my French). Anna’s 150 DTS is by all means a proper eau de cologne, and it gives perfect summer freshness and it disappears in time, and all the cologne reference points are in place, and everybody else feels just summer and freshness in it. Why do I feel this passionate longing for summer and not just summer itself? Honestly I can’t understand why. There’s only one thing about this perfume I’m absolutely sure of : there’s no any other cologne like this, at once cheeful and a little sad, like a formerly really optimistic person who’ve seen too much to keep believing that life is only about pleasures. And like such a person, this perfume has a lot of things to talk about. An absolute marvel!

A natural take on the Eau de Cologne genre, it has a refreshing opening of candied lemon, herbal camphoreous sage and Marjoram, and prominent grapefruit with leafy slightly fruity blackcurrant. There is also a noticable cooling mentholated quality to the scent. After a few minutes, I get a zesty, warm, spicy and sweet ginger, like cutting fresh ginger with hint of nutmeg. The ginger and marjoram add a twist to the usual EdC sryle. The fragrance moves to a fougerish mossy base. It is fairly simple yet satisfying in high heat but hard to justify a full bottle of it.
